- wild, on 10/12/2007, -19/+100Innovative my ass. Try the TuneBuckle:
http://www.tunebuckle.com/Products.htm
Now thats a think different. ;) - TimDigg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+80What's shocking is that it doesn't cost $35
19.99!!!
I recently got a 30gb ipod video for my 24th b-day, I'm amazed at how expensive the cases are - antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -14/+81You make your own headphones?
- mrfreeziexp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+57Hmm, that's pretty cool! Do we know if it protects the screen as well? I am so sick of ipod cases that don't have screen protectors. That's the most important part!

- edzieba, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30BOSE: Buy Other Sound Equipment.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+30I hate the iPod headphones. I just use my own.
- ionbattle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+28no highs, no lows, that's bose.
- joshpowell, on 10/12/2007, -6/+32Bose.. quality? In the same sentence?
- DooM, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20It's like almost the exact same thing only more expensive and ugly. Thanks!
- enforce1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18It seems like this could go over well.
People like those white earphones. They hurt my ears... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Buried for not having AWESOME and BREAKING in the title. Please learn how to submit properly to Digg.
- nottidredd, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20i love how all these comments have noting to do with the parent
- EagleTG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Distinct lack of CAPS in the title, too. Tisk, tisk.
- emceepecks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13because they are white
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+20When I saw that picture...I was shocked!
- ChrisWickenscom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11And what if you want to use headphones that actually have GOOD audio quality?
- nateboom, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12I've had a pair of headphones that were shocking... literally
If I walked around with my mp3 player in my pocket too much the static electricity travel would through the cord and shock me right in the ear. Ouch! Needless to say... well I still use them, actually. - behn1220, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Good question...the headphones included by Apple are the most awful headphones I've ever heard. I couldn't use them for more that a few seconds. When I was a kid I made a "2 tin cans attached by a string" phone that sounded better.
- brlittle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8No doubt. My first case had the protector, the current one doesn't, and the difference has been quite noticeable.
- strabes, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9@moley: They're not overpriced if they're dual driver, unlike the headphones you posted. You can't buy good headphones for $15.
- hadimirza, on 03/26/2008, -1/+7I would DEFINITELY get the TuneBuckle, but no Video support
- listrophy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8There is a price for fashion. I refuse to pay it.
Instead of paying for fashion with pain, I pay cash for quality: my iPod powers Shure earphones. - eth3l, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Whats shocking is that THIS article is front page.
- RiverBelow, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8@Generalfier
Wanna know a secret? iPod Videos play music too, with more space! - nateboom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I wouldn't really call that innovative.
Greg Dean at reallifecomics.com has been making an earbud winder that attaches to the back of an ipod for a little while now. Check out his store and support the little guy!! - hadimirza, on 03/26/2008, -1/+5Why not just get Invisible Shield? It protects every part of your iPod, without making it look bulky, like this "shocking" case. And, plus, it's available for ALL iPods, most phones, pda's and other electronics. I have invisible shield on my 30gb black video, and i love it, no scratches, and come with lifetime warranty.
- demonotaku, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's a really good idea. Unfortunately, I use over the ear headphones because I don't like jamming earbuds into my ears.
- Xspire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I am baffled at why this is shocking, I figured they had already made something even more efficient than this.
- lockedon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah too bad it only works for ipod headphones because mine broke so that's no use to me.
- SuperSnake2012, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I want this case but it isn't available for the 80 gig... very disappointing. :(
- terrachronos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Not news, cases like this have been around for quite awhile now. I've had mine for over a year so this is old and not front-page worth at all.
- pyro1149, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What is so shocking? It is a normal case with some crap on the back.
- gr3yn3t, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2^Agree. BestSkinsEver work just as good as invisible shields
- Cmain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I've tried Best Skins Ever which is like Invisible Shield but much cheaper. Eventually I took it off and bought a Capdase Soft Jacket which I love: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod/review/capdase-soft-jacket-for-5g-ipods/ The Best Skin Ever gets to look crappy after a while but protected everything really well. My new case also seems to protect well and has a nice hard screen protector.
- Braxo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@ timdigg
Apple resellers do not make a profit at all on ipods. In fact, a store like circuit city buys ipods from apple for $297.99 and then sell them at $299.99. (Or whatever the price is). But if they sell a $35 case with it, they will make $33 extra because they case only costs them 2 bucks to buy from a manufacturer. - CogitatorX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'll stick with the iSkin. Better screen protection.
- BobaFettTDG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Anybody else notice that the stored headphones totally look like a music note?
Very very clever. - insovietrussia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Then you go the Apple care site and claim a new pair on warranty. I got mine in 2 days.
- joegibes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Lol I think this is one of maybe 5 or 10 cases that hold your earphones.
It IS too bad that it it's only meant for the new iPod headphones, because my JVC HA-FX33 Marshmallows are so much better. - elhaf, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4More shocking: the iGoatse (SFW):
http://www.extraneo.it/goatse/goatse_ipod_skin.html - thesixthdesign, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It also honestly makes your iPod look hideous.
I've realized I don't really like cases.
People buy iPod cases because they're afraid that the pretty interface will scratch up, but I'd honestly rather show off the pretty slightly-scratched iPod then cover it with some strange-looking silicone case.
But maybe its just me. - strabes, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3How do people actually use the included ipod headphones? They're so bad. And what happens when they break like mine did after a couple months?
- razrielle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I got a pair of skullcandy earbuds for around 10 bucks and their the best headphones ive ever owned
- MonkeyFondue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No one cares about Linkin Park. Stop posting links to their site.
- EagleTG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That's hot.
Excuse me, I have to go vomit now. I mean I've seen Tron guy before... just not from that angle. - lawrra, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3That isn't entirely innovative. There are several iPod cases similar to this on the market.
And if you're looking for a decent pair of headphones, don't waste your money with Bose. If you want some quality sound from headphones check out this link to find a set of cans, canalphones, or IEM's to suit your ear: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=2 - h3ndrix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Where I would normally leave a comment about hating the iPod, this case is pretty sexy.
