- bobartig, on 10/12/2007, -7/+20I'm a lifetime mac user, and probably always will be, but Windows does come with a paint application out of the box, and mac os x does not.
I know, its a *****, ***** paint app, but if I want to draw something on a fresh os install, even something extremely simplistic, I actually can't do it.
To me, Textedit beats wordpad, terminal smashes a dos console, calculator (osx) is better than calculator (winxp), etc. etc. etc., but MSPaint sits unchallenged.

Also I wouldn't use MS Paint for resizing photos, as far as I can tell it uses Nearest Neighbor which will result is funky looking images. IrfanView is a much better photo manipulation tool. This brings back the basics of a person and their art.
It was just a person and their brush, with this - its a person with their pencil tool.
With adobe you have to many tools sometimes, this makes it more pure. Like driving a old sports car, just you and the road. -
