- Azerael, on 01/08/2009, -0/+7You know you can uncheck the Apple section, right? I did it for sports. If you don't care about something, just remove it from your frontpage feed.
http://digg.com/settings/topics ^- change stuff here - martinc00, on 01/08/2009, -1/+7As everything is user submitted, have you not stopped to think maybe there might be just a few apple users on Digg, hence such a large Apple Section...
- MazdaEric, on 01/08/2009, -0/+6DO WANT
- darny, on 01/08/2009, -1/+5does this mean it's going to cost $5000 and is going to crash whenever I try to use cover flow?
- MtheoryX, on 01/07/2009, -1/+5That's ridiculous.
- migitalwarfare, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4you ever think that maybe Apple has been in the news every day for the last month because not more than 2 days ago was an apple event that every apple user looks forward to? seriously, leave if you don't like it, because you're not going to sway the thousands of users that digg up apple articles by threatening to quit digg.
- adkenc, on 01/08/2009, -0/+4but does it have a removeable battery?
- ATLien74, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3Let me know if you figure out how to delete your digg account. Seriously.
- IamNomad, on 01/08/2009, -2/+5cool concept.. but 5g ... for a tablet pc ??? NO. how bout a IBM lenova running os x 10.5 build from bit torrent for like 1200 ?
- ranza, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3you dirty macbook! how could you!
- Taiyoryu, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3Wacom Cintiq 21UX ($2000) + whatever computer you prefer = touchscreen (technically pen display) with replaceable hardware. There's also the smaller Cintiq 12WX for a $1000.
Tablets suffer the same problem with all-in-ones... you can't keep the screen when you want more horsepower. Some people will want tablets and there are certainly applications made for them, but they aren't going to have universal appeal. Few things do.
Eventually, I expect Wacom or some other company to release a wireless-N/bluetooth touchscreen that can stream the display and provide user input. That would be better as a more general purpose computing device because it's nothing more than a mobile diskless terminal. - migitalwarfare, on 01/08/2009, -0/+3you could say the same about macs in general 10 years ago.
- phill, on 01/09/2009, -0/+2Yeah, looks like ass.
- L0NER, on 03/05/2009, -0/+2this might make me give up my tecra M7. Can i replace the cd-rom with a secondary harddrive?
- anubis2night, on 01/09/2009, -0/+2It's like my wacom cintiq only smaller and more expensive. I'm wondering if the screen has the nice feel that a wacom does when the pen runs across it. I just wish Wacom built these already. Screw Apple, I agree with Taiyoryu, just make the screen wireless with a range of 50 - 100 ft.
- jason210, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2It's going to have a pop up keyboard like the iphone
- qwertydvorak, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2it is more about size and weight. i would love something like one of the netbooks without a keyboard. something stripped down so far that it can only do web surfing, email, lite word and excel opening and creation, open powerpoints, wifi connection or 3g (or whatever flavor), calendar functions, and excellent handwriting recognition. it must be an instant on device also.
i want this all in a package no bigger than 6 or 7 inches wide by 9 or 10 inches tall and no more than 1 inch thick (would much prefer no more than 3/4 inch thick). it must be as light as possible and have at least 5 hours of battery time. i don't want games or tilt sensors or any crap that isn't necessary. i basically want it to be a hyped up electronic calendar / notepad that happens to browse the net and do email.
tons of people still take paper notes and use paper calendars because there isn't a device as easy to use as paper. palms and other handhelds suck because of size and the pain in the ass factor. give me something to replace my day-timer and it will sell tens of millions. - yetAnotherCroc, on 01/08/2009, -1/+3I have a tablet with a physical keyboard. It's great. I can use it as a regular laptop when I need to write long stretches of text. When I just want to surf or read something I fold it into tablet mode and go sit on the couch. Being able to choose is what makes it great.
And don't give me any bs about being able to type on the on screen keyboard. It takes three times longer and you have to constantly check that your keypresses registered properly since you cant feel it with your fingers. - jakem1, on 01/08/2009, -1/+3Why would you bother putting OS X on a Lenovo tablet? Vista's ink experience is much better and the handwriting recognition is second to none..
- DaManIAm, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2corporate inbreeding can't be good
- darny, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1I was talking about my ipod touch.
- Biocore951, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1This is why I dont buy Mac, I really think that it is the Devil in company form.
- JIZZED, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1Cover flow crash only when you're using "iTunes for Windows"
Windows dont have core image and quartz! - hardeep1singh, on 05/02/2009, -0/+1Why can't Apple develop stable software for Windows? They're earn a lot of profit out of their overpriced products. Why can't they hire some good developers for their Windows apps?
- digitalpencil, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1You'll close your account if there's no apple crap tomorrow? surely that's a little counter-productive.
Also, please ***** do. I'm getting tired of seeing your buried ass on every apple story, whinging as usual..
Why not just filter the section out? oh wait, you can't cause all your fun is derived from trolling.. - kreatre2007, on 01/08/2009, -1/+2I'm going to change my opinion on Apple tablet computers. I think they should start making tablets. This thing looks like ass. Also, why would you want a tablet that doesn't have a keyboard? It's not always appropriate to use a stylus. The biggest reason why I want Apple to make a tablet Mac is because I want people to shut the hell up about them. The tablet computer market is not that big which is a likely reason why Apple hasn't made one yet. I am sick of reading stories about Apple not having made a tablet computer.
- dogb, on 01/12/2009, -0/+1An awesome concept...but $5K? or $3100 to mod my existing Pro...If I had that kind of money...I wouldn;t be wasting my time reading news like this online...;-)
- Ratteler, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB167LL/A?fnode= ...
- Ratteler, on 01/08/2009, -1/+2Sorry, you made a typo. You said "Vista" and "better" in the same sentence.
- diggimator, on 07/03/2009, -0/+1I'm much more of a keyboard person. Even if the PC I bought had handwriting recognition that was the greatest ever, I would never use it....
- ATLien74, on 01/13/2009, -0/+1Nerd? Film Actors Guild?
Me no understand. Me need delete button. - digitalpencil, on 01/08/2009, -1/+1illustrators just use wacoms, this is purely for pose factor.
- migitalwarfare, on 01/08/2009, -3/+2better question. why the hell would you WANT a tablet that has a keyboard? on screen is fine, physical is ***** retarded.
- jaimequin, on 01/08/2009, -2/+1Um..., this is not even worth mentioning in any way. If your interested in this pricey tablet, you're a MacTool
- dojothemonkey, on 01/08/2009, -3/+1only people who could take advantage of this is graphics designers other wise its just waste of money.
- NidStyles, on 01/08/2009, -5/+3Yawn. Let me know when the over-priced fruit decides to finally update it's hardware. I like OSX, but I can't rationalize the premium on the hardware that is really starting to show it's age.
- AutoTom, on 01/08/2009, -6/+3buried for being posted after every apple event since conception.
- inactive, on 01/08/2009, -9/+2omfg!. I've concluded that Digg has a corporate deal with Apple. I have tried to find a single day this entire month without Apple hitting the frontpage, can't find any!. I will close my Digg account if there is no apple crap tomorrow. That is a bet!. Guess i'll be here for a long time
What is Digg?
