- jayrok, on 08/01/2008, -3/+5Still better than a strong one. Yikes.
- LongShlong, on 08/01/2008, -26/+5You know, I was going to go as far as using the backpack line, but, I'm going to call this whole thing on both of us... Those jokes were already used by some lame comedian on the nonthreatening Canadian network, 'Just for Laughs."

- jabberwolf, on 08/01/2008, -4/+5Woz had te brains and style.
Jobs still no brains and taking credit for other people's work to this very day.- barnett25, on 08/01/2008, -0/+3Yes, but he also provides the single mindedness that keeps the company focused.
- kraetos, on 08/01/2008, -1/+1I want that belt.

- Mizzike, on 08/01/2008, -0/+7Ever since the new recommendation engine came into use, I've been seeing less and less of babyman and a more balanced spread of stories. Could be just me, though.
...Then again, I just checked the front page. (Thanks new digg comment system for letting me come back and edit!) Two stories from the baby, and two from maki. 26% of the front page is top submitters. The rest? I'm not going to check their profiles, but I sure don't recognize the names.
OK, so I just checked the front page... several more were friends with baby, and every one of their friends were "active now!" oh well. time for sleep. Thanks again digg comment system!- benologist, on 08/01/2008, -1/+6It gets much higher than that... at one point babyman, msaleem and makimaki had 9 stories on the front page between them.
- Coffeedemon, on 08/01/2008, -1/+8You can do what I do and not pay attention to who submitted it.
- sliggy, on 08/01/2008, -1/+2Stolen from reddit.
- Mizzike, on 08/01/2008, -0/+7Ever since the new recommendation engine came into use, I've been seeing less and less of babyman and a more balanced spread of stories. Could be just me, though.
- BehnoodMarvazi, on 08/01/2008, -4/+70what the *****, steve jobs wears shirts that are not black?
- griz, on 08/01/2008, -1/+1This is probably the look that prompted him to rethink his wardrobe and go to black shirt and jeans.
- soupdawg30, on 08/01/2008, -0/+2Only on Tuesdays in February.

- kingfoot, on 08/01/2008, -3/+3i bet that board still runs... famous enough to be taken a picture with, famous enough to keep somewhere.
- genYretardbrat, on 08/01/2008, -1/+2IIRC, according to iWoz, the book, Jobs actually did some soldering and such for the early Apple 1s.
1) I'm sure he knew it wasn't a big deal.
2) It was a bad board.
3) He didn't give a *****.
:-) - griz, on 08/01/2008, -2/+1WOZ was thinking..."I'll hand him the side of the board with the giant capacitors on it and I'll own 100% of this company"
- pensel, on 08/01/2008, -2/+1He learned all technical details as he played the game and I still ***** love it.

- YancyFryJr, on 08/01/2008, -9/+70Even way back then, he was a douche. It's all about staying true to your roots, folks.

- sark666, on 08/01/2008, -1/+6Sigh what a sad comment. Please learn who "The Woz" is and hang your head in shame and promptly come back here and apologize.

Zing!
*gets dugg down for the truth*- Gatesophile, on 08/01/2008, -2/+4And yet here you are.
- seiga, on 08/01/2008, -2/+1@Gatesophile
The layout of Digg is best of breed (kudos to the designers) and much of the content intersects that of other websites, so it works as a quick stop.
But I find many of the results of the fundamentally populist 'digging' system to be.. about what one should expect from something that is fundamentally populist (or democratic, to use a more loaded term).
The groupthink here is more virulent than that of Slashdot, and about 10 times more schizophrenic.
- econofast, on 08/01/2008, -1/+2The (wo)man has a point...
- seiga, on 08/01/2008, -5/+6Except Jobs didn't invent the douchiest site in the world.

