- oneeyebri, on 07/10/2008, -4/+22So far my top 5 I have to try.
1. Pandora - nice UI for a mobile Pandora which i love
2. Birdy - Slick app for the golfer in me (even calculates distances to the hole)
3. Stage Hand - Control Keynote on the computer and even lets you highlight the screen with a finger point on the phone
4. Omni Focus - Killer GTD app
5. Shazam - You hold the phone to a speaker and let it listen to a song. It will identify the song and tag it. It seams that it will also link to itunes for purchase. I am little skeptical if it functions well though. - kevbryant, on 07/10/2008, -0/+12so filter apple stories and shut up

- khuongsta, on 07/10/2008, -1/+10uh... yes it is.
http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/content.in ... - sleepwalkers, on 07/10/2008, -0/+8It technically hasn't been released, but it is up for download from Apple's servers (for iPhone only).
I'm using it right now, it works fine. App Store.app is activated, you can get to the iTunes App Store and purchasing apps works flawlessly. - Firehed, on 07/10/2008, -0/+7Doubt it, but nobody is making you click the stories. So stop trolling.
- OrderedChaos, on 07/10/2008, -0/+6He said the firmware wasn't on itunes yet, and it isn't.
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -0/+6hmmm, maybe because the site shows current event that are important to the digg users.
its turns out that apple has a lot of stuff going on this week that is important to digg users. - McSwankypants, on 07/10/2008, -0/+6While I tend to agree with you (Engadget could change it's name as well), Digg was nice enough to add this feature:
My Profile > Settings > Customize Topics > tick the APPLE checkbox...no more iPhone news (unless it was submitted into the wrong category).
Still, fact of the matter is this, people give a ***** about the iPhone (hell, I'm reading about it and I have no real desire to get one) and are going to digg stories about it. - xsecretfiles, on 07/10/2008, -4/+92.0 firmware is NOT out Yet on iTUNES!!!!!!!!!!
The app store is - inactive, on 07/10/2008, -1/+6Downloading 2.0 now. App store, here I come!
- MisterKen, on 07/10/2008, -0/+5What is this 'iPhone' you kids keep talking about?
- Hitchhiker90, on 07/10/2008, -2/+6Do they think we are that dumb that we need a walkthrough?
- yokozuka, on 07/10/2008, -1/+5It really works well. So simple. Uploading more videos and impressions now. Drop me any lines if you want me to focus on anything.
- gametavern, on 07/10/2008, -2/+6not related, but that video has got a good frame rate. Maybe I've just been watching too many crap youtube vids.
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -0/+3Worst walkthrough ever. More like a "Look, it works."
- jptolife, on 07/10/2008, -0/+3It is safe to get the 2.0 that's going around, I did and the app store is working perfectly and all the apps I downloaded work as well. I didn't know you could use edge to get apps but you can. I'm loving this!
- bitspace, on 07/10/2008, -0/+3It's not out, officially, and certainly not through iTunes. However, it is available by other means (several posts here with the URL) and from my testing so far, works flawlessly.

WHERE
Where To? - RadicalEdward, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2It's out by direct download buddy.
- AvidPreatorian, on 07/10/2008, -6/+82.0 not out just yet so more patience is necessary. either way, this is freakin sweet.
- yokozuka, on 07/10/2008, -1/+3For those asking, yes, the walkthrough videos show the App Store running on an iPhone "classic" with iPhone OS 2.0 software (I got the full iPhone OS 2.0 on friday last week.)
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2Apparently the 2.0 software that is out now does not work on the iPods, which I am trying now. Sadly I think I may have to re-put all of my music onto my iPod.
- sleepwalkers, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2I thought I saw Birdy and it was like, $50 or something ridiculous like that. Also, for #5, midomi does that as well as you singing/humming, or typing out a song. And it's free.
- Firehed, on 07/10/2008, -0/+2The Pandora client rocks. I assume they've rigged up something with the built-in Buy From iTunes link (which works with the music store on the iPhone) so they get a small cut, as there are no ads nor are there any subscription fees that I've encountered.
- hijinksensue, on 07/11/2008, -0/+1After upgrading to firmware 2.0 I decided to keep my iPhone 1G. Its like a new phone!
http://hijinksensue.com/2008/07/11/omfggg/ - sDow, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1Can you list the Applications under the "Navigation" category?
- jpop, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1I'd say they're doing it more for the people that don't have an iPhone yet and want to see what the screens look like in the app area...
- VitaminH, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1As a pharmacist, Epocrates RX has me all hot and bothered...
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -3/+42.0 is out. And that's App Store running on iPhone 2.0.
- bitspace, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1I suppose it's an older build than the one that's out there now, then? The info I have seen indicates that the build that's been propagating today is newer than the one that's been around for a few days.
- sDow, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1One of the videos shows him scrolling through the list of Application Categories and "Navigation" is on there with 13 apps.
Any chance that someone can post a list of what's under that category?
Thanks! - billbugger, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1Screen Capture. Don't want to spam the same comment

- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1No, but when the walkthrough was published (at 5AM this morning), NOBODY had the store working on the iPhone. That was teh case for HOURS, until the iPhone OS 2.0 was leaked. This was the only way to see the App Store running on an iPhone.
- stupidgenius, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1So the best thing they have to say about it is that "it works." Good job apple, you sold a product that works... lets move on to being realistically priced. Soon we may enter the realm of everyday usefullness!
- BrendanSheehan, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1Birdy is spelled "Birdie"

waiting for stable release now for all of iPhone users ;) - aloyeo, on 07/10/2008, -3/+1no
- MacTyler, on 07/10/2008, -7/+2Firmware 2.0 has been LEAKED out here
http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/10/iphone-firmware ... - MorphicMusic, on 07/10/2008, -11/+6Lets change the site from DIGG to Apple! That's how I feel lately man.
- polumrak, on 07/10/2008, -8/+2They can go to hell with their App Store. I don't know who they hired to do Russian localization of their iTunes Store, but that's a real torture. People who never spoke Russian could do better. I can stand high prices, 6 months gap and I can't live without an iPhone or Time Capsule, but I won't stand for such treatment of my language. Apple can rot in hell.
- FredFredrickson, on 07/10/2008, -12/+3Do we really need a video walk-through for something so simple...? How much does Apple pay these guys to put this ***** up and act like it's news?
Gizmodo is such a ***** Apple shill. - lickmyback, on 07/10/2008, -14/+5Am I the only one getting sick of hearing about Apple?
