- CyberKiL, on 07/08/2008, -0/+18An act of aggression against Apple? Wasn't very neutral of them
- drywaller79, on 07/09/2008, -3/+21It's a phone..
- inactive, on 07/09/2008, -1/+13no matter what the swiss do.. you just CAN'T get mad at them. they're so adorable!
- Jenadae, on 07/09/2008, -4/+14God you apple fan boys are of the most obnoxious breed
- inactive, on 07/09/2008, -2/+9Seriously? This is front page news on digg? Horrible.
- Mexrocker, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4OK, I have an Mac and a few iPods and I think the iPhone is a great phone but seriously guys.... is this really THAT big? A store display?
- homercles337, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4There is no stopping the Church of Apple. Its a well oiled advertising machine that greases its wheels with the calloused fingers of poor misguided macophiles.
- JasonCox, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4Dugg if only because the week of an Apple product launch means Digg becomes useless; much like April 1st.
- JustEaton, on 07/08/2008, -0/+4The screws are probably there so Geniuses can replace dead batteries without having to give you a brand new phone, like they previous did with the 2.5G iPhones. I doubt it's for consumer replacements.
- lumbergh, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4I'm an "Apple fanboy" and even this is getting ridiculous.
Would you folks upvote an article that I'm going to submit called "POOP DISCOVERED TO BE SHAPED LIKE IPHONE 3G!" - fas2, on 07/09/2008, -0/+3Thank you =)
- GeorgeStone2, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2Dugg for truely hillarious spam..
- xsecretfiles, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2haha aren't those things easy to steal?
I remember my at&t stores had to pull the demo out because they kept getting stolen - LuckyKarma, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2"is this really THAT big?"
I had the same question, but about the physical size of the phone.. the thing looks huge in those pics. - DiddyWolf, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1But instore replaceable is not too far off from at home replaceable. As long as your up for voiding your warranty.
- Sherman901, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1you tool.
- cortjezter, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1ditto. even for those like me not so interested in iphone itself, there has to be more relevant stories about it somewhere.
maybe if someone had left a note on the screen like O RLY?.... - aserer511, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1are WM6 device makers/rim still making camera-less devices? don't some corporations require those?
- ISurfTooMuch, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Take their base individual plans and add $30 more for unlimited data but no messaging. Those are the iPhone plans.
- RetepNamenots, on 07/09/2008, -1/+2Cut the cord and run.
- bananaspiders, on 07/09/2008, -2/+3If you were to substitute "iPhone 3G" for "Jesus Christ" in Digg... it would make much more sense to see all these articles.
"Jesus Christ shows up on Swiss store display"
"The coolest Jesus Christ timeline you will see today"
"Jesus Christ line camping begins...now"
"Jesus Christ definitive guide: how to score one this Friday" - kkiran, on 07/08/2008, -2/+2Why don't someone unscrew the screws holding the battery to dump the 'replaceable battery' mystery!
- DanBoodro, on 07/09/2008, -1/+1No no no..."It's a widescreen iPod, a revolutionary internet communications device, and a mobile phone"
- macmangb, on 07/09/2008, -2/+2Sweet!
- JWin, on 07/09/2008, -5/+5unbelievable hype over a phone
- LeRenard, on 07/09/2008, -1/+1Does anyone have a link or something that explains what the AT&T plans for the iPhone look like? I"ve been poking around their site and can't find anything except a "PDA" data plan page.
- GIScope, on 07/09/2008, -1/+1Apple is having such a huge success with their first phone! Was that hard for other phone manufacturers to figure out the right formula?!! People want elegance, simplicity and sophistication all in the same unit.. was it that hard for Sony Ericson which I used to be a fan of, to figure that out?? After all their business is making phones not computers/software/ipods. The thing is that it doesn't even have to be cheap! Now AT&T is stepping down and making the phone "accessible" to the large public.
- Pixelante, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0They're also good shots, so it pays not to get mad at them.
- freebird09, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0Judging by the giant white thing pasted to its back, I'm guessing no.
- freebird09, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0Is it me or does the back seem to bulge out in a sort of semi-arc?
- EverTheCynic, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0I might have to unsubscribe from my Engadget RSS feed since the digg community is so damned determined to submit every Engadget post. The deja vu is killing me.
- inactive, on 07/09/2008, -1/+1An actual telelphone? For reals? My heart is all a twitter. Next...a radio.
- rohmann, on 07/09/2008, -1/+0It's not like they're any good at creating devices to keep time...
- Karmavs, on 07/09/2008, -2/+1No you didn’t.
- Ivand, on 07/09/2008, -4/+3im sorry to hijack but i need to place this as close to the top as i can
a store display? really? an exclamation sign? REALLY? i mean, seriously guys? its a phone, which we all have already seen before. - maakuu, on 07/08/2008, -2/+0Jip, i thought so.
- GeorgeStone2, on 07/09/2008, -3/+1I don't think i've ever actually tried swiss cheese.
I just put it down on my iphones shopping list app. I guess it's something you have to try once. - ELLIS1128, on 07/09/2008, -5/+2My ex-cleaner can send me one!
