Martin Sargent: "I Think I Might Be Mac-Curious"

    Oh, well as an audio engineer I personally like macs. I use them daily. I'm just personally sick of all the *****-stupid Apple topics that get posted recently.

    I've used nearly every mac from the original to g4 systems and looked back. Every time apple comes out with a new system or OS apple nuts always claim it's superior to the PC, I've yet to be impressed.

    Good write up with some truth behind the humour. I miss my old powerbook and gaming isn't as big a deal as it was when I was switching back to PC. Though I will admit F.E.A.R. ***** rocks.

    push come to shove though... i'd get a mac. (in fact i've got a mac currently with a laptop pc too but hey...)

  • StanrickKubley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I felt the same exact way not too long ago, then I needed Final Cut Pro, and I got a Mac. I'm glad I did. I use it as my desktop every day. The biggest annoyance of owning a Mac are Apple zealouts. They genuinely make an intelligent discussion harder. But there IS no going back. I can't see myself not using a Mac in the future.

Ya' got your Unix goodness, but with a not-crap GUI... you don't be playing games or running the bleeding edge apps, but it's a desert island for goodness sake!

    Today I've done significant stuff with Linux, Solaris, Windows, and my Mac. It's just a question of the right tool for the job. Linux/Solaris for servers, Mac for photo and video work, Windows for everything else.

    i use OSX at school, and aside from the occasional GUI jamming, i love it.
