- DavidTurnbull, on 03/13/2009, -3/+66Sounds good to me, although I've never had many issues with bugs. Safari still freezes sometimes (it is the beta version though), but other than that Leopard runs pretty flawlessly.
- Skurt, on 03/15/2009, -12/+71The title above says Bug fixes for Mac... If you don't like Apple/Mac then why the hell are you reading this article?

And then UNCHECK APPLE - Linux/Unix and ANY OTHER TOPIC THAT YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN/KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT.
And we wouldn't have to hear your stupid/nonsensical blatherings about how YOUR operating system is better than someone elses JUST because THEY don't use the one YOU use.
At least Linux users have the smarts to be able to reconfigure/compile to their needs. - seltaeb4, on 03/15/2009, -1/+44No... this will be a free update.
- Macintoshreader, on 03/15/2009, -2/+36It's a free update, you idiot. You fail at promoting Linux, fanboy.
- fury420, on 03/15/2009, -1/+27who said anything about paying? this is a free update like the six other 10.5.x updates
- TheCheeks, on 03/15/2009, -7/+31I'm a fanboy, I love Apple. 12 years on Windows, yet only 3 on Mac and I loved the switch.
No one ever says there isn't issues on a Mac, but they seem FAR FAR less than Windows ;) - jasmus, on 03/15/2009, -0/+23...what?
- oOLiquidNightOo, on 03/14/2009, -12/+31when i read that completely unfounded comment, i can't tell you how angry it makes me.
it's not a ***** game. - VitriolAndAngst, on 03/15/2009, -2/+19I am not a knee-jerk fan-boy, but having read your brilliant prose on the topic, I'm beginning to feel better about my Mac purchase.
- wastern, on 03/15/2009, -0/+17I've never had to restart my computer or Mail to setup a new account
- inactive, on 03/15/2009, -0/+16For a net decrease of 60 bugs? Problem being?
- BrendanSheehan, on 03/14/2009, -2/+18A bug they haven't address since Leopard shipped is the tooltip dictionary brings up "no entries found" for basically 'any' longer word, but if you click "more..." you get the full definition in the Dictionary app. It's a small issue, but it's annoying. In General actually the Dictionary app can be sluggish with that linked data running through it, I wish they'd address this also. Most other things are pretty smooth, bar Flash of course, sigh.
An no, I'm not a ***** troll. I love Leopard. - emt1451, on 03/14/2009, -5/+21You are truly an idiot.
- Phocion55, on 03/15/2009, -6/+21By all means, go for it.
Have fun when the beta OS deactivates on July 1st. - maanwi, on 03/15/2009, -1/+15There is no OS that is 100% bug free; "bugs" are kinks in the code (how it's written) and are completely unrelated to viruses.
- dissolved, on 03/15/2009, -2/+16Um it's free...
- inactive, on 03/15/2009, -1/+13when has windows every charged for their updates?!
- roguewriter, on 03/15/2009, -1/+13So, you didn't read the article. Okay.
Made a stupid assumption. Okay.
Compared Leopard to Windows 98. Priceless.
You sir, are so full of Epic Fail that you should be on G4. - HorseloverFat8, on 03/15/2009, -1/+12I don't know what your issue with it is, but I think Mail is a great app.
- inactive, on 03/14/2009, -0/+11Well it wont, so there you go.
- chkdg8, on 03/14/2009, -8/+18Please fix Mail. Please.
- itsbob, on 03/15/2009, -2/+12Its named after a pregnant teenager, dumbass.
- inactive, on 03/15/2009, -1/+11I'm thinking it's a virus and his computer just got pwnd.
- iEnigma, on 03/15/2009, -0/+101. Alienate people visiting an Apple article

4. Profit! - theenginedriver, on 03/15/2009, -0/+9And?
- CoreyTamas, on 03/15/2009, -5/+14Don't get too angry. Trolls thrive on being able to make you react.
