I'm not a Kevin Rose fanboy, but I do however respect the fact that if it weren't for him there'd be no digg. - BugMeNot2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Apple isn't suing K. Rose because Apple likes K. Rose?
His podcast is like, #1 you know... - thatedeguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The way to handle that is to no longer invite kevin rose to any events and to stop sending him things. Of course Kevin does have a small following of fans, so you risk alienating a few people, but thats the way the cookie crumbles.

http://www.distroofthemonth.com - hybrid8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0why does it matter? Apple sues and M$ gets sued. Noone cares. Freedom of information! it is the hacker belief so stfu!

Apple issued invitations which Kevin obtained and blatantly disclosed to the public. It was wrong and he's a tool for doing it. This is in no part Apples fault. See Kevins blog for details: http://www.kevinrose.com/ .
By the way your use of "there" should be "their"... grammar error - a true sign of a Kevin Rose fanboy. - hyper7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I believe that I speak for everyone on digg when I say, ***** those douchebags."
Obviously not Kevin Rose is the "douchebag" for leaking info. - mdweezer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Febryle -
"Apple has some suing to do" - febryle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0RTFA--it doesn't suggest that Kevin be sued at all. All it says is that Apple's suing other sites (like ThinkSecret) and clearly their strategy isn't working.
- mdweezer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Because he started Digg gives him the right to abuse information about a product launch to give his own site an exclusive?
I love Digg and contribute all I can but that doesn't mean I support poor judgment calls like this by him because if it weren't for him there would be no Digg. - mdweezer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0haha keep that attitude hybrid; it'll get you places
- mdweezer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hmmm what on earth is the threshold for this story to be posted? A few stories with 30 diggs have been posted already. I'd like to see a breakdown of how the posting process works.
- valmendarez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sorry but K. Rose didnt start digg, did he ? I thought his friend did? He helped.
- digman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dont like Kevin rose, but this person who thinks apple should sue kevin and others is nothing but a turd sandwich.
- valmendarez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was just letting the other people know asshat. But thanx for being the typical let me flame this guy before some one else does guy, because with out you we would forget how small your piece reall is.
- Mark_H, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How is giving early publicity a thing worth suing over? Apple may have the right to be suing their fans, but they shouldn't be. This is no worse than some of the petty Microsoft lawsuits that Apple lovers find time to complain about. And, by the way, this would not be the first time that Apple has done this...

Apple lawsuit against product info leakers--December, 2004 - mindsinker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mdweezer -
I wasn't aware that "Apple issued invitations which Kevin obtained and blatantly disclosed to the public." In that case then Apple probably should sue Kevin Rose and remove him from further invites. I thought he got info from an insider that worked for Apple. One other thing, the "M" in mindsinker is lowercase. - brucebeh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think Kevin rose got special "privilege" from apple to do that, otherwise, apple would've sued him already, they won't wait till us normal people complain about it.
- jasqwerty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ehh, it wasn't the smartest of things to do if he wants to stay on Apple's good side, but I even heard this of CNBC over the weekend, so sorry Kevin, but I can't say I even 'heard it here first', more like almost last. :-)
But if it was up to me, sue away Apple, your zealots won't mind, and that's all you have and hopefully that's all you will ever have. :-p - mdweezer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I couldn't wait for the Kevin Rose fanboys to come out and bitch about this. Apple should just cut Kevin Rose from any future special events. Kevin Rose is not special and him giving information out when it's a obvious leak is not right. Shame on you Kevin Rose.
- Brak710101, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0"Sorry but K. Rose didnt start digg, did he ? I thought his friend did? He helped."
No he did make it. Techphile episode 13 explains it all. Research something moron. - mindsinker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Right on KidVicious. If Apple needs to sue anyone it's the people within there company that are the leaking the info. F'them.
- KidVicious, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I belive that I speak for everyone on digg when I say, ***** those douchebags.
