- Klarth, on 02/05/2008, -0/+46How the hell do people find this stuff?
- Retnuh730, on 02/05/2008, -0/+19Is this June of 07? The friggin' SDK comes out at the end of the month!
- misteral, on 02/05/2008, -1/+20If you have a jailbroken touch, why would you have bought the update?
- CraigJ, on 02/05/2008, -4/+21Republicans from 1885 have little in common with republicans from 2008.
- lonemarauder, on 02/05/2008, -1/+14I have a favorite base64 decoder?
- VibhuC812, on 02/05/2008, -1/+14Yeah, spoiler, if you lived 200+ years ago.
- MikeTRose, on 02/05/2008, -1/+12"Now, at the expiration of four years, during which public declarations have been constantly called forth on every point..." could be a review of the Apple switch to Intel. :-)
- Retnuh730, on 02/05/2008, -1/+11I'm surprised it wasn't the 'Think Different' text, they snuck that in Leopard with TextEdit's icon.
http://www.scattodesign.com/blog/wp-content/upload ... - Dantetheinferno, on 02/05/2008, -0/+10Why did this article get suddenly swamped with a barrage of pointless and trolling comments?
- ziptnf, on 02/05/2008, -1/+10Funny how Super Tuesday, iPods, and Easter all made it into one headline. It's like the ultimate Digg story.
- darny, on 02/05/2008, -0/+7because...it was previously hidden??
- inactive, on 02/05/2008, -1/+8Spoiler?
- griz, on 02/05/2008, -1/+6How in the world do you discover such a thing?
- inactive, on 02/05/2008, -2/+7Shut up.
- TheAstronomer, on 02/05/2008, -4/+8Even if that was relevant who gives a ***** what a paranoid stoner thinks about conspiracies. He probably questions his breakfast.
- TechCF, on 02/05/2008, -1/+5By looking through all the files while looking for something to exploit when the next update comes and break current day jailbreaks?
- TechCF, on 02/05/2008, -1/+4Was propably discovered looking for new exploits for future jailbreaking
- postalblowfish7, on 02/05/2008, -0/+3hunting for easter eggs about as pointless/useful as posting comments on digg ;)
- mrsteveman1, on 02/05/2008, -0/+3Because valentines egg sounds........dirty
- funkytaco, on 02/05/2008, -0/+3I have a really thick Mac OS boot camp manual (from my tech support days at Mindspring) and I recall it saying Apple quit allowing Easter Eggs. This one must not be sanctioned. I could see someone getting fired over this.
- griz, on 02/05/2008, -0/+3Because it's hidden...and you find it.
- Aiwanei, on 02/05/2008, -0/+3you don't need a carrier for an ipod touch which this article is about. You must be thinking of the iphone ;)
- iofthestorm, on 02/06/2008, -0/+2Perhaps because at the time the Democratic party represented the conservative, slaveholding South and the Republican party represented the liberal, free-soil North? There's been a huge realignment, in case you haven't noticed.
- anonym41414, on 02/06/2008, -0/+2It isn't an Easter egg at all. The authentication scheme for upgrading the iPod Touch software requires a large amount of data for cryptographic signing. This data could have been anything, like the digits of pi or a recipe for banana nut bread. They used the text of Lincoln's Second Inaugural.
- astrosmash, on 02/06/2008, -0/+2There was a sudden disturbance in the force.
- anonym41414, on 02/06/2008, -0/+2It's not a hidden Easter egg. It's part of the upgrade system. Apple just used the Second Inaugural as data to be hashed.
- anonym41414, on 02/06/2008, -0/+2You can use any carrier you want with the iPod Touch. The device works exactly the same way no matter which cell-phone company you use.
- tempusrob, on 02/06/2008, -0/+2Possible perhaps because you don't know what "conservative" really means?
- MWeather, on 02/05/2008, -0/+2It obviously doesn't work if you can't even remember Digg's TOS.
- CraigJ, on 02/05/2008, -0/+2So what does this have to do with Super Tuesday? Just because it was found on that day? To thin this I have to jailbreak my iPod, find a file, and used a base 64 converter to convert it to text? That's the best hidden easter egg I've ever heard of.
- virtualball, on 02/06/2008, -1/+3OR you could make your vote count...
- inactive, on 02/05/2008, -1/+3Dude. Stoners NEVER question anything food-related. They only question if something is edible or not...and sometimes THAT doesn't even matter.
- postalblowfish7, on 02/05/2008, -0/+1Apple has a strong history of easter eggs - the lizard flag flying over the apple campus, the textedit icon, all the awesome slow-mo finder effects (hint, hold shift), the BSoD icon when a PC joins your network... ...but this one is pretty ***** well hidden.
- Zippo, on 02/05/2008, -2/+3Indeed, times have changed... Historically, the southern states voted Democratic...
- astrosmash, on 02/06/2008, -0/+1Yeah, especially considering the state of the country after 7 years of the Neo-cons.
- donna1234, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1Perhaps Apple engineers wished they could vote for Lincoln this time around

http://www.e-uuu.com - astrosmash, on 02/06/2008, -0/+1Because that's Steve Jobs' favorite kind of egg.
- jh32488, on 02/06/2008, -0/+1the government can already track you with your cell phone
- inactive, on 02/06/2008, -0/+1OMG how retarded can these conspiracy articles be?
Oh its regarding something Apple... that explains everything then. - Aitese, on 02/06/2008, -0/+1Lack of female company
- MWeather, on 02/05/2008, -3/+4Sic Semper Tyranis

- digjam, on 02/05/2008, -2/+2what ??????? I mean come again.... i mean what???
- pitlord, on 02/06/2008, -2/+2That's because historically, Democrats have always been the most racist. Only in the last four decades they've shifted to being racist against white people. The only place left for tolerant human beings, who recognize the light of G-d in all people and judge a person based on their actions in this life instead of the popularity of their skin color among "key demographics," is the Republican party.
>.>
Unfortunately, even the Republicans are falling victim to the effects of the ignorant masses. - starkruzr, on 02/05/2008, -4/+4The SDK is going to disappoint everyone other than giant software development houses. Mark my words.
- DeFex, on 02/05/2008, -1/+1What should they be doing, making lego star wars ships?
- cardyology, on 02/05/2008, -2/+2dugg,
- EEdesigner, on 02/09/2008, -0/+0Wow. Apple engineers again show creativity. Guess a Microsoft easter egg would consist of rehashed dirty jokes...told incorrectly...after which the system crashes.
- bjs3171, on 02/05/2008, -2/+2no. they do not.
