You get what you pay for. :)
Current trend shows that a direct comparison of similarly spec'ed laptops shows a minimal difference in price between PCs and Macs.
Macs just don't make a "low end" product, like say Dell or Gateway. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12I really like the operating system. If only it wasnt tied down to their hardware, I wouldnt hesitate to buy it. I'm a student and I use my computer for internet, music, and video. Sounds like apple OS is ideal for me? Too bad that for 700 bucks I got an HP laptop with 15.4" widescreen display, 1 gig of ram, windows media center, and 80 gig HD. What will 700 dollars get me at the apple store? A ***** mac mini with no screen or keyboard+mouse. If they want to build luxury hardware then I understand them, but they would make a lot more money if they advertised their sleek operating system and allowed other computers to run it.

- sirius889, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6This is right above "Top 10 Internet Scandals of All Time" on the front page. I got a kick out of that...
- Bartboy919, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The person who gets this better share that info with the community!
- JonnyTrombone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Sorry, but I just don't trust his "GARANTEE".
- dokeshi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Originally I thought this auction would contain details on utilizing an actual leopard... Sadly, I was wrong.
In the past, I've purchased how-to plans for making my systems run faster by applying liberal amounts of cheetah blood to the server rack. The potential of a less expensive leopard-based solution really appealed to me.
Ah, well. - fishrjv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I'll wait for the winner to put it on YouTube

"I'm a student and I use my computer for internet, music, and video. Sounds like apple OS is ideal for me?"
Sounds like Linux might be a good choice for you, too. If you like OS X, you might find a distribution running KDE to your liking. Kubuntu (download it for free at http://kubuntu.org) can be run directly off a CD for you to experiment with before you actually install it to your hard drive. - Gorlof75, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Also, in Apple's defense as their sales have grown they have dropped thier prices some and I actually like that Apple has tied their OS to their hardware. It means they know exactly what their software will be running on and can make the OS to work better with it. Obviously, this is not to say that it creates the drawback of their are much fiewer options for peope to choose from and the price is a little higher (when compared to equal product.)
- The_Larch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2not that i believe he knows anything, but just wondering, (hypothetically) could apple shut him down, or has he done nothing wrong until he actually sells the video?
- sheepster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i don't trust people who mispell simple words. - guaranteed
- Goldspink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Full refund policy, i.e. he wrote out in full that he doesn't return any money. *cackles*
- OWNAGETIME, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Q: Is this just a video of your speculation? Are there Apple representatives saying making these claims?
A: Of course there are no Apple representatives leaking information, otherwise they would be fired in half a second and sued immediatly after.
It says it right in the Q&A Good Game. - AriX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Did anything ever happen to this?
- wolfzombie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Q:So how did you obtain this video?
A: Connecting the dots...
Hey, if you can sell toast that looks like a religious figure to religious fanatics on eBay, why not sell pieced together video clips with "Top Secret" information to Mac fanboys? - MacParrot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1OH NOES! The secret will get out!
Kidding. Everyone knows that Apple does all its super secret OS X goodness features from obscure Portuguese locations. Therefore it MUST be legit! - tont0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey, it has to be legit! Just look how honest this guy is:
"100% GARANTEED - FULL REFUND POLICY"
If you arent happy, he will totally hook you up with your money back. - mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yay lawsuit
- ddcrandall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I know that we all know that this auction is fake just on face value, but:
He says that he is not selling anything illegal. Selling actual screenshots or secrets WOULD be illegal. My guess? It's a video of him telling you what he thinks Leopard will be like. - VolsFan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0PayPal-only is supposed to scare you off? While everything else seems fishy, it's only when sellers insist that you pay via something other than PayPal that indicates that you have a scammer.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2We're just publicizing the scam by digging it, but who cares, I just placed a bid...
- sv650touring, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I definately wouldn't trust someone who can't spell better then that.
- Stonekeeper, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I love how this article is above "Top 10 internet scandals of all time"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2Oh, let me guess... it will be built in Nigeria!
But seriously, I bidded on it just to see what happens.
EDIT: Holy *****, the bid ends on my birthday! would make a nice present ;-)
