- AnthonyJr, on 10/11/2007, -4/+85Waiting patiently for a new firmware update...
Patiently...
GIVE ME IT NOW! =X- r3zonance, on 10/11/2007, -10/+3Hmmm, the first "serious bug" about the proximity sensor doesn't sound too much of a problem and will be fixed in software, so doesn't sound that serious at all really.
- bpapa, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8I'll have to say, I am pretty shocked that the thing is over two weeks old now and we haven't gotten an update yet. I figured we'd get one within days.
- VampireSlayer, on 10/11/2007, -13/+1http://digg.com/apple/Apple_comic_STARRING_Homer_Simpson
WHAT do you apple fan's think about this? - ttkgeek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Rumors mentioned that it was supposed to be released by the end of this month. It was one of those "I talked with the Apple marketing guy inside a train" rumors though unfortunately.
- Ireland, on 10/11/2007, -24/+17Let's make this useful. Digg it and get them all fixed.
- salmonmoose, on 10/11/2007, -8/+31NO! Mark it as lame so everyone gets stuck with them!
- bpapa, on 10/11/2007, -2/+29Yes, Apple prioritizes bugs based on number of people digging.
- jklyon, on 10/11/2007, -6/+57I wonder if it will be just like Jobs said in his first iPhone keynote. Something about how other phones are stuck with plastic keyboards and about how the iPhone can be updated and changed and adapted and upgraded. Like say, the firmware update gives it a landscape keyboard, MMS options, etc.
?- sensor, on 10/11/2007, -18/+15Well that's ***** pr talk... other phones have firmware updates too.
- r3zonance, on 10/11/2007, -8/+31Really, can you update the plastic (physical) keyboard of a a treo/blackberry with a firmware update?
You kind of missed that point didn't you?- SupaFupa, on 10/11/2007, -16/+24Has apple discovered new letters? Whats to update on a keyboard? Oh wait, I see the problem, Im not letting steve jobs think for me. Carry on.
- anonym41414, on 10/11/2007, -11/+4Actually, yeah. They kinda have. When you're typing an address, the keyboard gives you a handy ".com" button right next to the enter key.
So yes. Apple has, in a way, discovered new letters. - r3zonance, on 10/11/2007, -3/+14It's not about discovering new letters. Wth a firmware update to a software keyboard, you can move around keys. You can't do that with a physical keyboard was my point.
- andburn1, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6The point is, with one interface to work with - one that's limited only by what software can make it do - the possibilities are endless. They could add/change almost anything on any existing device. The fact that you regularly connect this phone to a computer just makes it easier.
- anonym41414, on 10/11/2007, -11/+4Actually, yeah. They kinda have. When you're typing an address, the keyboard gives you a handy ".com" button right next to the enter key.
- potp, on 10/11/2007, -7/+9i have updated my o2 atom 2 times now so stfu about apple "introducing" firmware updates. Hell in Windows Mobile based devices you have the option of customising your own update roms. i have seen a HTC touch rom that works on HTC Wizard. Gotta give credit to MS to allow so universal hardware compatibility.
On a personal note i just feel that the iPhone is just too crippled and seriously has been rushed through by apple. The only reason its selling if because of the Apple logo.- wageslaven, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1ITs actually selling way below expectations, so, maybe the apple doenst shine quite like it use-to.
- SupaFupa, on 10/11/2007, -16/+24Has apple discovered new letters? Whats to update on a keyboard? Oh wait, I see the problem, Im not letting steve jobs think for me. Carry on.

- newstart, on 10/11/2007, -7/+58LOL..... who needs quality assurance engineers and software testers when you have other websites giving you a detailed bug sheet lol!!
I can imagine what would be happening in Apple's quality assurance department right now
Steve Jobs to engineers: "Maybe we should hire the guys at applehound.com next time"- iChuckles, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Ha! I bet Apple already knows about all these bugs. I also bet that there are many many more. Plus there is always an unknown amount of bugs in all software.
My point is that the list isn't surprising, especially for a 1.0 product.- Ravatar, on 10/11/2007, -9/+2I think you meant 0.1
- Moosehawk, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2You can't expect for them to wait to test every single little detail on the iPhone until they found every bug. If they did so, we wouldn't have seen it released until a while from now.
