First up, they called to let us know they did in fact delay the launch of their iPhone SIM unlock software (which was clear by the fact that no one has it yet) -- but it's now due Monday, and they've promised us iPhone SIM unlocks for five lucky readers."

  • FvKdUp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7The main reason iphonesimfree is selling in bulk is because once they release their software it's just a matter of time before hackers bypass the licensing and offer free unlocking. The resellers are going to be stuck with extra licenses, and iphonesimfree banked on resellers buying loads of those things. That and it's definitely better from a legal stand point. i still cant wait

  • Radan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Obviously I haven't tried this method, but when I unlocked my iPhone with the SuperSim method, both the Voicemail, Edge (though that's probably because Edge isn't available in Sweden) and the YouTube app for some reason stopped working. Also, it doesn't work with the latest iTunes whatsoever (really, it kills hacked iPhones). Though, I hope that this method will work better than the Supersim method, but even then, it will always be a bit messy to use a hacked iPhone in one way or another.

  • HappyScrappy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2No. 7.4 only causes problems with the jailbreaking process. You can hack your phone and unjailbreak it and it'll continue to work fine with iTunes. Although the situation is fluid, it may get worse soon if Apple takes more measures.

  • meatmcguffin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2What would be the point? It doesn't unlock anything. You need authorisation from the server before an unlock happens so you might as well ask for a copy of the full app : neither will work.
