- n8dawg87, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16There hasn't been a live webcast of an apple keynote in ages. I HIGHLY doubt there will be one this time. Sorry.
- n8dawg87, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Is it just me or does this kind of feel like Think Secret is going back on its predictions on the Mac Pro cases being completely new? Now they are just saying "possible tweaks". I'm kind of tired of these apple pre-conference rumour mills. Can I get an amen?
- knowall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11MacRumors will have live text coverage: http://www.macrumorslive.com
- Zukunft, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Usually after a couple of hours or so on the Apple site they post up video coverage.
- innergeek, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9amen......preach it, brotha!
- UsernameTaken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7ThinkSecret lost all credibility a while ago. It's sad that now they have to post stuff on digg to get page hits.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10CNN Pipeline carried the last one live
- evansls, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I'm remembering apple only having 1 live event and that was the summer of 2002 when they debuted the iMac (flat panel). Can anyone confirm? As long as the video is up later that day I'm happy with the instant reports from mac rumors, etc.
- marshn, on 10/12/2007, -7/+12If you're going to troll, at least /try/ and update it a bit. ;)
- thegreyfox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4They had a few the year before but they kinda suck cause of the drop outs/ too many connections. I do remember seeing the first web cast done in H.264, it was real nice.
- bantam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah ThinkSecret is such a waste right now... But it takes just one great prediction to grab people back.
- mkp2k4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Well they probably changed because before they didn't have the truth.
Think Secret is USUALLY right, but the only Apple rumors that are 100% correct are Kevin Rose the night before the event. - geminitojanus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"Am I the only person who thinks that they are going to release a cheaper Cinema Display? For people who buy Mac mini's, the display is more expensive than the computer!"
Mac Mini = BYODKM; Bring Your Own Damn Keyboard and Mouse... errr Display, Keyboard, Mouse. The Mac Mini isn't for new /computer/ users, it's for new /mac/ users, to augment the usage of another computer. I really wish they would have built a KVM switch into it, but even without it, the Mini is a formidable machine on its own. - EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2As far as I know there will be no universal binary support from Adobe until CS3, which last I heard is due out early next year.
http://www.digg.com/apple/Adobe:_No_Universal_Binary_Support_for_Intel_Macs_until_CS_3_ - lunarworks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The pre-keynote hysteria isn't complete until we see an "elevator photo".
- mastercheif, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7Am I the only person who thinks that they are going to release a cheaper Cinema Display? For people who buy Mac mini's, the display is more expensive than the computer!
- porkstacker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I’m just looking forward to lower prices for the soon-to-be-liquidated quad core G5 towers. I’m a lowly peeon; I don’t need all that Intel mumbo jumbo.
-he who stacks pork - emrys, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think that list is funny.
- Quix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2What is it about you Apple-hating trolls anyway (do0m2 and flag564, among others (yes, iSEPIC, I'm talking about you...))? Story after story after story, here you are, spewing your idiot nonsense concerning things you know nothing about. You're like the guy at school with no friends who insists on butting into conversations to tell everyone how lame everything is and how great he is but he secretly just wants desperately to belong...
It's sad, really. Either embrace your inner Mac user crying to get out or go troll the Dell stories. My bandwidth tires of you... - iamdexter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I hope the price gets lower.
http://www.clarksshoes.us/ - erkokite, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7Where did you get that list? BYTE February 1988? ROFL.
- pawas01, on 10/15/2008, -0/+1They are expensive.
http://www.shoesworld.us - Bioshocker, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Guess I'm alone in finding Doom's post pretty damn funny for retro value? We aren't allowed to laugh at how bad 80s humor was? "LOL RONALD REAGAN!"
- davdav, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7Are you kidding me?
- flag564, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"What is it about you Apple-hating trolls anyway (do0m2 and flag564, among others (yes, iSEPIC, I'm talking about you...))? Is this similar to when Apple users show up on MS threads to spew about how much "M$" sucks or how (product name) From "M$" sucks and will fail? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Kind of tired?" That this ***** continues, year after year while people never learn, is a disgrace.
- inactive, on 09/23/2008, -0/+0I ll add, Photoshop incredibly quickly. The G4's may be slow but a multiprocessor G5 is still pretty friggin' speedy though they lack a good successor. Perhaps they will continue to offer G5 powermacs and XServes for a while still
http://www.adidasshoess.com - snoble, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2I hope there is also an announcement from adobe there. There are a lot of people who own powermacs just because they need a box (or boxes) that can run Photoshop incredibly quickly. The G4's may be slow but a multiprocessor G5 is still pretty friggin' speedy (though they lack a good successor). Perhaps they will continue to offer G5 powermacs and XServes for a while still. I can imagine many businesses that need to expand current infrastructure regularly and are not prepared to make a jump to a new processor family.
- chicagobiker, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Amen! I kind of liked the whole surprise thing and the RDF. It takes all the fun out of it when everybody tries to guess what's under the tree before Xmas. Also it can lead to major letdowns where there shouldn't be any. I remember about 3 keynotes ago when everyone was SURE there was going to be an iPhone and they even convinced me, and so I sat for an hour waiting for the iPhone and it never came. It was a real letdown.
- shadowmoses, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3WWDC on Monday is going to be great can't wait to see the official Leopard list if its anything like the one floating around Digg then most of us will be very pleased, roll on steve and WWDC 06
- Vancouver, on 10/12/2007, -8/+7Is there going to be a live webcast of the Keynote?
- sych0, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Merom chips plz :(
- flag564, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3"Ha Ha.. now go back to Macsux.com
The Adults have better things to talk about..."
Like trying to derive from a banner if Apple is going to release an Iphone? - DocDEB, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4do0m2,
Please use proper sarcasm tags ( /start_sarcasm.../end_sarcasm ) in the future. Remember your diggs depend upon clear communication.
Thank you. We now return control of your browser. - n00bst3r, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4I hope they roll out the new Merom MBPs soon because it's already looking like I'll miss the start of school.
- tblaze, on 10/12/2007, -8/+6I can't remember the last time ThinkSecret was right about anything... I am waiting for Kevin Rose to post his inside info....
- grayapple, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1The video of the Steve-note would be online a few hours after the thing is over - But since their servers are always slow around that time, I'm just gona watch it the next day.
- Kyderdog, on 10/12/2007, -10/+6Ha Ha.. now go back to Macsux.com
The Adults have better things to talk about... - EricZBA, on 10/12/2007, -14/+3Amen. Lets start our own rumor. Steve Jobs & Apple to announce CURE FOR CANCER at next week's WWDC. Then a few hours before the keynote speech we'll just say our source backed out or something.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -16/+0@Kyderdog

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -48/+2great things about Macs:
1. Where is the disk eject?
2. They only have one mouse button, less productivity
3. Where are the function (F1, F2, etc.) buttons?
4. They are slow as hell
5. Only macintosh makes the software
6. No real multi-tasking
7. Real men use DOSThe Mac OS Sucks!!!
8. Your system has crashed, what do you do now (without the backup (DOS))
9. They're not IBM compatible
10. They're made by the same people that made the apple IIe
11. They're not quite as powerful as a Commodore or Tandy
12. The Atari had better games
13. Microsoft's chairman, Bill Gates, is very public, who the heck is mac's chairman
14. Formatting a disk takes up half of its space
15. They have about as much memory as Ronald Reagan
16. No real businessman would own one or be caught using one
17. They somehow force schools to buy them so students don't learn how to use a real computer untill college
18. It costs more for everything on a mac
