The “Hidden” Costs of an iPhone?
livedigitally.com — Many people were astounded by the drastic price reduction Steve Jobs announced at the 2008 WWDC. $200 for an iPhone with 3G data speeds and built-in GPS? Sweet. Since then however, many people have cried foul. Or at the least they ’ve discoursed on the hidden costs of the new iPhone, specifically charges for data service.

They can wave the eligibility for ANY other phone if you talk 'em into it EXCEPT the iPhone 3G.
After they did that to me I had a tirade on YouTube about it: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ueztfXf-Vw0- Wailord, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1"Any previous iPhone users get ***** on this one. "
Uh, 2G iPhone users are eligible for the subsidized price.

- mentor972, on 07/14/2008, -0/+1Whatever, ALL smart phones are just as bad, and if you have any other smart phone, AT&T charges $50 for a PDA plan. Get over it.
- acevoncash, on 07/14/2008, -0/+2I don't understand how this is a surprise. Subsidizing happens on most phones in America. The 3g plan is the same as any other 3g phone. Stop bitching. I'm ready to be done with iphone stories. First it was the fanboys with ridiculous amounts of stories about reviews and lines and lately its been haters with posts about how it sucks. Its a phone, everyone needs to get over it. There is no reason to choose sides over a PHONE.
