- oneshare325, on 10/23/2007, -2/+3I am looking for an App that I can use on a 1.1.1 att phone, and can restore it back to virgin state very easily! Is this it? Will the restore in iTunes "virginize" the phone like the restore did with 1.0.2 and Installer.app?
- nsheikh80, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1What you are looking for can be found here: http://www.iphoneatlas.com/2007/10/23/iphones-unlo ...
- oneshare325, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1Thanks for the reply, but I think I didn't explain it right. I have an AT&T account, never unlocked it, I just want a way to "jailbreak" 1.1.1 install 3rd party apps, and if i want/need to get rid of them with NO effects and returning the phone back to a out of box state (so apple would never know I hacked it!) Does the itunes restore undo EVERYTHING iFuntastic does?
- spookyttws, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1Perhaps this?

- Kabrabnzada, on 10/23/2007, -3/+6Can someone tell me if this works for the ipod touch as well?
- ConfusedONE, on 10/23/2007, -4/+13Why would you need Ringtones for your ipod Touch?
- Civil, on 10/23/2007, -0/+6I think he's more interested in being able to install all the custom apps on his touch.

- calgone, on 10/23/2007, -7/+6Now they just need to improve the UI...it's great it automates things for you but god is it ugly. There should be a law for maximum number of scroll bars allowed in an app!
- arctic, on 10/23/2007, -1/+6be happy you don't have command line...
- cmer, on 10/23/2007, -1/+2you first!
- websyndicate, on 10/23/2007, -5/+1Just pay for it iToner is very easy to use. No hacking is required. Agains this is a MAC ONLY app
- Firehed, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2Or if you're a cheap bugger like me, just drop all your ringtones on during the trial period.
- seraph582, on 10/24/2007, -3/+5cool. Where's the PC version?
- nsheikh80, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2Here: http://code.google.com/p/idemocracy/
- seraph582, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Thanks mang!
- thesportoflife, on 10/23/2007, -3/+2this app is horrid. it installs a bunch of wack ***** which makes you just have to restore and the jailbreak process is the same as ijailbreaks and touchfree. the dev calls it "freeware" to when you only have a certain amount of uses of it before you have to buy a license for an app which barely works...
- Firehed, on 10/23/2007, -0/+4You just defined shareware, not freeware. As the name suggest, freeware is free. I don't really know how the concept of shareware got its name, as it really tends to be "trialware".
- drlha, on 10/23/2007, -0/+3Comes from the age before the internet when people would share software on floppies amongst one another. You "share" it with your friends, and if they like it, they pay. This was at the time the only alternative to walking into a store and buying software without trying it first.

- maxim303, on 10/24/2007, -1/+5this worked for me on the 2nd try (second, because itunes crashed during the first go). there were a few scary moments, but after about 20 minutes, i had a perfectly usable 1.1.1 (with AT&T) along with 3rd party apps. pretty happy here :)
- perandre, on 10/23/2007, -3/+2Looks nice & free! It doesn't do anything about the at&t part, though.
- kelly, on 10/23/2007, -8/+3iFuntastic will quickly and easily jailbreak iPhone.
It will also (quickly and easily) brick the iphone - mrman5917, on 10/24/2007, -3/+9Try extortion ware. I had tried to get my 1.1.1 phone "jailbroken" to see if it would be easier doing it through this one app then doing it the manual way. After 5 failed attempts, the program essentially begged for money from me through a manual process of putting money into a paypal account, then hitting a button which would email the developer to send me a code.
- Sethwm2, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I am wondering myself if it is safe to send these people the money they want so that I can unlock my 1.1.1 iPhone. I mean, I am on a different computer now because the free attempts all failed. What should make me think that the version you pay for is going to work any better...
- EvilJelloMan, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1Dugg - this is a scam thru and thru. The program is ***** and only works half the time, and when it fails and screws up your phone, you better hope you haven't used up your 5 attempts. Use iNdependence instead, which is open source and won't extort you for money when it breaks your phone.
- gillilandboy, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1Does this work with the touch? I know its about ring tones but it looks like it can do other stuff .
- ascheinberg, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2If I have a patched 1.0.2, do I need to restore to the vanilla version before upgrading.
- TechBharat, on 10/24/2007, -3/+2first REVIRGINIZER TOOL for the iPhone is now released by the iPhone Elite !

- sicilian890, on 10/24/2007, -5/+4This app worked perfectly for me. Not to mention I was totally stoned.
- MastaB, on 10/24/2007, -1/+4*****. I tried this, and it ***** up 4 times, so now it wants me to pay to try again. I'm stuck in 1.0.2 and now when I try to do a legit upgrade it'll give me errors hand my phone in recovery mode.
- MastaB, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2seriously, please someone help me I'm *****. I got it to restore, and now my phone's not activated and it won't activate or even get recognized by iTunes. I don't know what to do...I had legit AT&T and was just trying to get installer.app back. ***** I need my Phone!!!!!!
- EvilJelloMan, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2You can try downloading the older version of ifuntastic and using that to fix your phone. Alternatively, you can try to use iNdependence to start the process from scratch.

- ggore, on 10/23/2007, -5/+3I suppose this hack uses the same security flaw the other illegal programs do. This flaw will probably be patched in some future update, and then the people who use this illegal hack will bitch & moan again that their UNAUTHORIZED software won't work. They'll bitch that is isn't their fault, it's not their responsibility, etc etc blah blah blah. And the other 90% of us that use our iPhone normally will just go on our merry way. Oh and we'll be laughing our heads off at the bitchers/moaners. Enjoy!
- bigwillystyle, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1i messed up with the ringtones now it wants me to purchase some extra program. Not to happy about that.
- wm666, on 10/23/2007, -2/+1It does not all free anymore....
- wm666, on 10/23/2007, -0/+4There are iNdependence and SendSong out there. no need to use this shareware.
You can only use critical features for 5 times. Why use it? - Phisolo, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Worked Well for Me.
- phinn, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1I prey that iBrickr does this next, as I don't own a mac.
- ec92009, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1It's time!
- dms1, on 10/24/2007, -0/+0waste of time!
- ec92009, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1I beg to differ. After trying many, many ways to upgrade my iPhone from 1.0.2 with apptapp to 1.1.1, I must say this worked for me, at the 2nd attempt.
In my first attempt, I started with a 1.0.2 with installer already on, and a lot of applications in place. Although the upgrade to 1.1.1 worked fine, I ended up with a situation where some of the apps I still had on the phone were 1.0.2 specific, and refused to uninstall.
My successfull attempt went as follows:
1/ use iTunes to do a restore to 1.1.1
2/ use iFuntastic to jailbreak it. You get a fresh 1.0.2, then a jailbroken 1.0.2, then a jailbroken 1.1.1 with installer.
3/ reinstall whatever applications you like, in their 1.1.1 flavor.
It takes quite a while, and a bunch of - automatic - reboots, but the result is worth it.
PS. I love my iPhone! - mydave, on 07/28/2008, -0/+0You may remember the guide they published a while back which outlined how to jailbreak a v1.1.1 iPhone.
