Packs of m&ms bought from factory store have Apple logo stamped on them.
121.44.248.31 — "I picked up a box full from the Ballarat site earlier today, and inside were a few M&Ms packs, in unusually good condition. Halfway through them I found these... In each bag there are three or four M&Ms with the Apple logo stamped on them."
- 1081 diggs
- digg it
- Retuow, on 10/12/2007, -8/+45Rumor has it M&M is starting up a campaign: RED M&M's, sponsored by Apple :)
- Willy99, on 10/12/2007, -65/+13rumor has it Mars and Apple are starting an investment banking firm looking for sweet tech deals. It will be called M&M&A
- Powder, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11It would be possible. You can have them customized, check my link below.
- Flipsen, on 10/12/2007, -11/+32http://duggmirror.com
- Quix, on 10/12/2007, -11/+106And so it begins. Now Microsoft will have to counter with "MSM&M Premium Platinum Edition, now in brown!"
- dragonbladev, on 10/12/2007, -25/+3it finally makes sense, this is how i became a apple lover... ***** subliminal advertising.
- breezy, on 10/12/2007, -18/+1When can we buy these in the digg store?

- carguy84, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3No, they'd be white.
- josegutz, on 10/12/2007, -12/+5NO it's a contest. You win an IPOD for each M&M you find with an apple on it. But in order to claim, you have to go to your nearest Apple Store and Yell "I am an M&M fanatic!" and then you get your free Ipod...
*Only in participating Ipod retailers and while supplies last. - triska, on 10/12/2007, -12/+65It's fake cos this is the original real image
http://blog.tribbles.org/temp/realimage.jpg - MichelangeloPM, on 10/12/2007, -11/+5Thanks, but I'm not into S&M anymore.
- fernando26, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12As triska said, it looks like a fake, here is the original:
(uploaded to imageshack because triska's link was going ungodly slow and seemed about to go down)
http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/241/realimage1fc.jpg - SamKellett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Oh pur-lease...
- urbancommando, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Damn. He could have at least taken his own picture of some M&Ms. It looks like he just cropped the original.
OR
Is the "original" fake? Probably not. With the cropping and all. - OwdenBowden, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Whats the download capacity per M & M?
- sitemouse, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12triska said it was a fake image, but it looks like triska's image is the fake one. soz but u need to work on ur photoshop skillz
- Trenton, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah, next thing you know they are coming out with the apple flavored m&m's.. Doesn't sound appetizing to me
- panique, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1My first thought before clicking in here to read the comments was "hoax". I have to say though the "wisdom of the mob" is virtually useless and idiotic most of the time, digg does have a knack for debunking hoaxes in short order.
- kcpwnsgman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7next up, Jesus on an M&M
- Phlexus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10@ fernando & Triska:
Actually it seems as if the 'real' image is a fake. The 'M' is a different font than the rest of the M's in the picture. And it looks too clean...
Try inverting the image in Photoshop and you get a better idea of what I mean. - daurkin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12My god, how is it that someone knew there was an original image of a red and brown M&M on the web that this guy took and photoshop'd. What is the first thing you do, Google image the image to look for an original? or do you own the internet?
- luvkit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Notice the shadow in the Apple M&M on the right side of the screen. It's different from the real image. I'm not sure how easily that could be photoshopped in, but I just wanted to point it out.
- fulldecent, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@Phlexus
What version of Photoshop do you have? What with the uncrop and all. - thatsmyaibo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"No, Microsoft will make a chocolate company of its own to compete. Chocolate produced will melt in your hands, not in your mouth."
They will only have brown M&Ms - BlackAdderIII, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"""MSM&M Premium Platinum Edition, now in brown!"""
Haha yeah - but if you read the EULA, it will say "human systems where Microsoft M&Ms have been installed may be stopped from working (death) if unauthorised food content is consumed".
It'd be one hell of a way to enforce a diet :) - Awesomedude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2http://www.mymms.com/customprint/ Custom M&Ms
- Phlexus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0@ fulldecent: CS2, to invert image: ctrl-i
- turny27, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Uhmm..when you look at the image's source code, why does it say Adobe on the first line in both triska's and the OP's photos?
- urbancommando, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I think everyone keeps missing the point. We have people posting that these could be custom M&Ms and people who are saying the "original" is a fake. Please tell me how the "original", which has more of the image than the one with the apple logo on it, is a fake? Like I said in my last comment and the guy above me did... uncrop? "unpossible."
- GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+165iMelt in your mouth, not in your hands.
- FTLJohnson, on 10/12/2007, -37/+10iChocolate - I bet Verizon's gonna sue.

