Valentine's Mac Tragedy
techiediva.com — As I reached the top stair, I took a slip and reached for the rail as the Mac slipped from my grasp. The sound is one you can never imagine in any of your worst nightmares. The Mac landed 5 steps down on it's corner, then the aluminum body sprung up again as it gained speed and proceeded to snowball down the stairs till it landed at the bottom...

- foxhaze, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4Macs suck.
What a dumbass. - Omicron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6how exactly does a laptop "snowball" as it goes down the stairs? did it pick up other overpriced technology on the way down? maybe you were playing Katamari Damacy, and this didn't really happen at all.
- brickbat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Man, what an idiot...Carrying a laptop around like that. There are all sorts of bags and carrying cases. Stop whining. Next time you buy a laptop, get a bag.
- Me1000, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1That was very well written!
- greater_eagle, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7ha, this guy needs to get a girlfriend.
- colincornaby, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2I'd like to see you drop something you bought for a few thousand dollars down a flight of stairs and not be a little upset about it.
Unless you're Bill Gates. Then I'll make an exception. - hbweb500, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7"I'd like to see you drop something you bought for a few thousand dollars down a flight of stairs and not be a little upset about it."
You can't drop your girlfriend down the stairs! - GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1I did. She was all like, "Ooh me love you long time. Me so horny!"

- Herkimer56, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3Oh, look, another insecure DOS-boy. Another pitiful victim of OS Envy. Why don't you run down to the nearest Apple Store where they can help you find a full and speedy recovery?
- BobMysterioso, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I don't know what you're talking about. I run DOS as my primary OS and it is super secure.
I have never had an internet worm, or virus (other than pesky floppy viruses) ever! DOS rules!
Arcane FTW!!!

- ,,|,_, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I made a mad dash across my living room, into the kitchen with my 17" Dell notebook in hand to grab a ringing phone. I tried to hurdle a baby gate between the dining room and kitchen and caught my toe on the way over. My left elbow was the first thing to hit the ceramic tile floor followed shortly by the back left corner of my lappy.
I hit the ground hard enough to tear my left rotator cuff (a ***** painful shoulder injury common to big league baseball pitchers). I scraped some paint off the black aluminum chassis and cracked a tiny piece of plastic covering the screen hinge but otherwise, the notebook was in much better shape than me :( That was no fall down a staircase but I was pleasantly surprised given the common opinion that Dells are not well made.
