- ikkebra, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23as would any spellchecking ruin the surprise
- Etaoin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20Surely you mean the surprsie. Seriously, proofread your comment.
- relinquish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16This may not be that funny, but check out the reviews for Apple MacWorld 2007 Announcement #4. (http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MacWorld-2007-Announcement-Mac/dp/B000BN3LSO/sr=8-1/qid=1167967587?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&tag2=reality)

Apple once again are the kings interface design and ease of use. Apple MacWorld 2007 Announcement #4 was ridiculously easy to set up and getting started with. I got one, my two for my kids got one each and my wife is even thinking about getting one. The only problem I've had so far is that a piece of plastic on the backside was broken for me. I don't know how that happened, but I turned it in at one of their Apple retail stores and they fixed it for me pretty quick.

I've been using Apple MacWorld 2007 Announcement #4 for almost no time, and I can safely say it's the best #4 I've ever experienced. I thought #3 was good, but this is ridiculous. - numb, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20Well, that "404 not found" thing isn't as hilarious as it was the first time I saw it. wtf?
- vuke69, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17I didn't know if it would be a dissertation or a desecration, I was relieved to only find a description.
- SimplyZ, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17...Not THAT funny
- chicaneuk, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17What always makes me laugh about the listing of as yet unavailable products by Amazon is that they still accept reviews for them. In the case of yet to be released consoles (for example), these 'reviews' typically tend to degenerate into slanging matches between console "fanboys", or reviews which say something like "I've seen screenshots for this console and it looks like its going to be brilliant!" or "This console will have a Cell processor which is far superior to the processor in the Wii - it will be brilliant!" - how insightful!!
- prockcore, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Obviously the poster and I have conflicting definitions of "hilarious".
- subtle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Not only is this not hilarious, but it was also written by a retarded person.
- tagawa, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Wouldn't it be cool if Digg had a spell-checker that you could easily run when writing descriptions?
Or maybe if there was a browser that had spell-checking on-the-fly.
Ah, the stuff of dreams... - strangeguitar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Am I a dumbass, or are the links in the article dead?
- zavigny, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Discretion is the better form of valor.
- firsttube, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Vivid descriptions. I digg. Hilarious? Perhaps if I'd never seen anything moderately amusing or funnier, than yes.
- grafenberg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5or "haha I'm using the amazon review tab to make fun of people haha"
or "That new sony playstation is gonna rock because it chomps 64gazillion hyper triangles per second and has a total throughput on the main bus of 97 teraflops."
or "I'd buy a wii if it came with sonic the hedgehog" - andysimmons, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Anyone have the original Amazon descriptions saved? I'm getting 404-ed by all of the product links.
- cheez, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7online retailers routinely put in placeholders so they can put up the products immediately after the announcement. they already have a page for os x.5

- homestar14, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7Amazon, I'll be using you to purchase my new copies of those products this year. Thanks!
- modiggs1976, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Oh that Jeff Bezos. What a card.
He would be my savior if he labeled Head On Mac World 2007 Announcement #5. - StephenCIreland, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3look at the URL the end tag is reality, change it to imagination and youll probably get the mac tablet
- burke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Apply directly to the hard drive!

- grafenberg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yeah or you might have missed it
- morphie, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6The only good answer. Amazon, keep your hands of not-yet-announced products. Apple, stop crying emo boy.
- relinquish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, good thing I got it right before it went down.
- ayeroxor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1chicaneuk: "these 'reviews' typically tend to degenerate into slanging matches"
'Slanging' is a perfectly cromulent synonym for quarreling. - mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Its gone. The pages are not up anymore.
This is stupid, screw you guys Im going home! - acceptab1euname, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@Ireland: we don't get upset over it, we just think you're an idiot.
- sendmesomejunk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This was a good laugh

- runningIDIOT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think I saw "Duke Nukem forever" on Amazon ... 2 years ago ... :)
- jman8888, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10.0 Wtf its gone. Any mirrors?
- bobbknight, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6Really not very discreet.
- lokotinsky, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yup. First (or should I say 'frist') thought that came to mind when I read this. However, you'll notice that are many other egregious (my the number of ways I could foul that up) errors in following replies.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6If you think this is hilarious you are a ***** idiot.
- virtualball, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1cheez is right, people are thinking there will be 5 announcements, Amazon knows as much as we do right now!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Ireland is a moron. How sad he came from the same place as U2...
- Revo75, on 10/12/2007, -9/+9In this case hilarity does not ensue.
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3"we don't get upset over it, we just think you're an idiot."
It's easy to say online, in real life you'd get a thump in the face. - Agret, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Better link:

- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3I thought I had a way of getting those links back, but no. Amazon has taken them down. 3 days to go, till the keynote. Tuesday 9th @ 9am San Francisco time.
- sendmesomejunk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2***** yourself
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3I always make a spelling mistuky, I enjoy laughing at people getting upset over it.
- dylanbenstead, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1um... I submitted this yesterday... no digg
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2They took them down. Here's a screenshot of iLife '07; http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?t=70013 The first one of the packages to go up on Amazon. Looks like Amazon got told by Apple; "We didn't laugh."
- RandomGuySteve, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0"just ruin the surprsie"
I don't surf the web looking for "surpsies", I could easily get that with IE6 on an unsecured machine.