Having all the customers report in bugs is better for both the customer and Apple. Having less "quality assurance," as you call it, reduces the cost of the iPhone because labor costs less, while Apple can release the iPhone much quicker. Besides, it's not like they can't just put out an update quick for a major problem.- iChuckles, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Not an attack on you, but you demonstrate the ignorance most people have about computer software products. That is that you cannot find every bug. I don't think most people understand that.
- Moosehawk, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1I assume you were replying to newstart, as that is the angle I was going for. Just in a really toned down version, so his small brain could figure it out.
NOTHING is released perfectly without bugs.
- Moosehawk, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1I assume you were replying to newstart, as that is the angle I was going for. Just in a really toned down version, so his small brain could figure it out.
- newstart, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Moosehawk, everyone knows no software is without bugs. But that does not mean you stop testing software for bugs. In my view go and read a book on Software Quality Assurance. A level of "bug freeness" (i use this term so that your small brain can digest it) has to be achieved before releasing the product. There should not be a bug in the system which is a major one and undermines the important functions of the software in any way.
Also you seem to give preferences to products being released faster than products working properly. Dude Apple could have released the iPhone one year back I am sure. But then it would crash every 30 mins and calls would get dropped every min. or so. And your idea of people reporting bugs is absurd. To a level it holds true for minor bugs but a software company like Apple pays good money to software testers to make sure major bugs are out. And looking at the list I can see many major bugs in it.
- iChuckles, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Not an attack on you, but you demonstrate the ignorance most people have about computer software products. That is that you cannot find every bug. I don't think most people understand that.
- iChuckles, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Ha! I bet Apple already knows about all these bugs. I also bet that there are many many more. Plus there is always an unknown amount of bugs in all software.
- Waskonator, on 10/11/2007, -6/+34Some of these are a bit "Knit-picky", as it were. Most are a preference, rather than actual bugs. I'm not ALL for the iPhone, or all for bashing either. I don't own one, on purpose. Some things will be fixed in time, and I will make my new decision at that point. Some of you people need to realize that, even though it is a great idea iPod+phone, its not the Messiah of smartphones. I don't think it was ever supposed to be. It was just supposed to give the UI of a redesigned iPod and be tethered to a cell phone. Just like any other phone, it doesn't do everything. And if it doesn't do what you need it to do, get a different phone. And then buy the new iPod when they make it touch screen. Is that so hard to understand?
- streak, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Agreed, some personal preferences are expressed in the list. Example: I happen to like the fact that switching the ringer off silent mode doesn't create a beep. I prefer it this way, because I don't like unnecessary beeps polluting the environment, disturbing my conversation, or calling attention to the fact that I have an electronic device stashed in my pocket.
- devalagar, on 10/11/2007, -7/+0comment is not visible?.
- devalagar, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1lol
- adamchristopher, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2another one that is stupid:
Other Bug/Has Workaround Attempting to pause an MP3 launched from a web page such as DL.TV by clicking the iPhone stereo headset mic button once will result in a track from the iPod library starting. To reproduce, plug an iPhone stereo headset in to the headset jack -> tap the 'Safari' icon on the home screen -> tap the address bar -> enter the following URL in the top address textbox 'http://dl.tv' -> tap the 'Go' button in the lower right corner of the keyboard -> zoom in to the main content area -> select the 'MP3 (Audio Only) link that appears next to the latest episode. A QuickTime player will load and begin playing the MP3 file. Attempt to pause the audio playback by clicking the mic button once. Technically the MP3 stops but only to start playing a track from the iPod application. The expected result is to pause the currently playing media.
so my laptop has a bug because when i am playing something of the internet and push the play/pause button, it doesnt stop it?
- thushan, on 10/11/2007, -7/+6***** happens... oh, we're talking about bugs? they happen too...
- ladyreward, on 10/11/2007, -10/+4Bugs, might as well wait for the second revision of the apple iphone....
- consonance, on 10/11/2007, -10/+45"iPhone v1.0 Bugs"
Translation: "BREAKING: SOFTWARE HAS BUGS!!!!!"- potp, on 10/11/2007, -14/+6Now if this was about Microsoft then you would have been acting like a rabid dog going after bill gates neck. God i hate idiots like you.
- cloudyprison, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Ah, good old 'Breaking:'. It's the new cruise control to cool.
- kingfoot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5WHAT HAPPENED TO CAPS LOCK!?
