- onClipEvent, on 10/10/2007, -8/+81i'm kinda growing to like the new nano....
- cave, on 10/10/2007, -3/+59Loving the size comparisons.
- BayAreaKing, on 10/10/2007, -0/+55Damn I hate being poor...
- dyvbond, on 10/10/2007, -9/+44I know it's not out yet but I wish they had pictures of the iPod Touch...
- mymate, on 10/10/2007, -5/+25mmm my thoughts,
shuffle - yea new colours are nice - very modern
nano - i think it looks pretty cool and sooo small, its literally gonna fit in the size of your hand, and the edges just seem perfect the way they are curved
classic, yea seems real nice, like the new sparkle to the faces, although am i the only one who thinks they should have done more for the 6th gen, i mean slightly different curves, bigger hdds and new interface doesnt really seem much, i would have dugg a bigger screen or wider screen on it....
touch - yea very disapointed, 16gb is nothing these days, especialy for those planning to use it as a pmp. i mean sure the main reason for having a bigger and wider screen is to play videos on it, yet you cant get an awful lot on it.... - nobody98, on 10/10/2007, -6/+24It still isn't doing it for me
- brufleth, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18More money has been spent on promoting the Red campaign than has actually been raised.
- onestep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14I hate them. Translation - I am extremely jealous that they have ALL of the new iPods Nanos & even the classic.
- Lemonblood, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15They dont look so bad... I guess they gave up on the golden ratio they previously used...
- jeriqo, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17So is your sister and I still hit her.
- Narwaffle, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14GTFO.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13That's not better than porn.
But putting porn on it would be awesome. - almalax19, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13You got something better asshat?
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12and yet you cared enough to...

Here's a clue, when most people don't care, they don't bother to read or interact with the subject or item that claim to not care about. - Morphinity, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10The problem with the whole 16GB "fiasco" is that it's all relative. On the one hand, you have people who can fit everything they want on the Touch and then some without having to sacrifice anything. On the other hand, you have the people who must have everything they own with them, but they know that it's way more than 16GB. For you, yes, the Touch is a bad deal. For me, no, the Touch is a great product that will hold my 2000 songs and a good amount of video.
Although I do feel that Apple should have sacrificed for a bigger product and go with a hard drive. I don't mind a "thick" product if it's a good product. I would have payed $450 for a 60GB touch just because I could have endless possibilities without ever having to worry. - joegibes, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Hint: looks like iPhone.
- Firehed, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9What if you just like the color?
- Shadez, on 10/10/2007, -4/+12mmm... Apple porn
- expectopatronum, on 10/10/2007, -4/+12the nano is growing on me, the new colors are beautiful.
- natenovs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7no you need to learn about not telling people what they want and need.
im sick of hearing that "no one could possibly need more than 8 gigs" blah blah blah
and "you dont even listen to all of that music"
i want all of my music with me all of the time. that is what I want. not what you want, or what steve jobs wants, it is what I want. i will buy the 160 gig if i want to, and you can keep your damn opinion to yourself. - scronide, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Interesting subtle tweaks in the UI as well. At least someone on the iPod touch team clearly agrees with me that the metal-look toolbar on the iPhone is fugly. I wonder why they haven't retrofitted the design changes yet?
- lcstein, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9I'm buying one as soon as they slash off 200 buck from the orig. price :)
- scronide, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6The touch is the one that looks better.
- ggko, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Side by side with that "brick" we call the original iPod is cool. :)
- slimnickyy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6I've got a new Nano, and I can confirm its hotness. The new UI is really nice and is quite a nice upgrade. Further they gave more choices in terms of settings, something Apple rarely does. However it does feel as if I pushed hard enough on the thing it'd snap in half. Also I wish they had done a 5GB and 10GB model or something with more storage, but oh well. I like the click wheel based iPods since I can easily control them in my pocket. The Classic was just too big as I only have about 7G in music anyhow.
- ClOlD, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8Bad colors....proportions are so weird... looks waaay classier...
