- ladyarcher85, on 10/11/2007, -12/+218This was the first iphone review that didn't make me want to shoot the person who reviewed it lol
- missingnoh4x, on 10/11/2007, -6/+159I saw that the other day. Win. Really, given all his begging I'm surprised Apple hasn't given him one. "I've been sitting by my mailbox for ages waiting for my free iPhone, and all I got was some stupid book!" [Holds up copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows] "Spoiler alert: Hermione's a dude."
- IEatHamburgers, on 10/11/2007, -3/+134"Stephen Colbert reviews the iPhone"
A title tailor-made to get instant diggs. - rockoutloud, on 10/11/2007, -4/+55Very funny! Apple is getting more publicity by NOT giving Colbert an iphone! I wonder if John Stewart got one..
- yingjai, on 10/11/2007, -0/+51The only iPhone post that I'm digging. Stephen's just too cool.
- h2g242, on 10/11/2007, -1/+28Since he threw it on the floor... is he going to be able to find it now?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+30iPhone is NOT "widescreen" as Apple keeps saying. It is NOT 16:9 (or for that matter, 16:10). It's not as "wide" as them and therefore it is unsuitable for viewing a full 16:9 TV image.
The display has a 480-by-320-pixel resolution according to Apple.com, which makes it 3:2. This of course means it is a complete non-standard for video content and will be unable to render 16:9 or 4:3 videos without adding black bars or cropping and zooming. - twiceasworn, on 10/11/2007, -5/+27@agentfox
its just you. colbert is great. - MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -1/+21I like how at the end of the video the iFilm thing came up and was like, you may also enjoy these videos: "Biggest Breasts".
- doogie68, on 10/11/2007, -3/+19Stephen Colbert has a better sense of "funny" than you. That's why he's on TV and getting his videos posted on digg and you're simply getting dugg down.
- pheil, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17Comedy Central link to the video: http://www.comedycentral.com/motherload/index.jhtml?ml_video=89233
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+20You don't like him because he makes fun of conservatives, we get it.
- digjedi, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Yeah, and I clicked it!!!
- WiseWeasel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12We don't take kindly to your kind around here...
- CyberDesyner, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13Full time and 1 year tenure part timers are in July. Jobs just announced it at a company meeting.
- techlinks, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11You could use the MY#1 feature. :P
But yes, I do agree. Ending was awesome. - rhyno2000, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11I also wonder if JON Stewart received one...
- logicalnoise, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12just you
- demiurgency, on 10/21/2007, -4/+13It's you. You're just not very funny.
Seriously, Colbert is hilarious, but his humor may not be for everyone (but really, whose humor is?) - Noncentz, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12Yeah If Jobs was on the show that would be big... fukin BIG.... unless of course Paris Hilton got scheduled the same night .........................
- neau, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9480x320=153600, so what?
- atbnet, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Yeah because it's virtually unknown now...
- seniorfrito, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10LOL what if after all these books they came out with that. Maybe like the very last page JK Rowlings wrote, PS Hermione's a Dude. Seriously my jaw would drop. I'd be like...wha?
- kyledavis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Exactly what I was thinking. The OP just needed to add "with Ubuntu legalizing marijuana in Iraq....Bush sucks."
- CyberDesyner, on 10/11/2007, -8/+14I'll give you the video recording neglection if you would actually dare calling what you record on a RAZR video. But as for the others: What makes 16:9 a "stupid aspect ratio" may I ask? Don't see the point of the cost exaggeration and finally what's your point about the size when it's in the range of most Blackberries and business smartphones which it's competing against after all.
- jmahorney, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7If I were Apple I would send this man an iphone first thing. Could there be a better promotion? The Colbert bump ain't no joke! If Steve jobs was smart he'd go on the show!
- maherjabr, on 10/11/2007, -6/+12Quit your cryin
- nodonoug, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8He's a reporter satirizing the news of the day.
If you're smart enough to tell the sarcasm from the news, he actually brings up a lot of things that most other news outlets are afraid to touch (same goes for Jon Stewart). - coasterswim, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8You may say it's unsuitable for viewing full 16:9 TV image, but it is MORE suitable than a 4:3 screen.
- NiteTrip, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9Some people need to TAKE THE ***** STICK OUT OF THEIR ASS and enjoy life. You can laugh even if something isn't hilariously funny.
- Queue29, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6You're thinking of CNN
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Its NOT 16:9. Even a cursory glance at any iPhone image should tell you that!
- jrbrewin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5he said ratio. not ration.
- stoobywon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4amen to that
- richardiscool, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Just like my MS Smartphone revolutionised society 3 years ago, with twice the features?
- underburn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Stephen Colbert doesnt cry.
- myheaditches, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5The reply button, learn to use it.
- atbnet, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I realize that and find it funny that The Daily Show and the Colbert Report are more informative than regular news because they say what other stations would fire their anchors over.
- webmasterjoe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4You know those props are his own things, right? He decides what text should show up on the side while he also decides what he'll say. If he was just holding up a tricycle and saying how funny it is, then you'd have a point. But, just like anyone else who works in entertainment, he is delivering a whole package based on the medium he works in. Disqualifying some elements of the package by calling them "props" is unfair.
- iamasmallgoat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4and I honestly don't think that Colbert would want to interview Paris.
- s1mph0ny, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It's always been about apple and ubuntu. Apple doesn't have anything else going on now, and the only new thing about ubuntu is getting it on your dell.
- in2deep, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3The coverage of the iPhone is so in your face I cant remember any topic that received such coverage recently....what would you compare this type of coverage to?
- Buckiller, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Your right... I think Ron Paul needs some more exposure.
- oscotto, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Youtube... no freaking commercials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-ZSlGwD2cg
- sully213, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I don't really know how it's related to the iPhone, but at the end of the video iFilm said "You might also like "Biggest Breasts"....why yes, yes I do like the biggest breasts ;) Boy this artificial intelligence stuff is getting better every day :)
- missingnoh4x, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3YOU'RE dead to him now.
- webmasterjoe, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Ooh, look at this, it's the culmination of all that is great about fighting on the internet.
No, YOU ARE! - WiseWeasel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4It's a 2:3 ratio, 320x480...
- StingingNettle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yeah and if Jobs was REALLY smart he would appear on the show himself to hand it to Colbert
- Zackypooh, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4I already saw this on a little something called the television, but I have to digg anything with Stephen Colbert in it...
