    It's nice hardware, and there are plenty of people running Windows on Apple laptops instead of OS X. AFAIK, that even includes some people at Microsoft. But I'd have thought it wouldn't be the most tactful thing for the actual CEO to be seen in public with a Mac. I mean it wouldn't exactly speak of confidence in MS's partners, would it? It'd be like a poke in the eye for the likes of Dell and HP who have this relationship whereby they pretty much exclusively ship MS's software on their laptops. (You can get "desktop Linux" from Dell, but they (presumably deliberately) don't make it *too* obvious to buyers.) The least Ballmer could do in return is use their stuff in public.
