- YouKnowWho, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nowhere in the article it says that iChat tab support will be coming on .3. What it does says however, its that Apple has "already explored adding the popular feature".
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The difference between an Apple update and a Microsoft update... and I use both... is that using OS X you'd never notice that anything was really wrong-I often scratch my head wondering what they had to fix. While in XP the problems are right there in your face everyday.
- Raian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It would be even cooler if it was released!
- webxd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The 10.4.3 update in development is said to contain about 400 fixes so far. The most recent dev release to testers recently has added another 100 fixes.
- UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Elranzer, they only really talk like that for major releases, and in that case its true..
- tikibangout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet I can't wait. I hope it fixes the sound lag on my iBook.
- vikramkr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mac OSX puts out 100 updates at a time. Microsoft does it as soon as they can fix it. I think they somewhat even out. Just different methods of distribution.
--Mac Mini in 2 days :) - Singee15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0100 more bug fixes?
A la windows? - sdenike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah I agree most of the time when they "fix" something that means they improve on what is already there and then some.
- Acill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0plenty of people use OS X, dont be so lame. At least our machines are not being used as spam hub distro points like so many Windows machines are!

word - RootDaddy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0To those of you who don't have a clue:
OSX 10.4 was a huge leap for apple not because of what it offered the end user, but because they made major changes to OSX's kernel. these changes are key to what Apple has in store for Leopard and beyond, but "broke" a lot of current apps in the process, hence the unusually long wait for Tiger over previous releases like Panther that increased stability and added functionality. Tiger added functionality and was a major overhaul of the underlying code. These 400+ fixes are addressing bugs that are a result of the change in OSX's kernel. The updates to OSX are nothing like the updates to XP, these updates are restoring the rock-solid functionality that 10.3 brought to the Mac while fixing the apps the updated kernel broke, from the inside. To anyone who knew what Apple really did with Tiger, these updates have been expected and are quite welcome. To all the XP/Vista/Apple-sucks fanboys out there this is proof that Apple isn't infallible... but who is? - Ssullivan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well to be fair "repalmer" no one really uses Mac OS compared to windows so you can't really compare the two in this manner.
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0English: "Tiger update 10.4.3 will contain around 100 more bug fixes"
In Apple-speak:
"Tiger 10.4.3 will contain over 100+ new features!!!"
LOL (I love Apple, but that *is* how they speak....) - sonofalink, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0So "iChat contains icons featuring tabs in the app bundle" somehow means "10.4.3 will have iChat featuring tabs"??
Not digging this, submitter obviously retarded.
