- canthraxp, on 02/24/2008, -6/+34This may be interesting for brainless beings such as:
a) Bacteria
b) Viruses
c) Apple fanboys
For the rest of the species, it's just a bunch of ***** photos. - andywebb95, on 02/24/2008, -1/+10Someone was bored
- leontes, on 02/24/2008, -0/+6$500,000 scanning electron microscope, I mean, come on!!!!
- sjones12, on 02/24/2008, -1/+5*cough* $250,000 scanning electron microscope *cough*
- Knowlan, on 02/24/2008, -3/+6Wonder how long this takes to reach the front page, a bunch of useless photos of an... IPHONE
- manitoba98xp, on 02/24/2008, -0/+2Why am I not surprised that the story you linked to was submitted by...you?
- yesplease151, on 02/24/2008, -1/+2I think I see the Virgin Mary in that picture.
- dylangaine, on 02/26/2008, -0/+1i understand where you're coming from- i guess i was just frustrated by what i feel is an over abundance of iphone related content and other content that has been resubmitted over and over and people keep digging it up to the front page and other very important matters get skipped over. but i can see what you mean about the spamming, so i won't do that anymore.
- ep53, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1I think these iPhone shenanigans have gone on long enough....I mean come on, this is ridiculous....what were they hoping to find? A treasure map to Steve Jobs gold??
- cesarandreu, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1Come on, that's low quality stuff! We need a $1,000,000 microscope if we want quality stuff.
- manitoba98xp, on 02/25/2008, -0/+1Digg is a community-driven news site. (Or it used to be. It's degraded somewhat.)
Submitting stories of all sorts is encouraged, but attempting to promote your own story (regardless of how or whether it benefits you) in another, irrelevant, story is frowned upon ("comment spamming" is the general term for it). Imagine if the comments on every article were not actually *comments* on the *article*, but just attempts to promote other articles.
If the people browsing upcoming stories see yours and believe it worthy of promotion (newsworthy, funny, etc.) then it will be promoted, by the same process as any other story. It's not an attack on you or the validity of your submission, simply your tactic for promoting it. - RetepNamenots, on 02/24/2008, -1/+1Damn, a look at the microscopic levels of the iPhone. And it's reached the front page.
-.- - dylangaine, on 02/24/2008, -2/+2you shouldnt be surprised. but that is neither her nor there- i dont gain anything if i get dug up 10000 times. i posted it because i felt people needed to know this stuff. i posted it hoping to spread some awareness, but instead i get criticized by you thinking i'm here to promote myself - what kind of BS is this anyway? i honestly thought Digg would be a good place for people to share newsworthy stuff that escapes the mainstream but instead it is often just a bunch of meaningless articles.
- murty, on 02/24/2008, -1/+1Would be more interesting if i knew what i was looking at on the iPhone...
- landmonster, on 02/24/2008, -3/+2What a load of horse *****.
- dylangaine, on 02/24/2008, -6/+3god why don't you just have sex with it and get it over with? stupid ***** like this that makes the front page while news like http://www.digg.com/people/FBI_Takes_Mans_Entire_S ... gets no mention makes me lose faith in the people's ability to choose
- anderow, on 02/24/2008, -5/+0Wicked! What better way to use a $30k microscope!! Not sure about the quality of the iphone though. These pics here are much better http://www.tulumboutiquehotels.com/
