  • freakin42, on 12/12/2007, -0/+2The idea behind virus protection is to prevent the passing on of a virus. Yes, your mac is pretty much immune, but if you receive a document in your email that is infected, and pass that along to a friend or co-worker who uses Windows, you are helping to spread the infection. Virus protection is always a good idea, because if your ISP flags your account for passing along a virus, you could have your internet access turned off.
