- JohnnyVu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+62There isn't even a damn picture of the product!
- Swanfactor, on 10/12/2007, -13/+5I'll just wait to see if Microsoft or Google bids the highest to tap directly into my brain and tell me exactly what to buy and when. I may not even have to leave the couch.
- mfratt, on 10/12/2007, -7/+16$99 for a damned Microsoft keyboard?! I would go Logitech well before Microsoft (And on Macs, I prefer to stick with official apple perhiperals)
- SystemError, on 10/12/2007, -21/+14here is a much better picture http://rk86.com/frolov/mouse-1.jpg
http://rk86.com/frolov/mouse-2.jpg - DoubtfulSalmon, on 10/12/2007, -13/+12I don't get it? For a couple of years now, I've been buying Apple keyboards and handing them out every time one of my customers (thats 'users' for the less enlightened tech support folks) wants/needs a new keyboard for their Windows box. (We don't actually have any Macs around here). The Mac keyboards work perfectly OK with Windows. They're *much* nicer (and better looking) than a generic PC keyboard too.
What don't I get? Why would Microsoft bother with trying to flog a second rate PC keyboard for Macs when the Mac keyboard is better - it should be the other way around - Apple doing special runs of their keyboard, in black with a 'windows' logo in place of the apple logo for those who can't figure out the difference!!!
Insert obligatory "this post typed using an Apple keyboard on a Win32 box" here! - thebusdriver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8@SystemError Well, at least that one has 3 buttons...
- lnxaddct, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11SalmonDoubtful,
If only one good thing has ever come out of Redmond, it is their comfort curve keyboard, and it is worth every penny. I honestly can't stand any other of their products, I own nothing Microsoft except for their keyboard. It looks weird at first, but goddamn it is good... your hands just caress the keys. The mac keyboards look more stylish, and they are very comfortable as well (so I recommend using the mac keyboard with macs... they just go together nicely), but for comfort and speed, Microsoft makes one hell of a keyboard. I have yet to find one as ergonomic, and even better, it is spill proof! - theone3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@lnx. If you think the comfort curve keyboard is great (and I agree with you 100%), you should try the laser mouse 6000!
- KrocCamen, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Microsoft Mice rule. Any decent Mac user ditches the supplied mouse and gets a Microsoft mouse. I might not like Microsoft Windows, but their hardware is simply superior. All the cabled optical mice last for years (I'm still using an intellimouse silver 3) and the response is always excellent. Hardware is the one thing MS get very right and you'd be a fool to miss out on an MS Mouse & Keyboard just because you're a Mac owner and too puritanical for that kind of thing
- KCorax, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3You realize ofcourse that ms hardware is oem logitech..
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3You realise of course that you just made a total fool of yourself, no-one will believe that tripe for a second.
(comment dugg to embarrass moron :D) - coolbru, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I have an Apple 'Pro' keyboard, and after typing about 100,000 lines of PHP, it's fairly knackered. in particular the left shift and control keys jam if you don't hit them right in the middle. Also, since I've had this keyboard, I have had trouble with getting shifted chars like ( to come out right - it's like the shift is slow to respond or something.
I used to love the old Apple Extended Keyboard II, aka 'Nimitz'. I sold a 14-year old one for £30 (about $50) just last year - they are that good! The tactile pro keyboard is very tempting as it uses the same keyswitches (none of this membrane rubbish): http://www.matias.ca/tactilepro/ The downside of these is that they are pretty noisy.
I've used some logitech and MS keyboards before, and they have been pretty good - recently though they seem to think that bigger is better and have such monstrous proportions you can't actually fit them on your desk. MS mice are OK, but I definitely prefer Logitechs - my bog-standard Logitech optical is a much better mouse than my MS Intellimouse Explorer, and it was half the price too. - theone3, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@coolbru
You know, PHP is particularly nasty on keyboards. You could sooth it back to good health with some BASIC, and give it the occasional bout of C++ just to keep it warmed up. As long as you don't try any assembly for a while, i'm sure it'll be fighting fit again soon.
- JohnnyVu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+62There isn't even a damn picture of the product!
- PrincessKate, on 10/12/2007, -15/+2[includes]Mac Modifier Keys, which provide "control, option and command" buttons (from article)
Maybe its more user friendly for switch-overs who just came from using a PC but sorry I will keep my Apple key, giving me a PC keyboard to use with my Mac doesn't sound that appealing (correct me if I am wrong but that is what I understood they were doing).- eobanb, on 10/12/2007, -6/+12The command key IS the Apple key you *****
- thinkdifferent, on 10/12/2007, -31/+12Great, now my keyboard will make my Mac crash! ;)
- tormented, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13That is the stupidest thing I have heard/read all day.
