- fkr3, on 10/12/2007, -19/+334It'd help even further if you "went to the police". It's like their job or something to find people who commit crimes and stuff.
PS.
Phone your insurance company and move along, your odds of getting a laptop back are probably about as good as my odds of waking up with Jessica Alba on my face tomorrow. - Sanooj, on 10/12/2007, -3/+247It would help if you could give us a general area where you live (a city perhaps) and we would now if we could be of help.
- Pix869, on 10/12/2007, -44/+250My guess is somewhere in the south.
First thing I thought when I saw those pictures was someone screaming "Honey come 'ere, we got usselves a COMPUTA!! YEEHA lookit dem photo thingyies it can do." - JorgeGonzalez, on 10/12/2007, -15/+205How the hell did you let physically deformed retards take your MacBook? You deserved to lose it. Look at them! They're hideous!
- keithwired, on 10/12/2007, -10/+170Ok here's what needs to be done, please digg me up or the poster of this article should read this. First you need to contact the police and tell them exactly what you explained to us that your laptop was stolen and it was set to automatically upload pictures to flickr. Now I am not sure what flickr's policy is but for most websites like that they have a privacy policy. Next, you need to have the police/DA issue a subpoena to Flickr's records and find out exactly what ip address the pictures were uploaded from, yes flickr keeps records. Once you have the ip address since these people don't look intelligent enough to use proxies or ip spoofers you can trace the ip address back to an ISP using the power of google and the variety of free ip tracing websites. Once the ISP is established the police/DA should issue a subpoena to the ISP requesting all the information about their client who's ip address you have, they will be forced to hand over the goods, from there the police/DA can track down those people using the address provided by the ISP. If they are not the actual thieves of the laptop and just bought it from a pawn shop or ebay or something like that the threat of being charged with theft will scare them into telling the police where they got it from if they don't do so from the start. Once you find out where they bought it it's pretty easy from here. If it was a pawn shop I'm pretty sure they require you to give your information when you sell high value items but im not entirely sure about that, it would make sense but maybe someone else can chime in. Once you have the pawn'rs information an arrest can be made, if it was ebay the account is easily traceable and the police/DA can issue a subpoena for all that information as well. If you handle this right I think you stand a VERY good chance of getting the laptop back. The biggest problem is figuring out the first step, once you have a trail to follow the rest is simple.
- MAdaXe42, on 10/12/2007, -9/+146They're Brits. Only british pikies are a) that dumb and b) that ugly.
Ah - in fact, there's a picture with a stack of £20 notes in it. - Wezlanator, on 10/12/2007, -70/+205***** stole my macbook.
- norbiu, on 10/12/2007, -2/+92Is she smoking pot ? http://www.flickr.com/photos/topshop/443835771/
- cbabraham, on 10/12/2007, -7/+95
So, how do you set up this automatic upload to flickr? - tomj88, on 10/12/2007, -2/+88http://www.flickr.com/photos/topshop/431513560/in/set-72157600047128433/ and are they snorting coke?
- rohanch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+81Does Flickr record the IP address of uploads? That would be very useful in getting it back.
- TriZz, on 10/12/2007, -5/+81http://farm1.static.flickr.com/219/443834475_0f28722de3.jpg?v=0 -- She's begging for it.
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/224/443835771_a7a363eaed.jpg?v=0 -- Illegal. Get them for possession also! (Don't read into that too much. I like the pot as much as anyone else) - thatsmyaibo, on 10/12/2007, -5/+80I can help. I'm getting a RAGING clue right now.
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -4/+72Carnival employees stole it.
- cavie2002, on 10/12/2007, -2/+64no... i haven't seen anyone with 3 eyes or 2 heads recently
- TheSevenDuffs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+58If it appeared a few weeks after, those people might have bought it from a pawn shop or something. The real thief probably sold it as fast as he could
- Joe_rigby, on 10/12/2007, -2/+56Contact police. Police contact flickr. Flickr gives police IP. Police contact ISP. ISP contacts subscriber. Subscriber gets a court date.
- whiteyMcBrown, on 10/12/2007, -3/+53I'm waiting for twirled boobs. Until then, no digg.
- homersaysdoh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+49Haha! I know these people are gonna see this and be like "Oh shiiiiiiiiit!"

A clever hoax, perhaps? - pete10203, on 10/12/2007, -2/+40cocaine is a hell of a drug
- headzoo, on 10/12/2007, -10/+46How would giving the city help? You either recognize these people or your don't.
I don't think the submitter is asking people to go patrol the streets, stopping each person, and comparing their face to these photos. If these are people you know, then turn them in. - razrielle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+34she has the face for the industry
- norbiu, on 10/12/2007, -5/+37No idea but her hair looks like *****!
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -2/+34I'd hit it too but with a bat or metal pole.

http://www.otierney.net/flickrbooth - MAdaXe42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29@anita - that's pounds sterling - English money. Not roubles.
- Phocion55, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30Hope you catch the thieving whores. Keep us updated!
- MAdaXe42, on 10/12/2007, -2/+29They're in London - look at the other photos - LFW - London Fashion Week - so it was nicked about two weeks ago, in central London.
Also, Top Shop is a british clothing chain, so it was nicked from a Top Shop - most likely the one on oxford street, if it was a LFW promo. - codyman, on 10/12/2007, -4/+31yeah cause then she could steal your heart, followed by your wallet
- daybreaker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27they need to give those pics to their local police. believe it or not, the police are actually pretty good at tracking down criminals. Especially Sting.
- khag7, on 10/12/2007, -16/+42I'd hit it.
- evanwalsh, on 05/04/2008, -2/+27Flickr. Not Flicker.
Vowels are Web 1.0 :P - jus1haz2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25with a truck
- adamlaz2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24From the looks of her, probably laced with Meth.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24god those people are disgusting.
- Disodium, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24dosent make it any less stolen
- robellis, on 10/12/2007, -5/+27I'm getting a RAGING clue right now ;)
- samcrut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22What manpower? Give the info to the cops. The cops contact Flicker. Flicker pulls the IP address used to post the pix. Police contact ISP with a warrant. ISP gives cops an apartment number. Cops get another warrant and bust thieves. Easy as pie! It could be wrapped up in maybe 2 days if everybody is cooperative.
- hagbard72, on 10/12/2007, -4/+26A pic of someone smoking pot, now the cops will take an interest. Its not like their in the business of protecting people's property.
- wounded625, on 10/12/2007, -11/+32god. whats with everybody getting mad when someone makes a "racist" joke. they can be funny. just laugh at yourself and other people sometime. it would make the whole world a better place.
- jotty, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22the money isnt russian, its british pounds ££
- digga, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Why do people keep saying "Russian money"? For one thing, it has words written in English -- that should give you a clue!
- HunterTV, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Can't the police have Flickr trace back the IP or something?
I mean I'm sure the site gets a ***** of uploads a day, but if they watch the account...?
*doesn't know enough about this sort of thing* - titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17No freaking way they would advertise their clothes on such ugly people.
- greatblackowl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Teehee!
English looks like Russian when upside down and backwards. What you thought was Russian was actually the word "Bank."
You win the genius of the night award. - kitwaites, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17@hagbard72:
Smoking pot in the UK is practically legal - if the police catch you, they confiscate it, and that's it. Theft is more serious. -
