Use your second computer as additional display in Mac OS X.
screenrecycler.com — Many Mac users have a second computer sitting right next to their main computer on their desk including a nice display. ScreenRecycler now enables you to use this spare computer as second display for your Mac. You can even use an idle machine for that purpose. It ’s like a dual monitor setup without the need to buy an additional monitor.

- M0b1u5, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Thanks, but I'll just use my spare Mac screen as #3 on my PC.
- SwabTheDeck, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I bought a KVM switch for $30, which is the same as the cost of this program and I use it for this exact purpose. If it's using VNC like the site says, there's going to be at least SOME latency issues, even on a LAN, simply due to the client PC having to translate the graphics. I'd recommend the KVM switch for the same price: 1) No latency 2) OS and hardware independent 3) doesn't waste resources/electricity on the client PC. Additionally, there is at least one *free* VNC host for Macs that I've heard of (OSXVNC), so I have no idea why this guy thinks he can charge money for it, maybe for the extended desktop feature, but I'm sure two independent desktops would be fine for most people.
