- thezanman, on 07/31/2008, -0/+1Apple is not going to ditch intel unless its an x86 compatible chip. I know Apple is a crazy ***** when it comes to change, but a full architecture switch this soon would just piss all the people off that develop for the platform.
HOWEVER, they do plan on offloading a lot of work to the GPU in 10.6, so having a super-beefy graphics processor to do more then just graphics would make a lot of sense and fit with the purchase of PA. - iFred, on 07/31/2008, -0/+1I just hope the new chipsets dont destroy the OSX86 community, or I'll have to stock up on more Asus P5W DH Deluxe boards....