- iamcdn28, on 10/12/2007, -11/+7Oh like you didn't laugh the first you heard about the Micro$oft car that crashes all the time and you have to roll down the windows every time you want to start it.
- ardellin, on 10/12/2007, -10/+9Congratulations iamcdn28, at this time you are the only idiot to use a $ to replace the S in either MS or Microsoft.
I was actually surprised and began to think the digg community was starting to grow more mature. Thanks for being the exception!
- frem001, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5I wonder how it will look like. have they updated their firmware to a universal binary too? It's nice of to see them put some effort in the mac market... now get WMediaPlayer or flip4mac sorted out and a universal version of office and i'll be happy.
- stoops, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Here are some pics if you guys want 'em http://www.macnn.com/articles/04/09/08/ms.keyboard.mice/
- scloopy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7Agggh! Too many functions, it's hurting my eyes.

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=078- Idiot900, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Look at the system requirements on the official MS site. Officially supports Firefox!
- krewemaynard, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8LOL, "Additional Features" includes the following:
"Customizable Buttons
Sophisticated Finish
4-Way Scrolling
Unique Style
Cutting-Edge Design"
OMG PONIES!!! It's got a sophisticated finish AND a cutting-edge design! How'd they have room left for buttons?
- DarkDays, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2They just want to remind Mac users that they're using the 'holy' Microsoft every time they see their mouse/keyboard. Too bad many people can touch type. =)
- celerate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you don't want to have the Microsoft logo on your mouse and keyboard get yourself some sand paper. Frankly I have a very similar Microsoft keyboard than the one in the article, it's a bit older so it has less function keys, but to my surprise when I got it I loved it. Even their low end hardware is very decent, except their low end keyboards are damn noisy.
- dave_colorado, on 10/12/2007, -5/+33microsoft makes great keyboards and mice. i'm using them now, have for years, and love them.
don't use them with my powerbook, though.- Eddible, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14Hats off to you for being so open about your love of a Microsoft product! But I agree, completely.
- RadiantBeing, on 10/12/2007, -7/+18When I got my iMac, the first thing I did was ditch the MightyMouse in favor of a Microsoft Intellimouse.
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -5/+24I'm in your camp too. I love my Mac, but I can't stand the keyboard. If there's one thing Microsoft gets right - it's their mice and keyboards. Come to think of it, the Xbox seems to be done right, too. Could it be that Microsoft is secretly very good at hardware, despite how their software turns out?
- krschuerman, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11Agreed. One thing microsoft always seems to get right is keyboards and mice.
- tormented, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I like Windows, being as it creates my source of income for a very high ranking factor in my allegances, but that has got nothing to do with my opinion on their periferals.
I would have to say the best thing Microsoft does is their mouse and keyboards (with the exception of the stupid "F Lock" that is total *****). Their equipment scores up there with Logitech who focus on these things thats got to mean they have got something good going on in this market. - funkyp56, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5whatever happend to Microsoft vs apple, i want my war back!!!!
- salmonmoose, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Agreed, Microsoft make great hardware, whilst I'm a Logitech guy when it comes to my mice, nothing beats a MS Natural keyboard when it comes to typing all day long.
It's really solid and well built, it's a shame Microsoft stopped making game hardware for the PC aswell, the Sidewinder series was great.
- p9s50W5k4GUD2c6, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Who is sleeping with whom? I am so confused!
- astrosmash, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5There's no conspiracy here.
Some people like MS hardware. Even MS haters like and prefer MS hardware. Microsoft makes money selling hardware. Obviously they figure that the potential Apple market size is large enough for them to produce some Mac-specific hardware and make some money.
It's not like their keyboard and mouse only work with MS Office or anything.
- astrosmash, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5There's no conspiracy here.
- Linkage155, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Is it just me or is Apple making a product that would also increase Microsoft sales and Microsoft Making Products that would reverse the effect every day? -- Do I see my self using a Mac/Windows Machine in the future? :D
- IMesh, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7It's a ***** keyboard, do you call your PC a Microsoft Logitech PC?
- mikev, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Hmm it doesn't seem Logitech S 350 Laser Cordless Desktop for Mac inspired now does it...
(damn, that is a long name)- abiding99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1S530
- Unicyclelarry, on 10/12/2007, -12/+6John C. Dvorak is looking to be more and more right everyday... and that frightens me.
- longofest, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9because Microsoft came out with yet ANOTHER keyboard/mouse combo that is mac-compatible?
Get a grip.
- longofest, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9because Microsoft came out with yet ANOTHER keyboard/mouse combo that is mac-compatible?