Well *****. Then those must all suck at PLAYING MUSIC. - scronide, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7You can get a free digg down if you comment on this social news site, you don't have to pay anything just fail
- HappyDonut, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9that green one would look pretty good ... if i were holding it.....
- constantskeptic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5yep, looks a lot better with big brother next to it... sleek and scalable.
- EdwardsNH, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5No, I still prefer the 2nd gen nano. If you are looking for just audio, I think the 2nd gen nano is the ultimate mp3 player of all time. Great interface, and the perfect size for strapping to your arm for a jog, bike ride, or even a swim with the right case.
This new one does not look like it will feel right on my arm.
I'm definitely going to pick up the "touch", but I'll be looking on ebay after my nano dies.
My kids, however, are NOT going to get a "touch", so they will like the new nano, 'cause I will only buy them solid state. - ripstuntz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5That iPod classic looks slick as hell!
- PvtJenkins, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Your best bet right now is the Classic. I have a gut feeling the touches are going to get upgraded very quickly and early adapters are going to get *****. The classic is the best most refined iPod yet, the Touch is still in experimentation stages. Wait till next year and get the next touch :)
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5You ARE the SuperWinner of today's most stupid comment on Digg! Congratulations and I'm sure you'll come up with an even more idiotic comment tomorrow!
- MsLaynie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Ah, beautiful red iPods, what I would do to make you available in South-East Asia.
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4If you don't want ATT, then the choice between them is pretty simple
- scronide, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Which is why they make a range of options. Notice which iPods come in terrible pastel colours and which come in black and you can start to piece together the business logic.
- magus_melchior, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I suppose you could truck over to Apple's iPod touch page and have a few looks...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7I'll be going for the 160gb classic and the iphone when it eventually comes to Asia. If i had the ipod touch and the iphone in my pockets i'm not sure if id be able to differentiate them.. cant wait to see someone compare the two side by side (touch and iphone that is).
- ggko, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4People really like Apple's products.
Apple actually puts thought into their packaging and how everything presents itself when you open the box. It's not just a carton to ship stuff in, the enjoyment of their product starts before you even hit the power switch. They've received design awards for that in the past. - turquoisefish, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I just got my new nano (first one Apple Store, Southampton sold!)
It looks lovely, not as fragile as i thought it might seem being square, Just loading it up to have a play. - MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3You live in Bangkok? I can think of much better ways to pend my time than to worry about iPods!
;) - directive0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Oh heavens no pirioui!! Carzor is right, the only acceptable course of action when your iPod's battery kicks the bucket is to toss the thing, headphones and all, into the nearest receptacle! Nevermind that there are several online and local stores that sell replacement batterys and the tools needed to get the thing apart. Nevermind that you could even upgrade the drive if you're so inclined, but c'mon servicing your OWN electronics?! That's just TOO much!
- skratchnerd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3"The Zune interface is still better" I think your friends need to have an intervention w/ you. Drugs definitely ruin lives.....just say no.
- ChrisRonin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I feel like this is a transition period right now. I think the REAL truth is that the iPod as we've known it is on the way out. The "classic" treatment (possibly the new nano as well) may be a way to keep the keep the old iPod in place until the touch tech can win more people over, or until a touch nano is ready.
The lack of major additions except a face lift along wit the new "classic" label tells me that Apple sees touch as the future and that they aren't counting on the classic form sticking around much longer. - pja7, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Far better than yesterdays dross from Engadget
- nandasunu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3did you even look at the pictures? these are not of people opening boxes...
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It's too fat for sparhawk6's sister who apparently jerigo just boinked,,,or something like that.
- CarzorStelatis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the iPod Touch have a web browser? You could therefore access webmail, google maps, stock quotes and weather reports using that.
- CarzorStelatis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Re-read the comment. He said he would be getting a CLASSIC and an iPhone because an iPhone and a Touch would be too difficult to tell apart.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3You can exchange the battery...
