  • buckyballs, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1Registering domains like that is standard practice for companies. Apple owned iphone.com for years before they announced it.

    I'm sure they own domains that they'll never use. Apple has $18 billion in the bank. The $10 for a domain isn't even a no-brainer.