- itsbob, on 03/15/2009, -3/+11Makes sense, XP SP3 has NO bugs at all doesn't it.
Its software, made by humans, there are ALWAYS bugs.
And don't even start with the virus crap. - morcheeba, on 03/15/2009, -1/+9The built-in one is awesome... put the mouse over a word (no need to select it) and ctrl-cmd-d & the definition will pop up.
- CoreyTamas, on 03/15/2009, -0/+8You remind me of the scene in Zoolander where, when the protagonist is shown a small-scale model of a school, he becomes furious... because "HOW ARE THE CHILDREN SUPPOSED TO FIT IN THERE?"
- ZombieSociety, on 03/15/2009, -3/+10Shut. Up.
That's why. - dancecmdr, on 03/14/2009, -7/+14Hopefully they'll fix the flaky Macbook bluetooth problem.
- CoreyTamas, on 03/15/2009, -2/+9So desperately wanting to put down someone else... I will... grab... at... any... straw...
- Macintoshreader, on 03/15/2009, -6/+13Obvious troll is obvious.
- enantiodromia, on 03/15/2009, -0/+7linux is not free at all. the time it takes to support yourself is much larger than with Windows or OS X
- CoreyTamas, on 03/15/2009, -6/+12That's like saying you're going to fix dinner by taking a ***** on the serving plate.
- inactive, on 03/15/2009, -1/+7I've never had a single issue with Mail. Perhaps my usage is light, but I've found it to be more than adequate for my needs.
- CoreyTamas, on 03/15/2009, -4/+10"I repeat clichéd arguments, therefore I am."
- inactive, on 03/15/2009, -3/+9Don't let the idiots get you down.
- madvibe, on 03/15/2009, -2/+8You beat me to it
- satcomer, on 03/15/2009, -1/+7Can we get through an OS X Update any story with you iPhone users whining at any Apple news about your darn iPhones? Just be like any good suburban any just upgrade when Apple releases a new device with the 3.0 software preview on March 17th.
- wastern, on 03/15/2009, -5/+10Leopard runs very well, but still doesn't feel as rock solid as Tiger did. I'm hoping Snow Leopard is the new standard by which I measure stability in OS X
- spiffyfitz, on 03/15/2009, -0/+5Honestly, I seem to always have a lot of problems with all of my Leopard computers. I'm really looking forward to any bug fixing I can get.
- toxicityj, on 03/15/2009, -1/+6Waaait why the hell would you need to reboot for it to accept a new server info? Do you restart the program or the whole computer?
- fugazied, on 03/15/2009, -1/+6I've never had that issue, synced perfectly since day one.
- newbill123, on 03/15/2009, -2/+7On my Mac, I have Linux running on a VM. It works better than having a full install since I can tinker without fear of corrupting things outside of the sandbox accidentally. When I don't find the price of an Apple upgrade worth buying, I can either sell the hardware (since it usually still has value) or install one of my VM images as the native OS.
10.5.7 will be a free update, but even when there are pay upgrades for the feature releases, it has been a fair expense for me. I'm not saying that there aren't cheaper or better solutions, but Mac OS X has been a reasonable cost for a supported OS that gets out of my way. - MacParrot, on 03/15/2009, -3/+7You poor man! You actually have to glance at story titles on an RSS reader? Stories that you otherwise have no interest in? How do manage to sleep at night with all those stories compiling...compiling...
So ignore the ones you have no interest in. You DO have free will right? - MacParrot, on 03/15/2009, -0/+4i think the only virus here is laborcszanto.
- IJstickI, on 03/15/2009, -1/+5i dont think that is necessarily a good thing that you have 80 bug fixes a week....
- RMoore08, on 03/15/2009, -6/+10viruses*
go die. - inactive, on 03/15/2009, -7/+11That doesn't work when you read digg through an RSS reader, actually.
which a lot of us do. Otherwise, I'd never have to see stupid fanboy fights over who has a bigger erection over which OS they think is better. -
