- Administrator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7If you download the widget and extract it from the ZIP file, you can use it on windows by opening vf1.html from the vf1.wdgt directory. The menu is on the right side, it'll pop out when you roll over it, just click a station and you're all set.
- UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wow- comedy classics is great quality and 30fps, it appears.
- yost, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1a konfabulator wiget would be great, even if it was only for os x for now

What would you prefer? Windows Media Player? Real Player on the Mac is infinitely better than WMP on the Mac. In fact, it's actually a nice program, unlike the Windows version. - Nitroflames, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And yes, according to Jobs' keynote presentation widgets, or rather java apps, "will just work." My copy is down because I upgraded my system. Anybody try it out on OS x86 yet?
- fuelvolts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this works using the html file above in windows!!!! Now, if only it were a widget!
/dreams on... - Qu1kK1ll, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm guessing this would work w/ the x86 OSX version that's floating around...
- Neptuned, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WOW thats one ugly ***** skin. Photoshop to the rescue.
- Nitroflames, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Are there any plans to make this a konfabulator widget? Anybody?
- spade, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Only a few cool channel, but wow, very nice.
+digg - hcsteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nitroflames: Dashboard widgets are not Java apps, they're just HTML & CSS stitched together with some JavaScript. Some of the widget-specific functionality uses javascript that will only work in Dashboard (or in Safari), but as other people have testified, most of it should work in any browser with good javascript support.

Photoshop your own skin. Takes 2 seconds. - antiTRACE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't get (digg) it, Winamp could do this years ago.
- lego, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What's the problem with just streaming these in a normal video player?
- seriypshick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like the app, but I don't like the look
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Euro Music Videos: (QuickTime 7)
- scottjl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0if it's on the computer (vs a television set) and over the internet (vs airwaves) is it still TV?
- lilrabbit129, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0OMG amazing.
- DrMerle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's pretty cool, yeah most of the channels are crap, but if they get some better content on here eventually, it could be a good reason to drop my digital cable.
If you control click on the screen it gives you some options. Would be nice if you could change the skin, retro is interesting, for about 5 seconds. - aardwolf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is it just me or is this whole widget thing just like what Microsoft did with Active Desktop (and failed at) with Windows 98. I remember writing my own "widget" in html and javascript back in 98 of a cat that sat in the bottom right of my screen and did random things when i moused over it.
- tool_army, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If only I had a Mac...
*sheds tear*
Maybe one of these days I'll save the money. Mac Mini or cheap Wintel laptop...choices, choices! - JasonMiller, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The seem-less integration of the widget into dashboard really shows off how amazing 10.4 is. Yea the interface could use a lift and the channels are limited but the concept really pushes the envelope in the total desktop working environment. Now I don't even need to turn my head to watch T.V. I also love how you can listen even while you are not in dashboard mode. Again great integration.
- ndm007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is awesome.
wow.
so darn great.
did i say awesome?? - Jyakku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It would be cool if you could add the TV stations you want from the wwitv.com . I'll bet somebody hacks this or comes up with an alternative that can do this soon.
- matriculated, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Konfabulator doesn't do html so it can't be converted, afaik.
- shade73, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very Cool find! I know winamp can already do this, but this is pretty cool in it's own right!
- Big_MARK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like it
Dugg - sstringer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great idea, but the interface sucks. Very poor design. Like, how do you turn the damn thing off???
- colddog15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0very interesting -- a few more pushs here and a few more pulls then we'd have podcasting for the sight enabled viewers
- ndm007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol, i wanna know that too.
hey, i hear that Leo Lapotres call for help is back on in the US.....where can i watch this....anywhere online?? - lollerskates, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No porn?
- ndm007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Laporte's******
- Ferneaux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sheesh...with the addition of THIS widget, I'm running out of room on my dashboard. I wonder if that is a good enough excuse to cough up some more $$$ for a larger monitor? ;o)
- tomasss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://delicast.com - TV and radio stations
- odds11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0how do i download????
- newave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Man this is a fugly looking widget...
- 9enisP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Does anyone know which port this widget uses? I can't seem to get it working behind my router without being in the DMZ.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Aren't all of those just streams? I've used a number of programs for windows that claim you can watch T.V. but they're just Streams from websites.
- MadChicken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Needs a TV guide.
- hseikaly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i have to agree, this thing is pretty ugly. why can't widget designers make some nice looking widgets for once. but i guess its cool, it just aggregates these video streams together.
- 9enisP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nevermind. I logged its activity and it uses ports 6970 and 6972.
- ShaunJordan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Very Ugly, and Crap channels.
Still a step in the right direction.