- carebearwarrior, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4They fail to mention that the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 is Mac compatible as well, and has been out for almost 8 months or so already. I'm using that with my iMac, and I love it.
Microsoft may be the evil empire when it comes to software, but when it comes to computer peripherals (mice, keyboards, and old school SideWinders) they make em great.- node42, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I too am using the 4000 with my Macbook. It has a great feel to it - but the fact that it only has one "Apple" (okay Microsoft Start) key throws me off. Mac keyboards have one on each side of the space bar. I think my next keyboard will be a kinesis-ergo though. I just need to take out that second mortgage first...
- salmonmoose, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yeah.. what's with that? I'm used to having 2 windows keys - it's not like there isn't room on the 4000 :(
Whilst I'm bitching; the other feature I can't deal with, is the zoom, it's just pointless, i'd much rather it scrolled - bradleyland, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@node
I was pretty frustrated by that at first, but I found a setting under System Prefs>Keyboard & Mouse>Keyboard>Modifier Keys that allows you to set the Alt key to the Cmd key, thus giving you two. The "start key" becomes the alt-option key, which isn't used as much as the Cmd key.
- 0x20boy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7How can they always make stuff that looks like 1980 crap - it's like a gift.
- gooru, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3This is AWESOME! I'm a diehard Mac user, but the best keyboard for my battered wrists is by far the MS Natural Keyboard. I don't understand why Apple can make so many beautiful products but make them so ergonomically challenged. If you've spent any time typing on their keyboards or using that past hockey puck mouse, then you know what I mean. Although I don't like the curved MS keyboard as much, it's still a step in the right direction. Now, if only they would offer an ergonomic version of the Mighty Mouse, I'd be set.
- IMesh, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Because beutiful doesn't mean comfortable. I am sure you have seen those artistic chair things that feel like *****.
- aquax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I also am a diehard Mac fan, and yet I've used an MS Natural Pro for years now.
I picked it up at Fry's for $19 about 5 years ago. I wish I had bought 5 of them. - sakabako, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Contrary to popular belief, ergonomic does not mean pretty with tons of curves. Ergonomic products can be used in many ways to avoid stressing the same part of your hand over and over again. I like to hold my mighty mouse several different ways, depending on the task. I also switched the right and left mouse buttons, which makes it far more ergonomic, you've got to try it to believe how much better it is.
- arunforce, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1When I first saw the title, I thought I was seeing things.
- Rabid_Llama, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Looks pretty good, but I'd bet it'll require a driver to run.
- FantomCircuit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4It does!
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=078&active_tab=systemRequirements
"Users of Mac OS X v10.2.x must install enclosed IntelliType Pro and IntelliPoint software before connecting the hardware." - astrosmash, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5No *****. All USB keyboards and mice work with OS X (and Windows) out of box, at least at the fundamental level. To enable the wacky, customizable, non-standard keyboard stuff you need a custom driver. This applies to both Windows and OS X.
- Branden, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Seems like it is only needed if you have anything below v10.3.9 actually.
- coolbru, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1In the driver I have (for an Intellimouse Explorer), it's not possible to make the additional buttons act 'normally'. OS X knows all about multiple buttons, but the MS software only lets you define the additional buttons as things like 'ctrl-shift left click' rather than simply 'button 4' (which is what the native driver does).
- FantomCircuit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4It does!
- Rice, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Looks kinda ***** to me. Haha.
- ihybridora, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5right on the spot. that doesn't look like any mac person will use it. the mac is all about being simple. Does that look simple?
- coolbru, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, I mean it's got more than one button! (Joking - I'm a Mac user!)
- Swift2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I'm split. I do have a (wired) Microsoft mouse, which I like better than the Mighty Mouse. I have just set up a G5/Mac mini with a KVM, and I couldn't get rid of the Windows keyboard fast enough. It drove me nuts. By contrast, the Mac keyboard is responsive, quick, and great. (But I imagine habit has a lot to do with that.). The Mac keyboard driver is just about perfect in Windows, except that f14-f15-f16 just don't work. No Pause/Break and those odd keys.
But wireless I'm not too happy about. I like a wire. I don't want to be in the middle of a paper/chapter/article and suddenly lose the keyboard. Uh-uh. And I've tried those curvy MS keyboards, and they just feel terrible to me. I know, most of this is simply habit, but I'm not a customer.- MaverickCC, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2There were no G5 mac minis :-) sorry had to point it out...
I agree w/ most this keyboard misses the entire point of Mac hardware, Mac hardware elegant and simple. This keyboard may be comfy and practical..but it doesn't fit with a Mac. They could have at least made it white! This pretty much sums up the diff between the two companies...both make good products, just a completely different approach.
