- PixelKid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That logitech keyboard is the hotness, but I was expecting more along the lines of some cool stickers like you can get for the mac mini :)
- macluvjay, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I dissagree, the keyboard was my least favorite of them all. I want the 24" UltraSharp. Now THAT is hot!
- jonknee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I have it and it makes such a huge difference in my work flow. When I'm on the road I feel unproductive just using the laptop screen. Worth every penny.
- betobeto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah, that Dell screen is the hawtness. Didn't know a Macbook could be able to handle a screen of that size. Wow.
- BabyWookie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2$215 is the best deal they could find on 2GB of RAM? Wow. I just got two 1 GB sticks of Patriot DDR2-667 from NewEgg for like $73 each. By the way, 2 GB of RAM is not magically going to make OS-X run faster, but does make a nice difference if you work with lots of large images like me. iPhoto is a big memory hog. I once caught it using 850 MB. Photoshop, running under Rosetta likes a lot of memory too.
- mendezbeck, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0pressed the wrong reply
- verucasalt, on 10/12/2007, -15/+3Guys, we are on the verge of World War 3 and all you can think about is how to "pimp" your "gear"?
GET SOME PRIORITIES PEOPLE- kevinmotel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12its gonna be a hell of a ride to hell people. might as well do it in style
- bebop717, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You have been watching too much CNN. Ok WW III starts, the world still turns, computers are still being made, life goes on.
- Vermifax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It's not ALL we can think about. It's just that.....it is all we're thinking about now. On this post. This article.
Don't worry. WW3 is still coming. - vondur, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Sweet, I was wondering when we would get some of the classic Slashdot trolls in here!
- angelp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@verucasalt - Ummm....so why did u digg the story then?
- BabyWookie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have the older 24" UltraSharp, the 2405FPW. I hook my PC up to its DVI connector and hook my MacBook Pro to the D-Sub one, switching between the two. It's fairly impressive, but it's hard to get that perfect calibration with it. The black levels kind of suck. That stuff is important to me because I work with digital images. I wonder if the new one is much better.
- Universal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What? No [white or black]] Axio Hardsleeve SM? It matches perfectly with the MacBook.
- dark1152, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3DO NOT GET THE INCASE NEOPRENE SLEEVE!!! It has been known to scratch the finish of Macbooks due to the zippers. Tucano makes a neoprene sleeve that corects this by adding a seperat flap that protects the Macbook from the zipper.
- ndm007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I can vouch for this. The Tucano Second Skin's have a soft lip all around the edges, and an extra flap to slide the MacBook (or Pro) in there. Tucano make by far the best sleeves for notebooks, regardless of size or brand.
- smith1dp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That is rediculous, I have the Incase sleeve and there is no way that the zipper could scratch the computer. There are two lips on the sleeve that protect it. Its one of the best cases I've seen
- mshobe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've got the sleeve (in a romantic, throwback 70s rusty red) and I can't see how the zipper can possibly scratch the case. This has quickly become my favorite laptop holster.
- pkulak, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Don't get WinXP Pro. What do you need SMP for when it's only going to see one core anyway? Are you planning on going to another Windows machine and remotely connecting to the virtual Windows machine on you laptop? Yea, probably not. Pick up Home on NewEgg for 88 bucks.
- jonknee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I got the Pro just because of that. You never know when you want to remotely connect. I've been able to let friends of mine finally test their sites on IE via Remote Desktop, they just log in over the internet. If you have more than one computer it the house it's great. The Mac client works really well too.
- nacs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I got the Pro just because of that. You never know when you want to remotely connect."
Use VNC (free) and save a bunch of money. - thatsiebguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Connect to an Active Directory network that also uses Exchange? Yea, didn't think so.. And no, I cannot use Parallels because our wireless network uses LEAP so binding to the network adaptor doesn't work, nor in host mode after 10.4.7.
- horrortaxi, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1From their front page: "Uncrate is a web magazine for guys who love stuff. Our team finds the best gadgets, clothes, cars and more so you can blow your rent money easier. Updated daily."
Maybe I'm a weirdo, but I think I'd rather decide what accesories I need for my computer rather than listening to an online magazine whose stated purpose is merely to show me ways to irresponsibly spend my money. Also, speaking as a Mac user, that's about the most un-Mac list of crap I've ever seen.- keylargodave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Awwww....you're no fun at all.
- betobeto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@horrortaxi - Please don't tell me you are taking that statement literally.
- erin027, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Hey I checked the site. It was cool but if anyone wants to digg MacBook Hard Shell Case, this is the place:
