Mac Office sales soar on Apple's gains

news.com — While Apple's market share gains are cause for consternation for many in Redmond, one unit is clearly benefiting. Microsoft's Mac unit is set to disclose on Tuesday that copies of the new Office for Mac 2008 are flying off the shelves at three times the rate of its predecessor.

  • jim51109, on 05/14/2008, -2/+2I have been in the IT field for over 10 years and used all flavors of Mac, Linux, Unix and Windows and i can say even though i started out as a MAC guy i have converted to Windows and Windows by far outperforms MAC. Too bad on a damn Mac you have to run MS software. Keep on making Microsot more power leaches hahaha
  • OKeric, on 05/14/2008, -1/+1I just saw another Mac commercial tonight and I can't believe they're still bashing Vista so much, it's not even funny anymore. Honestly, show me what the ***** your Leopard can do and what it looks like instead of telling me Leopard is better than Vista and maybe I'll get excited about it.