- CIAVT, on 10/11/2007, -7/+4Seriously, why don't you work for Apple?
- CIAVT, on 10/11/2007, -13/+15Oh, on another note, thanks to the author for being upbeat about it, and submitting all his findings to Apple. That article could have easily turned into "68 REASONS TO BUY A TREO INSTEAD OF iPHONE!!1!1Shift+1!!!"
- streak, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2There's almost zero chance such an article would have been posted on digg, because it's nearly impossible to post on digg with a Treo. iPhone easy.Treo, Palm OS, Windows Mobile, huh-uh.
- prockcore, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4What are you talking about? Opera Mobile works just as well as Safari.
- newstart, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Are you using the new "comment out of context" feature?
- wageslaven, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Here I fixed it for you:
There's almost zero chance such an article would have appeared on digg, because it's nearly impossible to get an article on digg about a Treo, Palm OS, Windows Mobile or Blackberry. iPhone easy, huh-uh.

- sorahn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3if you slide between multiple weather widgets (so you see the left side of one, and the right side of the other) and hold it there, then touch with another finger, it will stay there. i tried it with other things that slide, and it seems only happen with weather
- Dash-2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Cool! But You have to touch in the black with the second finger. =D
- eclectro, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5ver 1.0 - my pappy said never buy a ZERO!
- austee007, on 10/11/2007, -5/+18All of the UI usability "bugs" are not bugs at all but just things the guy who wrote the list decided he really didn't like because it didn't seem consistent with the rest of the interface. If you take out all of those the list is quite diminished in size.
- streak, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4It would be nice to have personal control over interface behaviors.
- Dash-2, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1This is true, but that doesn't mean they're bugs.
- streak, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4It would be nice to have personal control over interface behaviors.

Oh, I am sorry - are we referring to bugs from Apple?- Mike89, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4Yeah, but a friend of my neighbours brother said Steve Jobs ACTUALLY STOLE THESE FROM MICROSOFT!!!!11one
- danswayuk, on 10/11/2007, -11/+1The biggest bug is no customized iphone ringtones built-in:
http://www.product-reviews.net/2007/07/13/video-shows-customized-iphone-ringtones-is-there-a-shred-of-truth-in-this/
That video shows how someone did it, but can it beconfirmed as possible unless the video is a fake.- adamrgolf, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1...boom
- sanarchy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I haven't had the chance yet, but this tutorial gives you a step-by-step guide on installing customized ringtones: http://www.hacktheiphone.com/iphone_ringtone_installation.html
- DaffyDuck, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6I think of it as more of a feature. It's called the "don't bug me with your crappy Beyonce ringtone" feature.
- Dash-2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yes, it is true.
I just tried it a few hours ago on my loner iPhone, it worked like a breeze! I'll post a video later.
(PS it's the Mario theme.)
- smurf22, on 10/11/2007, -10/+8The % sign not centered? Who gives a *****!
- ElliotShoe, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4if I bought a 600 dollar phone, I would want my % signs all centered
- Trapped, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Tell me about it. It's very lame. You have to be very anal for this to bother you... or to even notice it in the first place.
- rumblpak, on 10/11/2007, -20/+6Now I am typing this on a mac so don't take this the wrong way.
This is why i NEVER buy apple peripherals. Their mice suck, their keyboards suck, ipods suck, etc.
I don't need an iphone, and won't buy one especially being gen 1 (which automatically sucks).
That said, they make great computers and I hope they continue focus on what they are good at rather than ***** with an accessory market where everything they produce breaks within a year of owning it.- Username222, on 10/11/2007, -9/+3Oops. Automatic mistake. You apparently got dugg down for not supporting Apple in EVERY SINGLE way... This makes you the devil. I hope this sarcasm is easy to tell, because I am being sarcastic.
- DaffyDuck, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2They have problems with their 1st gen computers too. I have a 1st gen MacBook Pro and while I wouldn't trade it for anything except for a newer MBP, it has had it's share of issues. I expected this and that's why I bought the extended warranty.
- iChuckles, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4Yep, is it true. 100 million iPods suck!