That said, i use an old MS ergonomic keyboard w/ my mac mini...(white one at least!)...so what do i know??? - IMesh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"There were no G5 mac minis :-) sorry had to point it out..."
He is saying he has a G5 and a mac mini on a KVM. KVMs are used for multiple computers shared with mouse, keyboards, monitors, and since he mentioned 2 computers, a G5 and a mac mini, a person would assume that he was talking about 2 computers.
- MaverickCC, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2There were no G5 mac minis :-) sorry had to point it out...
- himey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Who came up with the crappy layout on all of the new keyboards (Microsoft and Logitech at least) for the Insert / Delete / Home / End / Pg Up / Pg Down keys? I hate that arrangement and refuse to buy any keyboard regardless of the platform or the manufacturer that has it.
- tfinniga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I know what you mean. It seems that every new keyboard decides to screw with those keys - I've seen maybe 3-4 different layouts on modern keyboards. As a programmer who cut his teeth on edit, I use those keys a lot, not just for navigation, but for cut/paste as well.
The part that really gets me is that there seems to be no reason to mess with the keys. What, all of a sudden you want people to be able to hit delete with their foreheads?
Don't get me started on F-lock.
- redwire, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Function is great.
That said, astheticlly they have missed the point entirely yet again. Why would we want to destroy the beautiful look of our chosen machines with something like that? You can't win us over simply with function, the mac keyboard alone is good enough at that, the only way you can compete is by adding that additional function to at least equal form. - Durinthal, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3What are they going to do with the other buttons on the mouse?
- KrocCamen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2use them
- whatsthatsmell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just bought that keyboard/mouse last week for $25 after rebate (sale over) and i was quite surprised when i was checking out to see the mac compatibility stated on the box there, but i still bought it.i like some features/ideas about my logitech better, but the mouse was acting all crazy and had to go, and logitech wasn't on sale for $75 off. The curve messes up my spelling for some reason.
- gxcdesign, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1I use a Microsoft mouse with my iMac G5...it's the quietest clicker that I know..only reason I have it...I hate loud clickers that Apple makes...
I will have to give this a shot - cliktokill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I know. I mean what the ***** is with thejanky 1998 windows plastic mouse. And the red buttons look like pieces of painted wood.
I don't belive it. - chembro84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I am so tired of "articles" about products with out a picture, quit spamming and at least show me a picture!
- longofest, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4why the hell is a keyboard and mouse announcement that isn't some kind of fantastic product (like the OLED optimus keyboard) making the front page?
What tickles my brain more is why are people digging this story?
for what it's worth: I think the keyboard is fine. All you people who are complaining about it really need to stop complaining JUST because it has the word "Microsoft" on it. - Milo_Hoffman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4
Come with me to the future circa 2015:
Microsoft will be simply known as the worlds largest maker of keyboards and mice having gotten rid of all the other product lines they do not do so well (aka all software, etc).
....of course even in 2015 while their keyboard and mice devices are well designed and made they will continue to have a bad reputation for so-so quality drivers...especially the ones for MacOSLinux. - tavisjohn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2LOL Looks exactly like their normal set. Why not just sell the normal set with the apple keys, and let you swop the Windows keys for the Mac keys! More $$$ for MS, less manfacturing, less storage, less inventory issues!
- Canthros, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I don't think I want Microsoft to "enhanc[e] the computing experience" on my Mac.
Maybe it's just me.- HackWithRamzi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You mean like on Wil Shipley's blog post (Microsoft Enhanced for her Pleasure haha):
http://wilshipley.com/blog/2006/03/this-post-is-microsoft-enhanced-tm.html
- HackWithRamzi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You mean like on Wil Shipley's blog post (Microsoft Enhanced for her Pleasure haha):
- totorototoro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3so...as Apple transitions its desktops and notebooks to Intel processors and WiFi/Bluetooth as standard features... Microsoft promises a new Macintosh specific Wireless Keyboard/Mouse...that uses...RF?
- coolbru, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I agree. I really don't get this. Bluetooth devices tend to outperform these crummy RF things. And get this (from the MacWorld article): "The company also released new Bluetooth-capable mice and keyboards as well those with integrated fingerprint recognition technology, but the company said those were not compatible with the Mac.". How dumb is that?
- trunkster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2They announced this a few months back so the news article doesn't really say anything new, but thanks for the links to actual pictures of it. Well since it doesn't seem to work with Windows, I assume it's Mac only hence I am not going to get it. I want all the functions on both Mac and Windows since I use the same keyboard on both computers. I have the Wireless Desktop Elite Keyboard and it works great with Windows and Mac. I just wish they would make a keyboard that has both windows and Macintosh functions for command on the same key, that would be cool.
