- sishgupta, on 10/11/2007, -18/+7I don't think Pogue's nose is far enough up Job's ass.
I know I'll get dugg down but this guy annoys me to no end.- darkyoshi, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3You're more annoying.
- ToadLeg, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4wow this would be really cool IN THE VIDEO SECTION
- darkyoshi, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3You're more annoying.

- fanboydcs, on 10/11/2007, -3/+67That was amazing..
- tetfsu, on 10/11/2007, -15/+5If you mean my ears are bleeding by "amazing" then sure... that was amazing.
...crickets chirping... - DeathJux, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9I didn't click on it for a while, as it was yet another iPhone submission, but holy ***** that was incredible! Very very well done!
- GliTCH82, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I actually buried this, then came back to it later, and kinda wished I hadn't. But please, lay off the iPhone submissions from now on unless they're gonna be this good. :-)
- Aggaman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18Hilarious. Especially the random people they got to sing.
- fowleryo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10I thought that was the best part. Surprisingly, they sang pretty well...
- tetfsu, on 10/11/2007, -15/+5If you mean my ears are bleeding by "amazing" then sure... that was amazing.
- jakesonaplane, on 10/11/2007, -4/+82Ohhh jeez. If anything iPhone-related deserves to make homepage in the coming weeks, this is it...

- crawf061, on 10/11/2007, -14/+3Good use of the video section.... this is why there is no need for a picture section on digg.
- aaronm67, on 10/11/2007, -6/+7...how so?
This is a video. It's in the video section.
If it were a picture, it would make sense to put it in the picture section.- steven401, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9It's under News » Technology » Apple at the moment, nothing about videos there.
- aaronm67, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Oops, I feel stupid. You're right.
- steven401, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9It's under News » Technology » Apple at the moment, nothing about videos there.
- aaronm67, on 10/11/2007, -6/+7...how so?
- frieddonuts, on 10/11/2007, -1/+47Hmm, Pogue can hold a note. Who knew?
- Mediaright, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12Pogue actually got his start as a broadway accompanist. He even used to be the go-to-guy in New York for composers and singers who wanted to get their sheet music computerized.
- Ireland, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Here.. this video clip is over 20 minuted long, but you get the gist from the first few minutes: http://blog.wildform.com/2007/06/david_pogue_sings_about_tech_s.html
- cgomez, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That video is awesome. Around the 20 minute mark, he does a speech recognition demonstration.
Pogue: And if somebody sends me hatemail, which I get daily; I say "piss off"
Translates to: "I admire your frankness and would like you to know that I fully respect your opinion. On this matter, however, I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree. Thank you for reading-and for writing."
Awesome.
- cgomez, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That video is awesome. Around the 20 minute mark, he does a speech recognition demonstration.
- Jwzupancic, on 10/11/2007, -2/+60David. Pogue. Is. Awesome.

- Alegoo92, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23I love David Pogue so much.
- Daniel591992, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2If you love him so much, why don't you marry him?
- SPECOPS, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5The same reason you don't marry your brother/sister but (hopefully) love him/her so much.
- MadOtaku, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Because it's illegal?
*bud-dum tish*
Thanks, I'll be here all week.
- MadOtaku, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Because it's illegal?
- sneakerelph, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5cause he's already married?
- SPECOPS, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5The same reason you don't marry your brother/sister but (hopefully) love him/her so much.

