The Mac Pirates & Their Jolly Roger

folklore.org — At a 1983 retreat, Steve Jobs gave his Mac team 3 admonishments: 1) Real artists ship, 2) It's better to be a pirate than join the Navy, and 3) Mac in a book by 1986. Picking up on the rebellious spirit of item #2, Apple programmer Steve Capps fashioned an Apple Pirate Flag that was hung on the Mac Group's building for more than a year.
