- Nathan07, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2If you don't want to switch to a Mac then don't. However, the fact remains that many people are and a list like this is very useful to those types of people.

Not so sure about that...I try to make myself like Adium but I'm always back to iChat in a few days. The only advantage to using Adium is that it supports more protocols than iChat, which is probably irrelevant to most people. And no, tabbed chatting is not an advantage. I know it's trendy for everything to have tabs now, but if you are carrying out multiple simultaneous chats, it's much better to have them in separate windows so that you can see what everyone is saying as opposed to clicking back and forth. - norz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0other nice freeware: temperature monitor: has graphs, max values, etc.

- pixelfreak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0To be honest, i started using transmission too, because azureus is really eating all of the computers resources
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1WHO THE ***** IS STUPID ENOUGH TO SWITCH TO MAC?
- pixelfreak, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I can only second you! Adium is really amazing! I never use iChat.

Entirely a matter of preference. I find having conversations in their tabs much more productive and organized, and you can always untab your conversations in Adium if you dont like them that way. (Correct me if I am wrong)
My problem with iChat: It looks like its made for 10 year olds: its incredibly basic.
