- gorkon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ok like this was posted on Slashdot, Engadget ad infinitium since like September LAST YEAR. The date on it is September 2004!
- phunlee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I doubt that adding WMA support is Apple's call. Seems like MS would hold tight to it. I could be wrong.
- icespide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wma blows
- Leyhart, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The scroll wheel is what makes the iPod family much more stylish than the other mp3/media players. Even though the iPod has some way to go (WMA Support anyone?) it's still the top dog for design and usability!
- aprocter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0cool digg!
- cbrooker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's a secret?
- Motobike_man, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WMA = Windows Media Audio
what part of that sounds like any kind of an open standard??
WMA sucks and blows - lollerskates, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't get why so many people need tactile feedback. I love the 2nd generation iPod. In fact, the whole no feedback touch only thing was why I liked it.
- WackyT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Had a feeling it was Synaptics.
- rishdeep, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well according to the article, Apple were the ones who actually came up with the idea of using a click-wheel (mechanical) in the first place, so they were the ones that came up with the revolutionary idea - Synaptics simply aided them in making it non-mechanical.
- riffola, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0My Sony G88 stereo system had the jogwheel (scrollwheel) way before the original 5GB iPod came out, it worked in the same way, the entire wheel moved with that mechanical feel to it.
- disord3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Waht was the secret again? That it was made by Synaptics?
Just another attention whoring iPod article. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dated but good find
- vincent, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0How is this news? Apple even switch supplies since. Someone shoot the person who sent this in, and lock out all who digged it(they must not have looked at it AT ALL).
YOU ARE ALL IDIOTS.
