- davidrools, on 01/07/2009, -0/+14he just didn't want to be the one the blame for the lamest macworld keynote in a decade.
- redskyformiles, on 01/07/2009, -7/+20is steve jobs dead yet?

- WardC, on 01/07/2009, -1/+92000 was not the Cube. I was at Macworld 2000 and remember it vividly, I even have video footage of the keynote I took myself. This was the keynote in which Steve introduced OS X to the public for the first time with the Aqua interface, a whole new GUI for the Mac OS, Rhapsody had been demonstrated before with the old Platinum interface but this was the DP3 which was being intro'd and distributed to developers at Macworld that year. This was January 2000. Also the mac.com service was officially announced at this show. No hardware announcements were made whatsoever...and certainly no cube. I think this was 2001. The guy has his dates wrong.
http://www.wap.org/journal/macworldcrowds/macosx.J ... - eatrains, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6The W3Schools stats only measure visitors to the W3Schools site, so their stats are pretty much worthless.
- KevenM, on 01/07/2009, -0/+6according to MacrumorsLive, yes.
- Macintoshreader, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5You couldn't have said it any better. This Macworld was the most disappointing of all.
- blankoboy, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5Seriously. I wish all the rumor sites would just 404 to hell (tuaw, macrumors, appleinsider, macdailynews)...these f-ing sites got me so hyped for a Mac Mini. Imagine my horror when I woke up this morning to see the outcome of Macworld. =( I felt like Santa kicked me in the nuts.
- davelee, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5terrible article
- specialbuddy1, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4Are you serious?
- MavRevMatt, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4You are a true Apple fanboy.
Now shut the ***** up. - Palaceguard, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3Yes it's called a filter
- SuperJimmyJimbo, on 01/07/2009, -3/+6I can't think of anything particularly witty to say.
- Macintoshreader, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3I thought that Apple fanboys didn't exist, but you proved me wrong. If Apple made the iTurd, I'm pretty sure that you'd buy it.
Also, this was the worst Macworld ever. - TheWorm, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3You've been on Digg for a year and you've only dugg 48 stories. Contribute more and people will Digg your stuff in return. That's how it works.
- joegibes, on 01/07/2009, -1/+3it's = it is
- ExSlashdotter, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2Agreed.
On another note, he's also wrong about the fact that the ipod mini was the first to use the tagline "1000 songs in your pocket". That tagline had been used since the first commercial for the first-gen ipod with the mechanical scroll wheel.
See for yourself:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF9s3TpncAo - smallnshort247, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2To tell the truth, if Steve did this keynote, I would of enjoyed it even with lack of new products.
- immatellyouwhat, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2I just said The SPECS are HORRIBLE including the Battery. I just meant the design and weight were good.
- colincornaby, on 01/07/2009, -0/+2This article has a lot of factual errors. Besides that, it stops at 2000. What gives? Apple was doing MacWorld well before 2000.
- Elranzer, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1"If Apple made the iTurd, I'm pretty sure that you'd buy it."
They've made several:

It is a terrible article though... - sirjimithy, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1Article is terribly inaccurate. Buried.
- rubychild, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1what is a mac
- Elranzer, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1The design isn't good either. One USB port = useless computer.
- slightlyoffbeat, on 01/07/2009, -3/+4I'm sorry no one dugg your story "Biggest Female Vagina on Google Adsense"
- Auzy, on 01/07/2009, -2/+3Huh? What is so great about it?
Its only marginally thinner then other equivilents, and that means nothing because its still too big to be considered ultraportable. 10" is portable, but in practical terms, the macbook air is no more portable then a normal Macbook.
Even worse, the battery cannot be replaced except by service. So you need to physically hand over your laptop to service to get the battery replaced (probably because Apple wants to profit as much as possible). Apple probably does this so that people stop saving money by purchasing 3rd party batteries (which are often superior by the time they are needed, because they are actively upgraded, whilst Apple doesn't upgrade the technology in theirs).
Sorry, but just because Steve Jobs tells you how magical something is, doesn't mean its true. There is a good reason that the Macbook air hasn't been flying off shelves as quickly as the eeePC's and ACTUAL ultraportables, and its not just the cost. - KevenM, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j316/djzave/Pict ...
- MulanLang, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1Buried. Found more information on the Macworld expo's wiki page than in this article.
- mrBitch, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1@ AppleMacStud RE: " I have purchased an iTurd. It's better known as a PC running Windows. "
Ok, dug for being a smart ass. - Elranzer, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1The doesn't appear on computers used for actual work, not just dicking around.
- Palaceguard, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1Google it
- AppleMacStud, on 01/07/2009, -1/+2I have purchased an iTurd. It's better known as a PC running Windows.
- JaycobC, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1From iPhone to iMac, we can still expect the same iCrap.
- Palaceguard, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1It's said all the time. Apple releases too many upgrades
- immatellyouwhat, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1that would be a spec also...NVMD! the air sucks
- chesterjosiah, on 01/07/2009, -1/+1Do you have a link to that tidbit, sir? Thanks in advance.
- DS011, on 01/07/2009, -0/+02010: MacBook Wheel :)
- DIGGorTHREAT, on 01/07/2009, -0/+0Miss you Steve <3
- Auzy, on 01/07/2009, -1/+1Yeah.. as eatrains said. W3schools will only be accessed by the geek crowd. Most users don't care what browser they use really, and therefore just use the default.
Safari really isn't going anywhere either.. If it is it is only because there are more mac users these days. - normalkid0615, on 01/07/2009, -1/+1Apple has nothing left to innovate. It is now up to you "the community/developers". He basically gave you a blank slate (iPhone) to create new things (video game device, music player, movie watcher, instrument etc..). What else can they come up with?
- AppleMacStud, on 01/07/2009, -2/+2No but I hope you are soon... :)
- DS011, on 01/07/2009, -0/+0Must sell more iPod's...must sell more iPods...repeat...
- jmhyer51, on 01/07/2009, -2/+1When has that ever been said by anyone that matters?
- immatellyouwhat, on 01/07/2009, -2/+1you're = you are a dick