- Ac1d, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2(Presuming that's sarcasm)
What does 100 million of them have to do with how good they are? Does that mean spam e-mails are good because there is a lot of them?- Dash-2, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1It is a good indicator. (and spam emails are good for the spammer)
- Ac1d, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2(Presuming that's sarcasm)
- MacParrot, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Meh...All software from almost anyone has bugs. While not all these can actually be considered legitimate software defects, I'm sure Apple will fix these and other defects in a future update. I won't necessarily know since I didn't by one (I never buy first gen products from Apple or anyone)
- iChuckles, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Almost? Almost! No, ALL software is riddled with bugs.
- undersky, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19One more:
While listening to iPod in the background when browsing webpage, some webpages will cause the iPod to crash.
For example, if you double-tap to zoom into the central part of digg.com home page, the iPod will play the music fine.
If you however double-tap to zoom into the Top Ten list part of digg.com (the right 1/4 of the page), the iPod will crash. This happens every time and not isolated to digg.com, but various different webpages that contain more complex code.- ih8apple, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Im glad to see that this is happening to other people as well (Well, not glad...) Because i thought it was something wrong with just mine.
- LeeSoong, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2That sounds like Safari choking to death on a script...
- nycmikewp, on 10/11/2007, -5/+5Great list. Excellent work!
- R0CKY, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19There are not 68 bugs on that page.
"While we interpret the following items as bugs, it is possible that the results are in line with the Apple iPhone User Interface design specifications." - SupaFupa, on 10/11/2007, -14/+5Buried as inaccurate. All of apples products "Just Work".
- gotahell, on 10/11/2007, -16/+2Let me guess, it's George Bush's fault. You liberals blame him for everything else.
- SlantyEyes, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3You're Dumb.
- potp, on 10/11/2007, -12/+5wow. so many apologist in this topic.
- MacParrot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9As compared to what? Blindly slamming Apple without knowing or using their products like you do? I rarely comment on Linux and Microsoft topics. Know why? I don't use them at home (though I am chained to an XP machine at work) and therefore don't spew hatred based on products I don't prefer.
I don't have a problem with people giving Apple a hard time based on real issues. But many here on digg just slam the company because they don't use their products and must be crap by association. Or the "I'm an anti-fanboy fanboy" nonsense. Check the game console posts. Filled with PS3 vs Wii vs Xbox users who hate everyone that doesn't use what they prefer and are quite vocal about real and imagined flaws in competing products.
After one of my recent posts on a Mac topic, someone came back with "Yeah, but you're just an Apple fanboy because all you digg are Mac posts." Gee, I use Apple products, I'm interested in Apple news, and I digg a lot of Apple posts. I wonder why I only seem to digg Mac and Apple posts? It is a mystery. On the same token, I don't go into MS and Linux posts slamming those platforms. You're welcome to go into ANY thread I've commented on and you'll see that I don't. I don't use them and don't typically comment on those companies in a negative light.
- yingjai, on 10/11/2007, -13/+7Ok guys. Enough with the iPhone posts. The phone came out already. Are we going to hear about the iPhone everyday until the day it gets phased out?
- Username222, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7It really depends on how long until Apple releases the next thing for the Apple fanboys to drool over...
- timusca, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9Holy *****, people... nobody asked you to RTFA. If it says iPhone, ignore it. Its easy.
- taintedzodiac, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Oh, an Apple product's lifecycle doesn't constrain its diggability.
Haven't you noticed that we still get posts about the Newton more often than you'd expect? - RyanWilliams, on 10/11/2007, -8/+6I love how the article presents its bugs in a concise, objective and mature manner; indeed, the article says right up at the top that the software is extremely solid and that these are obscure bugs unlikely to be encountered in average use. Yet, the Apple fanboys still come along screaming in its defense. It is in fact completely comical.
The ironic part is that the company the fanboys are desperately defending is probably happy to see this list; it allows them to easily identify and iron out a whole load of bugs, thus polishing their device significantly.
You Apple fans. Half of you are fine, but the other half? Urrrrk.- hotdamn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I'm an apple fanboy and I dugg & loved the list.
I guess I'd just like the products improving.
- hotdamn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I'm an apple fanboy and I dugg & loved the list.
- brihar73, on 10/11/2007, -10/+2$99 for Windows with hundreds of bugs. $499 for a phone with bugs. Companies are selling products that don't work and the results are that they become rich while consumers get frustrated. How is this legal? How much longer are people going to take this? Anyone who takes pride in what they do will make sure their product works 100%! No excuses. That's what people pay their hard-earned money for, not bugs. Oh, and I've got some swamp land for sale if anyone's interested.
