- noahhoward, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Well one top xxx list would do for most of us as long as it wasn't that weird fetish junk.

- cwcheang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Part 2? http://dbachrach.com/blog/2006/02/the-best-unknown-mac-apps-2/
- Wogna, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9_Might_ have never heard of?
- elpepe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5The author lost all credibility when I saw that he listened to 50 Cent's "Candy Shop" 112 times.
- duffield, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This site covers a difference piece of little-known Mac freeware every day: http://www.freemacware.com/
It's definitely worth a look; a number of the products mentioned in the blog post were covered on this site. - leontes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I'm not sure how many of these I'd actually use, but I appreciate the sharing of nice applications that are designed well and really appeal in simplicity and function. I personally like symphonic : http://www.mindquirk.com/widgets/symphonic/ , and istat pro http://islayer.com/.
- macamatition, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7I like Dashboard kick start works well.
- Drewboy64, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I agree with weegee. At least this list doesn't repeat the other lists that you always find on Digg. Even though I probably won't use most of these apps on a daily bases but still cool to have.
- mikev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Dashboard widgets take a while to load the first time you bring it forward - Dashboard Kickstart loads Dashboard über quick at startup so you don't have to wait/do it yourself. Really helpful
- Drewboy64, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Yeah when they repeat themselves, which this list (and part 2) does not.
- msgyrd, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Hell, I own a mac and I'm tired of these "top apps" lists. Stop it already.
- atezun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Three Words: Escape Velocity: Nova (Well i guess it was ported to windows as well)

http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/sketchfighter/ - panique, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2HEY! I've read plenty of them too, but I just learned about BackDrop from this one. I'm always turning my desktop white to cap a screenie. So, while it may be repetitious for some, it is useful for others.
- enclaved, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1oh come on, that was funny.
- panique, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As many as it takes to get you to realize all your bellyaching doesn't do *****.
- johnwc723, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I should make a digg link of the top 20 lifehacker reposts in the past week....
- skidogallard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's a nice list. I've heard of a few of those, and have come across similar ones, but this is a great list none-the-less.
- rcran, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The AsyncKeys one is really useful to a developer. I have wanted EXACYLY that for a few months...
- gaucho4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Um, Yojimbo in part 2 is hardly an unknown app. It's received rave reviews from Macworld and is generally advertised on VersionTracker in a rather large banner. In addition, it's made by Bare Bones who makes BBEdit also.
- zaren, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'd never heard of BackDrop before. That will come in very handy for making screencasts or whatever the kids call them for demoing software. So fie on you and your crabbiness :p
- time2go, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Corner Click is really cool...great for hiding other apps.
- soyverde, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1While I still use it once in a while on legacy DBs, and it has a great interface, CocoaMySQL hasn't had a stable (non-beta) release since 2003, I believe...so probably not the best of tools for a MySQL developer (particularly if you wish to use MySQL version 5+).
- SamMiller0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i agree with his selection of yojimbo, its web archiving feature is great
- starlord1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Heard of more of them than you'd think. Good list though. I'm now trying out bullet 1.2
- zaren, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ooooh, I'd forgotten all about EV. I know I paid(!) for a copy back in the day... wonder if I can find the code, or pick up an upgrade...
- coreyb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Obviously enough people are digging them to make it to the front page... so stop complaining. If you don't like them, just don't read them!
- twitsami, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0its hard to believe it was 5 years ago i created the icons and interface for that program... looking back, they could use quite a bit of work... but so could os x back then....
- inmatarian, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4I'm not an osx user, but I can recognize nifty software, and these my friend... are nifty.
- chadillac83, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0personally I love little lists like this... sure there are a lot of them, but there is a lot of good software out there you probably wouldn't find otherwise... I say keep em coming.
- inmatarian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1http://duggmirror.com
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1List of "Indispensable MacOS X Software": http://madsenblog.dk/?page_id=11
- DeFex, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2"dashboard kickstart" You need a program to make another program load at start up? that doesn't sound right
- NeoZenkai, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4How many top-xxx lists do we need exactly?
- CBTF, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Don't you guys get bored of these top __ (insert number) mac apps lists?
- enclaved, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2I read this article earlier, marked as inaccurate.
- mikev, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3let's make a top xxx list :O
1.) raven riley
2.) (up to next commenter) - weegee, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1Apparently, I've never heard of any OS X apps.
