I want a macbook pro now, i have been running my dam powerbook g4, and i need the powa.... its ridiculous how as soon as I get a new item from apple, they go ahead and upgrade the line like a month later... Meaning if i go out and decide to get my laptop tomorrow, next month, rite after i cant return it nemore, theyll come out with a new one....

It doesn't need to use something like the 1.8" HDD, but can use a larger physical drive with faster speeds and more storage space. There are hybrid drives available now, but i am not sure if they are only in traditional desktop sizes.
The MBP could be updated anytime. while we can expect *something* at WWDC, Apple stopped just having to updates a year. They did not replace the MWNY with WWDC because they don't want that kind of deadline. If you need one today, buy one today.
