- NSResponder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2ShapeShifter, like any other haxies that use the APE framework, makes many apps unstable. Use it at your own risk, and don't complain to Apple or anyone but Unsanity if it breaks.
-jcr - starbird, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Uno has some issues, too. I recently removed it and could no longer open iTunes (everything else was fine). Had to delete any iTunes packages and download and re-install it
But that is a nice looking mac! - miles01110, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Shapeshifter causes bugs in plenty of programs, especially non-Apple apps. If you're looking to unify the OS X theme, try Uno. It makes everything look nice without causing things to crash.
- corsairstw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You mean, OS X doesn't look sexy all by itself? ;-)
- Sethwm2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This not only changes the bar at the top of the screen it also changes the icons, background, and the look of your apps. There are thousands of themes that you can download for Shape Shifter once you have purchased Shape Shifter. I am not sure of the theme I am using in this picture. To give this desktop the finishing touch I turn on fast user switching and add Xtina as the wallpaper. Also for some wicked icons go to http://iconfactory.com/home and the icons are ridiculously high definition. Have any questions about what I did email me. Sethwm2@gmail.com
- Sethwm2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No I will say it does... But this just brings it to a whole new level. I am hoping that Leopard is going to have some of this stuff built into the OS. I am going to be looking for it out of the box and downloadable themes.. Come on Apple I have see other things that you could apply to themes.. Like Cover Flow and Core Animation