- sjdvda, on 08/01/2008, -15/+2Exactly, even back then Apple was better than microsoft.
- Grazfather, on 08/01/2008, -4/+7You know that mug shot was for him speeding a luxury car, right?
bad ass in my books.- PhillyMJS, on 08/01/2008, -0/+6IIRC from the story I read, that mug shot is from an arrest when Microsoft was based in Albuquerque, NM. He got pulled over for speeding in an expensive car (a Porsche, I think), and between his young age, the value of his car and the fact that he had so much cash on him, the cops assumed he was a drug dealer and took him into custody until they could sort it out.
- dreamparacite, on 08/01/2008, -1/+8Exactly, Bill is badass, Steve...not so much.
- mranostay, on 08/01/2008, -1/+3Seriously who smiles for mugshots?

Ah, the good old days... Ok, now let me get back to mowing lawns for a living. - Grikkith, on 08/01/2008, -0/+2A challenger has appeared!
- aenima987, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1What a pimp.

- gooch3803, on 08/01/2008, -9/+3And the Woz knows there is no cool like being the ugliest mother ***** in the world.
- gthyb, on 08/01/2008, -5/+6The history of Apple = the life of Steve Jobs = The future of my slowly balding hair.
- aristotle0dude, on 08/01/2008, -11/+6So a douche bag is someone who gets chicks? I'd rather be a douche bag than a "cool" digger.
- Puttzy, on 08/01/2008, -1/+1congrats on hitting your goal
- artfuldodga, on 08/01/2008, -13/+8already reddit

- loopyloopy, on 08/01/2008, -3/+4the Fonz was there first
- rosekevin, on 08/01/2008, -3/+17a popped collar may be cool... but not Apple belt buckle cool
- jayrok, on 08/01/2008, -4/+7Give him a tan and send him to Jersey!
- madpuppy, on 08/01/2008, -2/+3like the Italian kid from my science project.....
- nonsequitur668, on 08/01/2008, -18/+4Guns? Absence of religion? Lack of self-esteem? Poor parenting? The entertainment industry? Who's to blame for Steve Jobs's pea-brained outbursts? Numerous professionals (and not-so-professionals) have speculated and mulled, publicly and privately, over what has caused Steve to create a world sunk in the most abject superstition, fanaticism, and ignorance. To get immediately to the point, he dances to the tune of chthonic irrationalism. Once we realize that, what do we do? The appropriate thing, in my judgment, is to lift our nation from the quicksand of injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. I say that because feebleminded dips break the mind and spirit, castrate the character, and kill the career of anyone whose ideas he deems to be dour. That said, we mustn't lose sight of who the real enemy is: Steve Jobs and his contumelious admirers.
As I've said before, Steve occasionally shows what appears to be warmth, joy, love, or compassion. You should realize, however, that these positive expressions are more feigned than experienced and invariably serve an ulterior motive, such as to steal the fruits of other people's labor. His victims have been speaking out for years. Unfortunately, their voices have long been silenced by the roar and thunder of Steve's cheerleaders, who loudly proclaim that Steve understands the difference between civilization and savagery. Regardless of those snappish proclamations, the truth is that he contends that principles don't matter. Excuse me, but where exactly did this little factoid come from? Lastly, I can't end this letter without mentioning that evidence exists to suggest that Steve Jobs spews out so many falsehoods, distortions, and half-truths, that rebuttal requires some lengthy documentation.- Zippo, on 08/01/2008, -0/+8Dude, we all know you have to try and justify that Arts degree, but seriously - go outside.
- samimnot, on 08/01/2008, -5/+3Author has to be extremely desperate for attention...this is the 4th. time I've seen this picture "with similar headline" today!
- tehjarvis, on 08/01/2008, -3/+4It's the usual Digg crowd that's gathering stories off reddit and putting them on here hoping to get front paged.
Or, the typical MrBabyMan submission.
Whichever you want to call it.
NOTE: I don't hate MrBabyMan at all. It's just an observation.
- tehjarvis, on 08/01/2008, -3/+4It's the usual Digg crowd that's gathering stories off reddit and putting them on here hoping to get front paged.
- jerrycurley, on 08/01/2008, -4/+6ahead of the curve? Yup...he looked like a social outcast long before most people did.