- moisie, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2What a stupid argument. The price of a product doesn't have a direct relation as to how many bugs it should or shouldn't have - especially when comparing totally different things. The iPhone cost isn't even just software, there is hardware to factor in which windows doesn't come with.
- brihar73, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No ***** about the prices. The point was that your hard-earned money should be worth something to you.
- DummyO, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Why we all sell code with bugs: http://technology.guardian.co.uk/weekly/story/0,,1781895,00.html
- themagnum, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Terrible argument, if you honestly don't think a new product/technology is going to have bugs, your dreaming. Also, it is impossible to assure someone's product is going to be turing-complete.
- brihar73, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Thank you for your definition of laziness. I guess some people don't mind wasting money. Yes, it would cost a company more to make their products error-free. However, you will have earned the customers' trust, which would bring in more dollars later. A company is doomed if all they care about is instant gratification. Show me a company that cares about their products and that's what I will always buy.
- iChuckles, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Thanks for demonstrating your ignorance to all of us. It is impossible to have no bugs in any software.
- brihar73, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1[See above reply.]
- streak, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2@brihar73, you seem to be the one who is frustrated here.
- GhengisKhan, on 10/11/2007, -8/+3"All 68 are reproducible by every iPhone owner!"
"Each bug has been tested on two iPhones"
Hmm... N=2=300,000+ The author's math doesn't add up.- Dash-2, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Haha, nice one!
- DD00, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5The only bug that really bugs me is when you pick all your albums under one artists. Then you choose to play the songs with shuffle, it will pick one song to start with and only shuffle the album it is on. It won't shuffle all albums. That is a real problem, screw all the buttons in the wrong place!
- jgustie, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2They missed one: VIEWING THIS PAGE... three flippin tries on the iPhone and Safari crashed each time, I gave up and read the article from my PC
- streak, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3No problem here.
- nextsteposx, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Yahoo mail is full of bugs... or the iPhone.
Share (email) a YouTube video with someone. Yahoo does not send the email and locks your email up for day or more. Same as with sharing a webite from safari by emailing it.
I have made new Yahoo accounts, even exchanged to a new iPhone. Still the same issue.
Also tried it with Gmail, but with Gmail it simply CC to your inbox the exact email you just sent (youtube/safari link). CC my email option beig turned and never even set.
I really hoping and update comes soon. - Micoderre, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I experienced some Maps and Safari instability during the first couple of days of use, but a restore and restart has had it operating fine ever since. In fact, I have yet to experience another crash.
Beyond that, I'm pretty much in-line with the general comment section opinion here -- while many of the 'bugs' reported by this site are either preferential or absurdly minor things, I also wouldn't mind a 1.1 update to smooth out some of the rough edges.
Still, it's been a little over two weeks and I'm still in love with this dang thing. Now if they'd only release a Bluetooth GPS accessory... - pr5owner, on 10/11/2007, -7/+3i wonder where all the people that said OSX is invinicble went?
OSX isnt that stable, even on desktop versions.
WM isnt bug proof, but its no where near as bad as the OSX on the iphone
any software has bugs, apple fan boys need to stop preaching about the iphone as the best device out there becuase its not.- iChuckles, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3You are too funny. OS X isn't that stable? WM is not nearly as bad as OS X on the iPhone? It is not the best device out there? These are all your opinions and nowhere near any facts.
- eddieroger, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1OS X is different from the apps living on top of it. Safari having a bug is not OS X having a bug.
- Username222, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yes, because, after all, why does an operating system have to be responsible for software bundled with it?
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3Don't worry, these will all be fixed by the time the iPhone Nano is out, only $500 coming Q2 of 2008! People are already lining up!
- anakin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4He missed one. If you're using a GMail partnered account (GMail hosting for your domain) when the account is synced over your login is changed from user@foo.com to user@foo.com@gmail.com It's an automatic change that can not be edited and prevents syncing of email.
- ttkgeek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Yeah, and the iPhone picks up sent mail in your inbox for some reason. Not Apple's fault though. It happens on my PC as well.
- jinushaun, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out whether that's a bug, a feature, or a bug on Google's end.

- tcquad, on 10/11/2007, -1/+24"Web pages do not remain loaded after powering off the iPhone."
Also reproducible on my iMac. - jthomp, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11I don't call most of these bugs.
