- tabion, on 11/27/2008, -1/+21Supermonkeyball shouldn't be on the list, I'm sorry but that game is absolutely dreadful for $10
- Sh0rtstak, on 11/26/2008, -0/+19'Fieldrunners' is an amazing game. Glad it made the list.
- Cglass, on 11/27/2008, -0/+9i live dangerously, i touch them
- jasmus, on 11/27/2008, -0/+5I'm not sure I could do gamenoy games with touchscreen controls, give me some real buttons for those.
- kelly, on 11/27/2008, -2/+6I disagree.
- spacerobot, on 11/27/2008, -0/+4Field Runners is pretty good. Compared to your average flash tower-defense game it is only mediocre, but for being on the iphone/ipod it is pretty good. I just wish there were more of a variety of towers :(
- Johnnyjm, on 11/27/2008, -1/+4Ocarina is the best music app. I'm always playing this thing!
I've already learned like all basic ocarina songs from "Ocarina of Time". - username7410, on 11/27/2008, -4/+7The iPhone needs some kind of buttons peripheral.
- dohidied, on 11/27/2008, -0/+2When I saw that on the page I no longer trusted the list.
- Cglass, on 11/27/2008, -0/+2Where's Epona?
- inactive, on 11/27/2008, -0/+2I never use my DS since getting my iphone - it feels like its stuck in rut at the moment with no new decent games coming out.
The iphone has better graphics, a bigger and brighter screen and the touch control is far better than the DS one.
I'd rather play Trism or Bejeweled than pick up Brain Training, and Steve was right - no one wants to use a stylus when you've got fingers. - inactive, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1Same here- I tried it but the controls weren't good enough.
- boozedrinker, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1It is certainly in the top 3 of all games...
- inactive, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1Trism is the one I keep coming back to, followed by Bejewled 2, Numba and Frenzic.
And I'm addicted to Live Poker at the moment.
Other decent ones to try are Glyph, tetravex, enigmo, labrynth and bubble bash. - winnopeg, on 11/27/2008, -1/+2Missing Cube Runner. Fun and free.

YEAAAAAAAHHHHHH - nitzan, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1If you like Lumines and Super Puzzle Fighter you should check out Tatomic: http://tinyurl.com/57ufb7
There is a free lite version as well: http://tinyurl.com/56cq8a - leontes, on 11/27/2008, -1/+2The game that I play the most now?
wurdle. Nice priced boggle clone that allows you to set your own rules/style of play. Also works out well to play vs. someone.
I also enjoy Trace.
I'm considering purchasing fieldrunners, but it's about two dollars more than I'd be comfortable paying at this point. Maybe after drinking one night. - thatsmyaibo, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1No Nine Inch Nails Tap Tap Revenge? I'm hooked on that!
- SickofSects, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1A tip if you are thinking of Super Monkey Ball: you have to make a mental adjustment. Do not think that you are controlling the ball directly, rather, you are controlling the surface itself. As you change the slope of the surface by tilting, the ball rolls accordingly. Once you get the hang of it, this is simply an awesome awesome game. I had hours of fun with it, and finally beat the game. Some of the stages will challenge you like anything. Graphics are quite nice too, and the music on the smooth-sherbet stage is just brilliant! :) And loads of replay value (in my first pass through the game, I ignored collecting bananas that were out of my way and just concentrated on getting to the goal).
- tsinder, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1It is weird. RPGs would seem to fit well with the iPhone because you don't need the quick and tactile response of buttons. There is Vay on the iPhone, but it's just a port. Square is also cooking something up, but it looks more like tower defense than a true RPG.
- tsinder, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1I've spent the most time with Lux, but I recently bought 2079, and it's cheap and fun:
http://toucharcade.com/2008/11/24/2079-another-fun ... - jfg84, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1I didn't know about Frotz and I'm a huge fan of text adventures. Thanks for the heads up!
- DriversPlaza, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1so much of iphone stuff out there i hav daily updating news abt it here - http://www.techlookz.com/gamers-news/
- RedGreen1, on 11/28/2008, -0/+12079 is temporarily free for anyone interested.
- edealeasy, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1Check Edealeasy! Do the Black Friday shopping now!
- kraetos, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1Fieldrunners is good, but I would much rather see one with more, unique levels where options for tower placement are limited. It makes for a lot more strategy.
Anyone who's played PixelJunk Monsters knows exactly what I am talking about.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PixelJunk_Monsters - jfg84, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1ROM's were a big reason I jailbroke, and then I realized they just don't work right.
- carolei777, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1Some good choices - Galcon and Fieldrunners are two of the few games that I keep coming back to as well ... I'd also add Fuzzle - another puzzle game, which I find the most addictive one on the iphone (and for only $1), once you get the hang of it
- inactive, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1brain training isnt a game though
mariokart, super mario 64, the world ends with you etc etc
THOSE are games - inactive, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1True.
although Crash Bandicoot karting is pretty good instead of Mario. Not quite there but potential. - znicket, on 11/27/2008, -0/+1Why are there no decent RPGs on the iPhone?
- MonkeyNacho, on 11/27/2008, -1/+1Coulda swore I heard a rumor a few months ago about a QWERTY attachment. Still, it would be extremely unweildy.
- dontfriendme, on 11/27/2008, -0/+0Don't forget Pass The Pigs!
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/ ... - giogalindo, on 11/27/2008, -3/+3i only look at the free games.
- Lemguy, on 11/30/2008, -0/+0Reign of Swords isn't there. Too bad i can't buy the full version. Bought an itunes gift card but apparently in Canada you can only use credit cards to buy appstore apps. Lame.
- EDEALEASYSUCKS, on 11/27/2008, -0/+0I disagree, do not check out Edealeasy!
- jwcy, on 11/28/2008, -0/+0MetaSquares from MetaTools
- life2digital, on 11/27/2008, -0/+0If you are into "mind-twisting" puzzles you should try, Subway Shuffle, Q Touch and Polyomino Puzzles...
- Pjatka22, on 11/27/2008, -1/+0I can't believe they forgot 7 Colors:
http://www.ketara.ca/7colors.html - indigit4l, on 11/27/2008, -3/+1SHUT UP!!! Shut the ***** up !!!!!!!!!
- inactive, on 11/27/2008, -7/+3meh, i use my DS for games
the iPhone is all about the Apps, not the games - the Nokia N series are better for games seeing as they run the N-Gage platform
none of these iPhone games look remotely tempting tbh - qwikk, on 11/27/2008, -6/+1I find instead of spending money and buying ***** games for my iPod Touch, jailbreaking + GBA ROMs are far better.
