- Seumas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Too bad the only Mac I have is my powerbook and I obviously don't run that 24x7 and it's not much use if it doesn't run 24x7. ;)
I'll just stick to my own shell script for the time being. :) - ministry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Really cool when out of nowhere a browser window pops-up ;)
- zeeeend, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, amazing piece of art!
- stantheman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I used the 1.0 version too. Recommended. Would be great to have a more detailed analysis when the site is down. Not sure if that is added in 1.1
- mburns, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0PHPSysInfo is great for webservers(or any server that also has a web server running). It puts up a really informative webpage detailing the system at the time.
There are dashboard widgets that tie into the XML file it produces and shows average load, uptime stats, etc. Really nice widget. - optikburn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0any Linux version?
- MonkeyFit, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Ugh...I hate widgets. they just waste desktop space. My friend has knfabulator..i'm sorry..Yahoo Widget Engine. I can't stand to use his comp. I prefer my minimalist desktop with just the recycle bin and the locked taskbar.
- lo0ol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0MonkeyFit- well, it's a Dashboard widget, so it doesn't crowd the desktop (I'm the same way stylistically though). I just downloaded it for my own site- looks like a decent widget for the few minutes of the day that I'm not actually on the site.
- Kiltak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0cool
- boicraig, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I love all the apple links this morning.
+digg - coldcoffee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0no digg......until i get my mac mini for xmas. (*fingers crossed*)
- stui, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It's not real easy to install, is it...
- cobralibre, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0no dig......until the widget author can spell "consecutive."
- jmz668, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The coolest part is when there actually occurs an error!
Oh, Yoda speak!
Gotta wonder, in the rush to get a story submitted, why do people really ignore spelling and grammar? - LooterMcBeer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Widgets are the dumbest thing to come out for computers since Star Wars Galaxies
- jmholloway, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0curse you mac owners. i want one.
- Tenzin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0
no digg mac only (next time you should put Mac Users in the title) - thecoolestcow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0that's pretty cool. also pretty gay that the maker of it made it a widget. how cool would it be to have that on your personalized google homepage, with that new API. someone email the author and tell him to do that.
- gorkish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Erm hate to say it really but if you actually need this your ISP isn't doing their job.
- kamizu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the mac user's solution to monitoring the digg effect. compact and convenient. i can digg it.
now all the PC users can do is hope there is a konfabulator equivalent soon, or make one. - databyss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ZOMG! It's just like ping!
Except you don't have to be smart, cause it already reroutes it! - ZeroLogic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Fugg j00 gramr polease, congrats for spotting someone else's errors, and then bragging about it, and bashing them for it. We all know that no thoughts, ideas or any bit of information should be given any merit at all unless it conforms to flawlessly to the rules of english, as you know or remember them today.
Anyway, it is a nice widget if you need to keep tabs on a server, the setup is not the standard "it just works" but then, if you're in a position to DO anything when/if there is a problem, you should be ok. It would be nice to have more than one server shown in the widget, did I miss this option? Also, the widget is very pretty but for readability I would like the option to make it black text on white, little bigger font. This is something I'm not going to spend a lot of time reading but still. - elev8, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1This widget is ***** stupid. The only thing worse is the description of this article. "The widget we all should have in our toolbox". How about telling us what it is, so we can ignore it and not waste our time on lame freeware that was considered cutting-edge in 1993.
- Halvy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0uhhh, noone else noticed that there is nowhere on the home page to download this?
They don't point you to it either.
Ahhhhnd you have to 'register'? Some 'FreeWare'..
I won't therefore even try something that is misleading right from the start... let alone purchase something else later on.
CAN I UN-DIGG MY DUGG!? :( - stantheman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No download??

- dBass, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Been using it since v 1.0 and it's simple and sweet.

thanx man.. but even apple (God love them) hasnt' figured out how to make a web page render correctly in Mozilla!
I'm a etc guy (that's why i have no patients ;) and i was having a hard time finding the dl button.
i wonder how many other folks will give up because of this over site-- which is quit unnecessary. :( - oldcyborg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Please make note when a product in only for one OS. You have run the Rest of us around for squat. The same goes for something that only runs in windows.. Just knowing that stuff defines whether we need to waste our time going to the site..
Cyborg
No, not enuff info. - abhibeckert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It says "widget" in the title. That means mac only, to mac users at least...
BTW, it might be pretty easy to port this to other platforms. Widgets are just HTML/JavaScript/CSS. With a few exceptions (address book, notes, etc) most widgets run flawlessly in Safari, and if they don't run in firefox it shouldn't be hard to make them work. - OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0What's so exciting about this?
