- newbill123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Is this the Looney Tunes image that has expired copyright? If so, be warned that even though some old cartoons have falled out of copyright, the characters are still trademarked. And trademarks only expire when they are not in use. True, there are some forms of use where you can use trademarks without permission of the trademark owner (filming someone in a stadium wearing a Superman shirt, or using a cell from a cartoon that you are trying to sell) but it doesn't appear that using the characters to sell other products is fair use of an active, registered trademark.
