I'm sick of that argument, it's such a stupid way of saying "we really just don't want to pay, period"
If you download all of your music because you don't want the money going to the wrong place, then i challenge you to donate the retail value of each "stolen" song to a charity, that way you'll be sure it's not in the wrong hands. The way I see it if you're not willing to do that, then you're really just pirating because you don't want to pay. - socoolami, on 10/12/2007, -4/+24Geez, they're only five bucks. Thats like five itunes songs. You can afford an ipod but you can't afford to shell out a few bucks to get a legit game? And I agree, this digg should be killed.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+15not "legal" ?
no, it's just plain not legal, aka ILLEGAL, no ifs ands or buts - Dolomite, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11Didn't realize Digg was becoming a clearing house for warez.
- Al3x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7NOTE!
This thread was updated yesterday, look at the bottom of the first post. Ignore the original post date and the following posts. The posts saying it does not work are regarding the original post, not the updated post. - paulmdx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9@RuffRidr: So pirating games is screwing over Apple employees, but pirating music isn't screwing over Sony/Universal/etc employees (not to mention artists)? If you're going to take the moral high ground at least do so consistently..
- dhulser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6mentor:
i enjoyed it the first time...
you killed it....
i went back and buried both, you shoulda just left it after the first one... - RuffRidr, on 10/12/2007, -19/+25You know, I don't really have a problem with pirating a song here or there. RIAA and the music companies are jerks screwing over their own artists and consumers. They have it coming. But by pirating these games you are just sticking it to the developers and people working for Apple. I don't get a good feeling at all doing that.
- skilless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The crack includes sudoku which came out just last week. How can it be 2 months old?
Also, buried for lameness. - MikeOSX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6What will happen if you try this with purchased music on your iPod?
- rosswf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Sorry for double, but take a look.

- TimRogers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It won't be long until Digg needs a warez catagory.
- Zatko, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Some people in this world are truly cheap bastards....
- Al3x, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7@halfgoonhalfgod
It's been updated as of yesterday...first time on forums??
Gotta digg you both down. - cizzop, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"I got the four games i purchased from iTunes Music Store to work correctly, then i tried the torrent of 8 games.... they did NOT work...."
-willkill07 (the guy who started the thread, aka dumbass) - awhiteflame, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Really, who cares about DRM if it's an ipod-only game anyway? I dislike DRM for many reasons, but there really is no good reason for being totally against it in this case except for tinfoil-hat-big-brother-can-take-away-your-games-at-any-time fears. It can only go on your ipod *anyway*.
- fraggle35, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3http://forums.ipodhacks.com/showpost.php?p=33955&postcount=355
This is the latest post - oesii, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Lame. Little games that cost $5. I agree with the cheap bastard accusations :-)
I'm all for hacking and emulation but I prefer to emulate out of print games and consoles. Why hurt current software developers/artists? - NoSpeakoIngles, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE ANY PURCHASED ITEMS ON YOUR IPOD..."
lol - clos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I just tried this, it doesn't work, don't bother.
- carlvjack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"I have no problem at all with this crack. I think it's a nice way to try out the games before you buy them. Or in my case, try them, get bored with them, and just leave them on my iPod with no intention of ever purchasing any of them."
The games come with trial periods either they lock up after a certain time or you can only play the first level or two. So if you played them got your enjoyment and then stopped playing them its ok to steal?
"Seriously guys, I haven't once even seriously considered buying music from the iTunes store, because I've got about 1,000 other things that I NEED to spend my money on. If it were DRM-less, I may think twice."
So you basically pirate because your poor or you cannot afford it, yeah that makes it all right then I guess. - masona3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It works. I was just playing a haxed copy of Tetris (which I bought, of course) about two minutes ago.
- Frankie4Fingers, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4These games aren't really a new thing in development. I doubt any real low level developer is making anything off of these games. They have been on phones for a long time. They are just ported. Apple is being the big bad wolf here and taking a game that cost $100 to port and charging every consumer lots of money for each game download. They made tons of profit off of the first few downloads.
Give me a break if you think it is hurting some developer to take the games and not purchase them. It only hurts Apple a little, and I care so little about Jobs and his stock-cheating ass. He is all about profit and he doesn' t give a crap that low cost labor makes the ipods and that the components of the shuffle cost $1.00 yet they charge $100 for it.
Maybe they should think a little bit about what a FAIR price is. Those games are worth about $0.25 each. If they only charged that amount they would get so many more subscribers. OR.. they could do like some phone companies do and have them built into the hardware. - Lanage, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Buried, doesn't work...
- dignon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Just buy Zuma... its the best iPod game and totally worth the $6. Now pac-man and tetris, on the other hand, c'mon... $1.99 tops... they're 20 years old fer christ sake! I'd like to play Pac-Man, but I'll never pay that.
- synorgy, on 10/12/2007, -14/+16I'm tired of people not understanding that pirating music doesn't actually hurt the artist. Off of one CD an artist may make about 50 cents. Even times 500,000, that's not really even enough to put a dent in a mainstream 'hot' artist's pocket. You know how I make up for not buying an artists CDs? I go to concerts and buy merch. They actually make more money on one shirt then they do on a CD. They make more money off of my single ticket than they do off of a CD.
Stating that I "don't want to pay" because I pirate music is ignorant. I do want to pay - I just want to pay the artist that made the music that I want.
On a side note - downloading is easier for me than ripping and I would rather have the CD in ogg/mp3 format because then I can listen whenever I want without needing to find the actual CD. - Gullop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Soooo.....does it work or not?
- jer2eydevil88, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4I don't think Apple has been all that fair to third party developers as of yet, maybe with their own games being stolen they will condone licensing other developers to sell through iTunes. Although I for one will not be using this cracked game pack simply because it seems like a heck of a lot more work to do it on an iPod with purchased content, and yes I bought a CD off iTunes a year or two ago.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"The problem with that is unless you really know what the charity does with the money, up to 80% of any donated monies usually go to the upkeep of the director's yacht/house/salary or other things."
so give it to wikipedia. - RedFoxEvan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@robertcamb5: Sorry Digg doesn't have a inappropriate comments section.
- lifewithout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The absolute best way to support artists is to go to their shows and if you really like them buy their cds at the merch table with cash. Often you'll get your cd plus a wink and a grin.
- HappyScrappy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The article says the only thing that needed decrypting is the .sinf file. And askes for help decrypting it.
In other words, they've cracked nothing. They did figure out what to crack, but they can't manage to crack it.
Marked as inaccurate. - Lounger540, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Keep reading...
- Gullop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I tried it, the games are there, it goes to the title screen, then it tells me the game cannot be played and i need to connect it to itunes to reinstall.....

- steal_apps01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't get it.
- Montezuma2004, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3How cheap can you be? The price per game is very reasonable, pay for the bloody game and help developers out; it is one more avenue for software developers to make money.
- paku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The torrent is broken. Is there another?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My point being; he's living in the US? Is he going to get busted? Probably. Joke... I guess since I got dugg down no one at digg can get a joke.

- sTiVo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1interesting post by the hack creator in response to his story hitting digg's front page...
http://zomgstuff.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3113 - 1807, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I wanted to point out the fact that arguing about pirating is like arguing about politics or religion. The only way you are going to change someones mind about is if they are willing or considering changing their opinion in the first place and since most people are stead fast in their opinions on file sharing, there's absolutely no point in arguing about it. I don't care how good your point is, so state your opinion but don't be upset if not everyone agrees with it. In my humble opinion, Apple is making a KILLING on iPods and their mac computers. I am sure they're not gonna break the bank if people don't buy their games. I wouldn't be worried about apple OR the music Industry.
