developers, developers, developers, developers!
I......... love........ this......... company.. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! - b3tty, on 01/11/2008, -1/+6...another idiot that didn't read the article...
- milkmage, on 01/10/2008, -0/+4read the ***** article. the bogus carrier name appeared AFTER A RESTORE "Now, I just restored and updated to 1.1.2 (not jailbroken) and suddenly and surprisingly my carrier logo now reads "ROBOTS"! "
- simplenation, on 01/10/2008, -1/+3can you not restore the original software that came with you iphone?
- phrozted, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2I have no clue what this is.
- meatmcguffin, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1This is why everyone thought that the 1.1.3 video a while back was a fake - The fake carrier name was still there without a jailbreak but it always survives a restore for some reason
- chrisxkelley, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1Please, oh great one, show me a phone that you can get with any provider that offers as much flexibility as the iPhone, that looks and performs as well as the iPhone, that costs less, service included.
- chrisxkelley, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1There's this little link under every comment that says "Reply to [name]'s comment". Use it.
- nsanidy, on 01/11/2008, -1/+1That's just word.
- wwwluckyro, on 01/10/2008, -3/+3Okay great someone did that guy a favor, but seriously, this is getting to much publicity.
- MikeTRose, on 01/11/2008, -1/+1The problem is, once you change the carrier string it stays changed across the 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 upgrade -- however, you can't jailbreak 1.1.3, so no easy way to change it back.
- trylleklovn, on 01/11/2008, -1/+1Hardly the developers decision..
- chrisxkelley, on 01/11/2008, -1/+1Seriously, shut the hell up. It was a decision between Apple and AT&T to carry the phone only on AT&T's network. It works for some people, and for others it doesn't. If you don't like it, then don't get an iPhone. Complaining about it is not going to change things.
- milkmage, on 01/10/2008, -2/+1i dunno wwwlucky - the guy had to go to Apple to fix a wonky headphone jack and wanted the default carrier put back so the fact that he hacked his phone wouldn't be obvious - publicity is in order.. there's got to be more than one person in the same situation (hacked phone in need of repair from apple)
- Hobbes24, on 01/11/2008, -3/+1digging me down won't make it any less true, apple fanboys
- SlpingInsomniac, on 01/11/2008, -4/+2Haha. Steve Balmer is crazy, that's five words.
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! - dastardlydud, on 01/10/2008, -3/+1That would be far too simple...
- joerod, on 01/10/2008, -4/+2why not restore the phone to original state and then bring it in, or jailbreak the phone run custom carrier logo again and set it as AT&T. Do you really need a custom application for this?
- inactive, on 01/11/2008, -4/+1DEVELOPER? um they changed a picture file!
They just so correctly this time- duh mactards. - and303, on 01/10/2008, -4/+1So you could pretend that you're not shackled to AT&T's ridiculous contracts?
- jazh, on 01/11/2008, -7/+2How about Apple Developers help us by making some AFFORDABLE products.
- Hobbes24, on 01/10/2008, -8/+3they could help the little guy more if they let us chose what service we wanted to use the phone with...
- breakaway, on 01/10/2008, -10/+2***** mac fanboy fags
