- miles01110, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8All in all I'd say 2006 was a good year for Apple & co.
- Millhouse389, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Where's the MacBook Pro?
- miles01110, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah you could get a Mac Pro for that, but you wouldn't have a monitor.
- Ninjab3ar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, they are good, but as a workstation? I'd expect to get a Mac Pro in that case.
- notorious., on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very true.
Also, YouTube isn't really a "Mac product", per se. I'm not sure what it's doing on this list. - theblueprint, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Agreed. I haven't fallen prey to hardware envy since I got mine.

My boss just bought me one of these as a new workstation a few months ago and I have to say that it seriously rocks. You will not believe the display. Amazing. - MacParrot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As much as I like the 24" iMac, for the same cash you can get a Mac Pro low end with two dual core processors, hard drive expansion, as much memory as you can afford, and expansion options that iMacs can only dream about.
The sweet spot for an iMac 24" would have been around $1699 US. - kbarrett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Those babies aren't cheap either.
- n00bst3r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Seems like they made just enough categories so that every product Apple released this year would win something.
- rickcarson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1For $2121 you can get a Mac Pro with a single 160GB hard drive and the slowest CPUs they've got. Without some kind of magic discount, they're not getting cheaper than that. And in any case, if you had the magic discount, then you could apply it to the iMac as well.
So I wouldn't call it the same cash. - kbarrett, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hmm...
I'm a designer and so far the iMac is working out pretty well for me. But I wouldn't exactly say 'no' to a Mac Pro either.
My iMac is nice and compact. I like the wireless keyboard and might mouse (and I love that scroll thingy). It's keeps my workspace pretty and uncluttered. - MuffinOfDoom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Mmm...apples.
- ferrarif1, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2I agree. I hope 2007 kicks off with an IPHONE :D