For instance: "The phone vibrates when switched to silent mode (the Ring/Silent switch is located on the side of the iPhone), but does not provide audible feedback when exiting silent mode. The expected result would be a short notification beep when switching to an audible mode."
That's ridiculous. That's not a bug. That's what someone "expected" to happen but didn't. Personally, I don't want it to beep when I switch it back. Its easy to tell the phone is back in normal mode. I've experienced little odd things about my iPhone but none of them have been so bad that I'd call them bugs. Their just little annoyances that will most likely be fixed in the next firmware update.- jinushaun, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Regarding vibrate mode, a more important UI *flaw* is the fact that there is no indication that you're IN vibrator mode besides the initial vibration. All other phones on the market have an icon somewhere when you're in vibrate mode.
- Ishtumba, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9I have to say.. for a brand new framework, I think having only 68 "bugs" is remarkable. I could easily name more than 68 bugs that have been in Windows Mobiles for a decade.
- munchbach, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14#69: It breaks when you hit it whit a sledge hammer. Worst design ever...

- totorototoro, on 10/11/2007, -0/+141) I'm glad they stuck with "reproducible" issues only...to minimize the "mine doesn't do that" outcries
2) My bug list is much shorter but more serious:
a) Safari crashes. A lot. I've even done a complete Restore and it still crashes.
b) iPod music crashes when you browse Safari. A lot. The music doesn't just stop-the actual app crashes out completely.
c) Did I mention Safari crashes? :p
On a more positive note...its the best iPod I've ever owned. (Don't ask how many I own :( ) I find it difficult to go back to the old scroll wheel navigation now.
edit: oh, one thing they mentioned..about the music pausing when the headphones are disconnected...this is a valuable feature, not a bug...uh, IMHO of course :p Because the speaker is pretty loud, and I don't want my music blaring out of them if I accidentally pull out the headphone jack. - poly915, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6How about a general design flaw list that starts with "No To-Do List"?
- SirZRX, on 10/11/2007, -5/+3i though apple products were perfect
- hotdamn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4congratulations. you are so goddamn witty.
- l0rdn1k0n, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1you spelled "thought" wrong you ignorant *****.
- Iluminatus, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0Sorry...but this is bull! Most of the bug description start with: "Under some circumstances" bla bla bla. Or some examples like if you open safari, go to a webpage then switch off your phone and open it again it will not show that webpage. How in the world would go on a website and then turn off they phone. I mean, do you type www.digg.com and then shutdown your pc?!? Jeeez. Most of the bugs are irelevant.
Of course, there are some which suck HOWEVER my smartphone with windows mobile 5.0 sometimes crashes or acts strangely or even my Palm with it PalmOS sometimes resets itself when entering a program or something..or browsing the net it sometime block. Come on...it's a piece of software, it is normal to have bugs. Stop complaining. It IS a good phone. - pevensen, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6What?!?! A 1.0 product has bugs!??!?
- l0rdn1k0n, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Thank God, somebody finally said it. +1 :)
- wildsnake, on 10/11/2007, -0/+32.0, 3.0 will have bugs too.
- stevebor1, on 10/11/2007, -4/+6Apple. Bugs. Say.It.Aint.So
Fanboys, please defend your bugs.- jayhawk88, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1First, show us bug free software.
- TigerWalk, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1another freaking iPhone stuff on digg's front page?? wtf!
- UCFartstudntJON, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5If I've learned anything from anything computer related it is that first generation stuff is really nothing more than the public beta. Thanks to all of you who gave up your cash early so that others might gain bug-free electronics.
- l0rdn1k0n, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2You're welcome. I'm just glad I have a warranty that covers accidents, so I can "accidentally" break the 1st gen and get the new one before Christmas ^_^
- idc5, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1bug #69 another hyped up apple product, sorry apple fanboys
- kiddailey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1A good start, but this list is definitely a bit short. They missed these:
* When clicking URLs in Mail that contain an anchor tag (#), the pound symbol becomes URLencoded in the browser address bar and results in the anchor not working.
* When viewing mailbox contents from a POP account, occassionally a message similar to "2,512,323,123 Messages Remain, Load 25 More Messages..." is displayed.
* When viewing empty mailboxes, occasionally "Load 25 More Messages..." is displayed even though there are no more unread/downloaded messages. Clicking the link does nothing.
It's a great phone regardless :) -