- dixonr315, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Guess its cool, but I wonder how much of a story this would be if it read MS makes keyboard for Dell's. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan, but its just a keyboard, but I guess its good to see third party support. I personally like Logitech, but whatever floats your boat.
- jayKayEss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I can say from personal experience that the keywboards that come with Macs are really hard for people with big hands to use.
- Vector713, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2this article would actually be worth something if there was a damn picture...
- tthiel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This is the second totally Mac specific Microsoft keyboard. But they have had Mac drivers for their other keyboards for years. They had universal drivers for Intel macs fairly early and many more Microsoft keyboards support Macs than Logitech. This keyboard is not any different from one of their existing keyboards other than the Mac specific keys. Also the latest iteration of their keyboards have gotten alot of complaints about durability and poor perfroming wireless.
- cphuntington97, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1deleteme
stupid digg - Kryptonitfusion, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Whoa so lemme guess...theres an apple key now? wtf. why the hell is microsoft making apple compatable hardware? apple doesn't need that usless crap. Im sure apple will gradly replace any broken keyboards and mice at no extra charge.
- superkendall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You know what I want? A somewhat oversize wireless bluetooth 2.0 mouse with a keyboard the size of a sidekicks built in somewhere - folds out and tucks away. Perfect for the mac mini in a HTPC setting. Perhaps even build in the Front Row remote.
- saggygrandma, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"This launch further demonstrates Microsoft’s commitment to enhancing the computing experience for Mac users,"
ok, how the ***** could microsoft enhance the experience on a mac.. and why havent they used it already to make xp half as good... - Kendal, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5PC: I'm a PC...
Mac: And I'm a Mac.
PC: By 'PC' I mean, I'm a Microsoft box. Gee, I sure would like to be as cool as a Mac, but I'm such a try-hard.
Mac: Yes you are, and an infectious duche bag.
PC: Maybe, if I Microsoft made some clunky keyboards and mice, the Macs would look more like PCs....
Mac: What are you doing?
PC: Here, put on this tie.
Mac: Dude! Don't touch me!
(Sounds of strugging)
PC: There! You look great!
Mac: I wonder if I could hang myself with this thing?- JimMacFly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Made my day ... but hey they thought about it: it's wireless ! They knew the Mac guy would not want to be touched by PC accessories.
- Majin_Raditz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks ugly. I won't buy it.
- cboj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looks about the same as the Microsoft 6000 Mouse/Keyboard I picked up last week for 30 bucks at Best Buy. Only difference is the Command and Option keys are not marked, but the Intelli driver software does remap them.
So far its been working fine and the Microsoft software doesn't lock my machine in sleep mode like the Logitech software for my Logitech keyboard did - GhengisKhan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Logitech has a better Mac K/M set, IMO.
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2162,CONTENTID=11420 - etx313, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've been using the MS Intellimouse for years, flat out best mouse ever. I just got a new one for my G5 at work and one for my PC at home. Also, Microsoft always made great Joysticks, I remember playing Wipeout XL on one and it was perfect.
- dtatom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1MS is smart I have to give them that. It basically takes no effort on their part to convert an already existing Windows product into a brand new Mac product. I even bet that since you can now boot windows on a mac that it will behave like a windows keyboard in windows, and a mac keyboard in os x.
- mateo60, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I love a Microsoft mouse. They've been my favorites for years, however, why the hell would I want that keyboard when I've got my beautiuful, functional Apple Keyboard?
Anyone else hate keyboards that look like toys with 500 extra buttons? This keyboard WILL FAIL. - Caulfield, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@KrocCamen: I'm with you. MS keyboards (Comfort Curve 2k) and mice (Comfort OM 3k) are quite a bit nicer than Apple OEM stuff.
@coolbru: I bought a Tactile Pro (for $100, ich!) and it didn't last at all. It doesn't have the fit-and-finish of bigger brand names. The keys get dirty easily and wear out, making keystrokes a crapshoot. I know the marketingblab says that the switches will last for millions of keystrokes; in my experience, it was about a year before it died.
Also, I prefer black keyboards because white ones get so darn dirty so easily.
(ignore Digg's broken comment placement)- coolbru, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks for that info. The Extended II I had was just bombproof - I'd kind of hoped that the tactile pro would follow its example. Sounds like I'm kind of stuck with an Apple keyboard - The MS ones are so big you could put legs on and call it a desk. Maybe I should at least have a look at it ;^)
My MacBook arrives tomorrow, so I'll have a whole new can of keyboard-flavoured worms.
