I had a friend who scammed in similar manners for roughly 5-7 years, he was finally caught when he took it a bit too far and the police ended up monitoring the drop site on the companies word and he violated his own rule of picking up the merchandise during the day. Apple would only detect such an "attack" if they had thought to monitor for such behavior. Things like RMA pages are not usually considered security vulnerabilities, so they're not monitored as closely as other types of pages.
Alert and monitoring systems are only as good as the forethought you put into them. If you don't think to monitor something you won't get alerted when fishy things go on. - whatusay879, on 03/23/2009, -7/+9Dugg for Apple being screwed.
