- wicked9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20Can the DS stream from an mp3 server? if so this would kickass
- ebolaworld, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Calm down. Go outside.
- Reziarfg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12I for one welcome our Mactendo overlords.
- nonokiaboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I hope it gets released soon!
I Like the Mp3 playback within moonshell... but what I'd
LOVE most of all, is a "Sleep Timer" as i know the DS
can turn itself off. Would be great for listening to podcasts
before going to bed.
Hopefully this homebrew (which looks so swish) implements
it.
Dugg Instantly! :) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7holy craps thatt's amazing!
- beanwaur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6yes...sorta. it can stream mp3s from Winamp using a program called Sylphamp. http://www.sylphds.net/ev2/contentview.php?id=488
- Darrelc, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9You Know the Ipod does that right? Extras > Clock > [your clock] > Sleep Timer
- socalrob, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7If it could send via Wifi, and could be implemented with a large enough memory card, I could see this being another reason that the DS is better than the PSP (And I own a PSP and not a DS so no fanboy action here) and possibly a way to give the Zune a run for its money, since its Wifi feature is more of a Joke than anything.
- jonesin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Man what a great idea!
- skate3214, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4No go away...
- psycx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5@Elranzer: yes, that's absolutely right. Even my black DS lite is ipod white.
- rageguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I have ported wget to DS linux, using that and the inbuilt MP3 player its quite easy to stream internet radio to the DS. :-)
It doesnt have a pretty interface though. - hodrige, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Didn't some company make an ipod look alike player for iPaq or windows mobile with touch screen click wheel a while back and got sued by Apple and went out of business?

- Stopher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks like he solved the touchscreen problem. Pretty neat.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This is pretty cool, though i doubt i would use it
- stalefries, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You poor thing.

- Xanium4332, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this is a bit off topic, but does anybody know the name of the game cartridge (thingy, don't know what the proper name is) he's using.
Or better yet, does anyone know the *best* game cartridge (if it's possible to rank one as the 'best')
Thanks.
/Off Topic - deeku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you've got a mac or linux machine, you can stream anything through a DS using DSLinux. I am still figuring out how to make it better, but I wrote a little thing about how to do it (using a mac). http://chinacat.ca/blog/2007/01/03/streaming-itunes-from-os-x-to-dslinux/
- rodzilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@hodrige the pocket PC one was called pPod http://the.taoofmac.com/space/Pocket%20PC/pPod
I used to have it around here somewhere - magicmarc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Straight to forums link:

This was just posted. It looks like it was stopped because of the bad mp3 support. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1 From what i understand, its homebrew taht will run off of a special card called supercard or something, no breaking open of anything bro =]
- zeero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1u gotta buy one of the many carts for it. for which you would then buy a micro-sd card onto which you can put "backed up games" which is what i do, got a 1 gig micro sd onto which around 15 games fit. the thing can run programs like this too. the whole kit is around 150$.
http://www.m3adapter.com/ - D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So is this a totally software based thing?(I don't want to break open my DS) and will i still be able to play games? Does it still play when it is closed? Where does it store the songs, and how many can it store? When can I expect to get a copy of this for my DS?
So many questions, does anyone have answers?
Either way, looks freaking awesome... - CherryTzors, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah... I saw this before.
PLEASE:
Look if your story has been submitted before. - clink0914, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1dugg for Bob Sinclar

He is using a flashcard called Supercard. Read more about them here: www.gbatemp.net. - Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Project seems cool. I would prefer if the main screen filled the entire top screen, rather than having the rim of the iPod on it. Seems a bit of wasted space to me. The NDS Lite is already iPod-white.
- limpbizkitt0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wow thats great work, hope this becomes something public and well working
- Mathewh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1this is very cool stuff.
- Satanael, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Looks like he had 4 songs on there. My entire music library!!
- johnstar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I would like cplay on ds but im a cli junkie
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you want to learn how to do this, go to http:///homebrewcast.com/nds and download the tutorial episode, or search iTunes for DS Homebrew. Its 50 mins, and will teach you everything and even where to buy the stuff.
- m4v1s, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think his question is does it play video. In the screenshot of the video it clearly shows a videos folder.
- slantyyz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you go with a Slot 1 solution like SuperCard's DS One, you can do it pretty cheap. The card sells for around 50 bucks USD, and you have to add the price of a TransFlash card. I managed to get a 2GB trans flash card for 80 CDN. You can get 1GB with the Supercard DS One for less than the 150$ that zeero is talking about. Of course, that doesn't include the price of a DS or DS Lite.
- slantyyz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm not a big fan of the M3 card. I've had a bunch of cards, and I prefer the new SuperCards (either the slot 1 solution or the flush solution). I have had way fewer compatibility issues with my Supercard MiniSD than I did with my M3.
A whole slew of slot 1 solutions just came out. Slot 1 solutions don't require a second GBA cartridge or conversion of your NDS files using software. Right now, you can get 2GB or more using transflash in a Slot 1 solution. SuperCard's DS ONE has a pretty awesome navigation system for selecting Games, and is the one that I recommend. I have noticed a few compatibility issues, but most of them are related to the size of the savegame and/or the speed rating of your flash card. Cards like the DS One can also act as a pass key, allowing you extra storage with a GBA slot card reader.
IIRC, DATEL also offers a Media Max product that includes a 4GB hard drive, but it's going to add quite a bit of unwanted heft to your DS. - afzilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.willitblend.com/videos.aspx?type=unsafe
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4yes, I feel a bit cheated that somebody duped my story...
- Underduck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this looks so awesome. i cant wait
- JasD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Another huge problem that would have to be overcome is the terrible volume control on the DS. Until that is fixed the platform could never be a realistic alternative to a proper mp3 player.