- greyfade, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1http://www.toyboxarts.com/gallery/extra/mbabes-iCandy1/mbabes.html
iCandy indeed.
- royall64, on 10/12/2007, -15/+6Photoshop, accident, or joke, you decide!
- wqwert, on 10/12/2007, -5/+72Neither. Apple probably ordered them for a party or an event. M&M made too many so they sell the surplus at the factory store.
- mikesbaker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17exactly - I have some with my initials on them.
- skoles, on 10/12/2007, -1/+107Every box I buy comes with my initials. It's crazy!
- Walter Wright - triska, on 10/12/2007, -21/+1Definitely photoshop, no doubt about it.
- urbancommando, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Wow. Too bad you posted your comment so soon. Some guy in the first thread says he found the "original." Now you guys have been dugg down for calling BS. Although the M in the "original" looks a little funny to me.
- sevenora, on 10/12/2007, -13/+3Those must be the ones that melt in your hands
- mehan, on 10/12/2007, -65/+10this is news? ..***** fanbois
- TheWedge, on 10/12/2007, -5/+77Yes, Avril.
- billisdog, on 10/12/2007, -28/+7I agree. Not as vulgarly so as you expressed yourself, but come on, people, SERIOUSLY. News?
Please don't read me the whole 'people are gonna digg up what they like and bury what they don't so if it's here on the front page that means it's news and who are you to challenge the crowd' riot act. I'm challenging the crowd. I'm calling BS on the idea that crap like this is news.
Tomorrow's article: WE SHOVE SOME OF THESE M&M's IN A WII AND IT BREAKS! ZOMG IS THERE BAD BLOOD BETWEEN NINTENDO/APPLE/HERSHEY THAT THEIR PRODUCTS COULD BE SO INCOMPATIBLE? - m3mn0n, on 10/12/2007, -16/+2I agree... this is a load of BS.
I was expecting some sort of M&M press release with an Apple exec saying something about a marketing partnership in the article. Instead I'm linked to some IP address, not even a domain name, and it's just a vanilla web page with a few paragraphs and some photoshop-looking pictures.
This is a new low. - mikepictor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8If you don't think it's worth reading, dig it down. That's what this site is all about.
Heck if a picture of goats on a tree can be dug enough to be talked about on diggnation, it's all a matter of what people find interesting. - grandad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I have to agree. I like Apple products as much as the next guy, but 700+ diggs for some M&Ms?
- ToeCheese, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@billsdog:
It's Mars/M&Ms not Hersheys. - kmoth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Tomorrow's article: WE SHOVE SOME OF THESE M&M's IN A WII AND IT BREAKS! ZOMG IS THERE BAD BLOOD BETWEEN NINTENDO/APPLE/HERSHEY THAT THEIR PRODUCTS COULD BE SO INCOMPATIBLE?"
if there's one thing you could have taken away from all this, it's that Hershey doesn't make M&M's. at least then you would have learned something and it would have been slightly less "BS".
what's the point of complaining? if this doesn't appeal to you, GREAT! i don't care, therefor i don't need to know. yours is just one more comment cluttering things up, making it harder to find the intersting comments.
- professorChaos, on 10/12/2007, -21/+2not a fan boy but pretty cool sure i own a 30gb video a 2nd gen shuffle and shue as hell getting the apple tv, id get the iphone but cingular is a show stopper if you get the obscure bob and tom refrence good for you
- doocefan, on 10/12/2007, -14/+1I don't think they would taste any differently. I have been to an M&M's store before. They had all kinds of colors, even gray and black if you can believe it. They all tasted like the regular old M&M's we all know and have loved since childhood.
- FakeFakerson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9http://www.duggmirror.com/apple/Packs_of_m_ms_bought_from_factory_store_have_Apple_logo_stamped_on_them

- rudy23, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24depends on whats on em.
The MSM&M can be shared on with 3 friends and have to be consumed within 3 days. Yellow ones cant be shared cos the come from Universal.
The Apple Logo M&M's cant be shared with anyone unless you take a photograph and burn them to a CD. - Lionstone, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0You can't "squirt" them to your friends though.... ewww.

- pjdevitt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It could be worse -- it could have been Mohammed. One cartoon reigns down a holy war on an entire country; imagine one in every packet.
- ldkronos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I've found odd symbols mixed in with my M&Ms from time to time. The first time it happened, I looked at it and thought "thats odd" and then proceeded to eat it. Then a second later I though "Oh crap...I hope that wasn't some type of contest: if you get the special M&M you win $1,000,000". I quickly reached for the bag and was relieved there was no contest.

Besides look at the other different ones they have. The have a bunch of E's and W's and a couple of 3's - iPodPartsPlus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What I think would be funny is if this story was true. Apple is having a find a pack of M&M's with an apple logo and win a free iPhone, and you ate them.
- Dharmamooch, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Dear Digg, You used to be enjoyable and entertaining. You are becoming a place where people find it entertaining to insult each other, even when it comes to the most sweet of human delight - chocolate. The disillusioned and angry of the world have come here in an attempt to pull the rest of us down to their level. Maybe it makes them feel good? I just don't understand. Oh Digg, you could be so much better. Why, oh, why can't my fellow diggers respect each other's interests and ideas of fun and entertainment? If only.....
- RossEwidge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Dear you,
The world is full of vile and disgusting people, including starry-eyed hippies and Earth mothers. Whenever something is popular, by definition it gets inundated by people, with all their attendant flaws and bad behavior. This is reality. If you no likee, find yourself an ashram or commune to wall yourself off from the wicked, evil world.

- RobSaint, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sorry triska.
