- AshamedAmerican, on 11/19/2008, -0/+51Right now a team of iNinjas are being deployed...
- StigNordas, on 11/19/2008, -4/+35What a rip off. Unless of course there's some kind of collectable value.
- inactive, on 11/19/2008, -2/+30Awesome article. would read again! A+++
- teh_spazz, on 11/19/2008, -2/+25When I was working at Intel, I was in a Mac development lab. The developers were working on transitioning OS X to x86 architecture. One of the "machines" was a "Medi-Mac". Basically a portable unit that could be taken around the lab. It was a Macbook prototype that I wished I could have grabbed a picture of. The keyboard was the most distinctive thing about it, I had never seen one on a mac. All in all, a cool little device.
- duggdowncatisad, on 11/19/2008, -3/+19What if it's stolen property?
- AnalogAssassin, on 11/19/2008, -2/+18Apple can 'ask' all it wants about where they got it, but the seller sure as hell isn't obligated to give them an answer.
- teh_spazz, on 11/19/2008, -1/+15It was high school and it was just an internship. I'm doing bigger and better things now....with science!
- 1807, on 11/19/2008, -0/+9I am glad someone posted that, I had forgotten all about the Macbook Air.
- ckmorita, on 11/19/2008, -0/+9I'm sure that it will have collectable value. Other than that seems like a worse version of the real thing.
- infinitus64, on 11/19/2008, -0/+8then they would get their "answer" infront of jury.
- tms8707056, on 11/19/2008, -0/+7Does it come with AppleCare?
- alphonse221, on 11/19/2008, -0/+5If we were in prison, i'd protect you in the shower. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED A++++++
- Hodor, on 11/19/2008, -2/+7I think it's probably stolen.
and, even if it wasn't, it might end up being apple property in perpetuity due to its status as a production sample. - evilesttoast, on 11/19/2008, -0/+5What?
- castleking, on 11/19/2008, -0/+4uhh if this laptop is apple's property, then at one point or another it became stolen goods, which means that it still belongs to apple.
- thscientist1, on 11/19/2008, -3/+7in digg apple>anything else
- AnalogAssassin, on 11/19/2008, -0/+4If it's stolen, then a police report should be filed and the proper authorities do the questioning. Not Apple.
And there's none of this "apple property in perpetuity" crap, I think you people believe that Apple is bigger than what they are. It would seem they are turning into the Big Brother from the earliest Macintosh ad. - chubbybubba, on 11/19/2008, -0/+3Unless they can prove it was stolen, Apple can't do crap.
- hollywoodphony, on 11/19/2008, -2/+5Oh please, nobody would buy a computer with meager specs like that. Fake!
- futurepastnow, on 11/19/2008, -0/+3A lot of Apple employees take prototype machines home and use them. They aren't allowed to sell them, of course. That would probably violate all sorts of NDA's and confidentiality agreements, even if the protos are nothing special compared to production versions.
- MedicalMatt, on 11/19/2008, -0/+312/31/00??

- davidlow, on 11/19/2008, -0/+3Does it come with Back-To-My-Stolen-Mac?
- loper, on 11/19/2008, -0/+3If they never sold it then..

De
Doo! - lowdose, on 11/19/2008, -1/+3Never forget...
- dreman, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2I'm sure Apple knows the legal way to things if they chose... Or as Ralph once noted, I Choo-choo-choose you.
- johnpaul191, on 11/19/2008, -1/+3It's likely that Apple will get it back. They never release that stuff, so it's got to be stolen. A few years ago there was a red Apple motherboard from a (i think?) G4 tower on ebay. the red mobos are the test ones, and that auction was ended pretty abruptly.
- crossmr, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1first you need to buy a vowel...
- yeskia, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1Is your name AnalogAssassin?
- mousouchop, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1What kind of Mac employee doesn't have a digg account?
Your account was created on Nov. 1, 2008. Nice try troll.
Maybe you can work for Pixar with that imagination of yours. :x - kenvsryu, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2macgasm
- inactive, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2How am I suppose to breath with no macbookair....
- AriaStar, on 11/19/2008, -8/+9I kind of wish I owned it. Would be cool to brag about.
- ShoulderKnight, on 11/19/2008, -12/+13oh who gives a sh%t
- Vincent21212, on 11/19/2008, -3/+3Yeah, uh.... no. Think harder. May 2007 is a hint.
- mendeznoel20, on 11/19/2008, -4/+3I stole it. I used to work with apple on creating the Mac Air and they developed some prototypes. When I was laid off, I took a prototype home and sold it to a good friend of mines because I hate Macs. Whatever happened from there on....i dont know.
- mikastefania, on 01/03/2009, -0/+0Last!
http://www.kaboodle.com/ontario_seed_bank - computershack, on 11/19/2008, -4/+0Grow up and stop acting like a 10 year old.
- OHGAlpha, on 11/19/2008, -8/+2I bet 4chan is going to try and ransom it.
- roxgod666, on 11/19/2008, -9/+2Why would you not want to own it? He sold it for $730, the price will probably triple when Apple starts selling it.