- smurf22, on 10/11/2007, -2/+49Finally something on digg about the iphone that didnt piss me off.
- jesushchrist, on 10/11/2007, -25/+1Jesus, that's embarassing. What a fag.
- DeezKnots, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6It's sarcastic, funny, and true. He would be a fag if the song was, "I want a ***** phone". Maybe you're in denial and would like a ***** phone or maybe a ballsack headset. Don't hate the phone. Because it is just a phone...ipod, browser,... etc, etc, etc, etc!
- MoeB, on 10/11/2007, -0/+89I loved the AT&T part.
- alex.will, on 10/11/2007, -2/+43Apple is sure getting its money's worth out of that free iPhone...
- dbhaley, on 10/11/2007, -12/+5Why isn't this in the videos section? Did Steve Jobs buy Digg?
- DeezKnots, on 10/11/2007, -7/+1Because we know ***** who don't like threads in the wrong places post to them and Sure,.. Steve Jobs did buy digg.
- cgruber, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6It needs to be in the Awesome section.
- darkyoshi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Just not in the AMAZING section, it would be to hard to find.
- cgruber, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6It needs to be in the Awesome section.
- DeezKnots, on 10/11/2007, -7/+1Because we know ***** who don't like threads in the wrong places post to them and Sure,.. Steve Jobs did buy digg.
- SantaClauz, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10The first iPhone related article I can stand. This is the ONLY iPhone thing that should make the front page for the next few weeks.
- cleverboy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Yes, well... glad you don't make the rules here, everyone does...
- Mikecol, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I bet you'd digg the hell out of some bad news concerning the iPhone.
- russh, on 10/11/2007, -1/+53For those who don't know, before becoming a "tech guy", David spent about ten years working the orchestra pit and as an arranger for Broadway musicals.
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Pogue - Sarawanan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20David Pogue has done some great entertaining, yet informative videos. Congrats to him!
- scabbers, on 10/11/2007, -21/+4Can someone "mash-up" this video with stills of dead Iraqi children?
Yeah I just took a piss in your cornflakes.- Miche1987, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Go kill yourself.
- scabbers, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1You're the American, why don't you do it for me, *****?
- Miche1987, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Go kill yourself.
- Magiclad, on 10/11/2007, -2/+18This vid filled me with joy. And joyness.
- kiltederic1, on 10/11/2007, -5/+0 iJoy.....sorry devil made me do it.
- ayanamisama, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8That was fun. Good job, Pogue!
- ECas123, on 10/11/2007, -10/+8http://digg.com/videos
- jvq1958, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12Two great videos on the one day. This one - great fun, and the CNET "comparison" real life versus advertising.
Apple has kicked the hugest of goals with this one. iPods (and Intel) breathed new air into the Macintosh. This will have a similar flow on effect.
You have to admire the sophisticated approach that Apple represents these days - and there is so much more on the near term horizon - Leopard, iLife updates, new phone-less ipods, iPhone updates, and not too far off I would guess 3G iPhones.
The only chink in the armour that I can see is the decision to lock the iPhone up with single carriers in each market place. If the iPhone is not Vodafone in Australia then I will have a hard time getting it as a phone. Similar sentiments will exist in every market they sell into and multi-year lockouts seem unnecessary now that they have really proved its appeal in the US. - kingygk, on 10/11/2007, -3/+23I busted a gut laughing at that. That is almost as funny as Leo Laportes review of the zune. That was great to see him say the zune was a piece of crap!
Watch this video on the zune. Funny as hell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZXiLY4bo80 - drumpat01, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2simply hilarious.
- woot4fun, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2David is funny and can sing. I love it.. I had to show it to my wife who still thinks I am insane for waiting in line all day on the 29th..
- NNTPgrip, on 10/11/2007, -6/+0Much better for the funny:
wouldyoulikeasandwich.blogspot.com - satch, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1In fact, he's a great singer (live):
http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/7 - superlad, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Does anyone know if you can download that from iTunes? Seriously.
- pabloD, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4you can subscribe to Pogue's NYT video podcast, it's the last episode.
- TheMongo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Podcasts> NY Times > Circuits Video Podcast. I just subscribed, myself. It should be up soon
- antdude, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Original music video source: http://video.on.nytimes.com/?fr_story=f390265dcbb9e1f1da97a69637e921d39b6c99aa
- badwithcomputer, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0why isn't this in the video section?
edit: still dugg it... - Majora26, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2WOW... im getting sick of hearing about iphone... but that was pretty good!
- apnAEA, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Doesn't this guy have something else to think about apart from the iPhone?
- twodogs, on 10/11/2007, -3/+0iDon't
- stopsucking, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4That was horribly + terrific = horrific.
- launchpadtt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Clearly they're not giving David Pogue enough work to do
- GrassrootsNinja, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1He should squint less when singing, you can't see his eyes and it masks his expression. Lovely signing job, though.
- michaelinnotts, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I've always admired the dignity of the New York Times.
- kineticarl, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2You know, I don't own any Apple products, but it sure feels good to be an Apple shareholder lately.
- miniboss, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2I can't believe people are actually thinking this was funny. It makes you wonder if they'd still be praising lame stuff like this if it were Microsoft or Motorola geeking out.
- mpeters13, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Best part of this "musical" is at 2:45... "so what if it's .:.static.:. AT&T?" .:.end_static.:.
i loled. - pyry, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Yes, I'm sick to death of something, alright...
- rodzilla, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1I'll buy an iphone once I see a chick do this with one http://www.shooshtime.com/clips/video.php?id=8307

Will this be coming to a theater soon?

http://www.techshoot.net - aahmed753, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Ever wonder why David Pogue and Walt Mossberg and few other got to have iPhone 2 weeks before it's release? This video is your answer. These Journalist are "Apple" friendly and wouldn't mind having two or more podcasts/shows, including this hard working musical dedicated to iPhone. Yea, they are just like me. Suffering from "Applious".
On other note, the claim "battery can't be replaced" is not true. Apple will provide FREE battery replacement within 1 and after that $85 some dollars... so it "CAN" be replaced. - TopTenTodd, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0Ya know, I love my iPhone and I actually laughed at video. Very funny and David can sing.
BUT, after seeing that video and hearing David say how he is not biased on his Apple reviews...
I call *****!- treoguy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Um... maybe you didn't get to the part about "It's got some flaws...no keys, no memory card, the battery's sealed, you can't replace it"... and where the AT&T static craps out!! If he was shilling for Apple, I doubt he would have made fun of all that stuff. And pointed out the high price either.
- TopTenTodd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Ever see the music video he did for the Treo??
Me either.- treoguy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Ever see the wave of national hysteria and excitement about the Treo? The time 500,000 Treos sold in 2 days? The time the Treo became important and familiar enough to pop culture that someone could do a parody music video about it and anyone would CARE?
Me neither.

- madmax22a, on 10/11/2007, -6/+2that was the dumbest ***** thing i have seen.
- mr100percent, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1The video says he used the melody from "I did it my way." Sounds familiar, is it from a musical?
- radmarshallb, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Frank SInatra
- celerityfm, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Make sure you see his video diary on the iPhone as well - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcRfAaIb2Ro - it makes me want to read his reviews :)
